Its GREAT hearing ALL THESE AVAILABLE treatments that improve all the horrific ongoing symptoms of Alzheimer's disease! My burning desperate question is, WHERE CAN A VICTIM OF THIS AWEFUL DISEASE GET or start with all the treatments, Dr Bredesen has numerous videos promising to help improve ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE???
Excellent!!! Men and women such as Dale Bredesen and Deborah Kan should be household names instead of these vapid celebrities and jocks Americans typically idealize. They are the true American heroes.
Deborah thank you for bringing up the issue of COST! Medicare does not pay for most of it and many many many of us must live on an average of 1,200. a month take away the cost of Medicare, Medicap and drug plans.....wow! And the REALLY hard part is when doctors are not up on the latest advances......the look on their face when you ask them to order these tests! I even had one ask me when I asked about one of the inflammation markers I expected to see on test results, she said , well we dont test for that.....I asked why and her answer was "well what would you do with that information".........oh yes, I have changed doctors! Those who decide what medicare will cover, must be educated!!!! It would be nice if it happened before I die!
Amazing topic I red the book from Dale Bredesen he has a great knowledge about functional medicine everybody should read that book I promote this book here in Europe !
Deborah, I have been binge watching your videos. You are a truly gifted interviewer. I thank you so much for applying your talents to this problem of dementia. I was however saddened to see a video in your series entitled "Fighting for the Right to Die". As difficult as a future with dementia would be, for both the sufferer and caregivers, I believe it's wrong to hasten death through suicide.
Hi! Thanks so much for your comment. Please understand we don’t advocate any side but rather feel the need to understand different viewpoint sis beneficial.
You can boil it down to 4 things: consistent deep sleep, no-sugar diet, exercise and stress management. There are 1000 things you can do like vitamins and sunlight but these 4 are pretty big.
DR BREDESEN, WHERE CAN I GET HELP DIRECTLY FROM YOU FOR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, IM DESPERATELY SEEKING ALL THE TREATMENTS YOU SHARE IN SO MANY OF YOU VIDEOS, FOR MY MOTHER. PLEASE HELP ME
May I suggest that you make 2 egg omelette with coconut oil with serving of avocado, tomatoes, olives & cucumbers instead or cereals for your Mum's breakfast. Needless to say that eggs need to be from outside chickens & organic veg. Check some more Keto breakfasts ideas on here.
I started the ketoflex diet, but ran into difficulties, Ive had a duodenal ulcer and gallbladder issues (polyps) and leaky gut. With other Ketogenic diets I've run into problems, I seem to have difficulties with 70% fat, could be my gallbladder is rebelling or the duodenum can't handle it, the very foods that soothe it ALL break ketosis, oat porridge/ripe bananas etc, I did try cabbage in bone broth and it didnt rally help, cabbage/carrot juice did but again all break ketosis. | wonder if the diet could be tweaked or if you could create a vegan or non keto diet for people who have serious difficulty in eating so much fat? What could I do in my situation? Could I do the MIND diet which allows for wholegrains and much less fat, it isnt a ketogenic diet and possibly shorten my feeding window to 6hrs (18/6) so I have more of that autophagy or even OMAD 23/1, but then I worry about bile stasis in my gallbladder and so I figured if I added cholagogue herbal teas this would fix that problem but I wondered whether this could cause those duodenal aches as the pain comes when I try extending the fasting period and adding those teas, I wonder if Im helping the bile release and avoiding an accumulation of sludge but this bile then squeezes onto a duodenum on its own, the bile burns the duodenum and this is why this happens possibly. Thanks for your great research and your books, I feel sad that \I have many problems doing the diet and hope I can find ways to get into ketosis, for example doing the FMD for a week per month and adding exercise before breaking my daily fast, now I realise why the protocol is 12hrs, after 12 hrs the gallbladder could start have problems.
I always wondered about Ronald Regan who was one of the smartest men in American history. Brain training would not have helped him because he spent his “retirement years” being a 2-term president. His job was his brain training. And then I read something fascinating. Apparently, Regan was a sugarholic and always ate candy even to the point of having it on his desk. It put 2+2 together for me. 😢
I use L-Lysine for Herpes gingivitis prevention which is effective. Problem with me is peridontits lower jaw. At my age I still should have the teeth extracted in my eighties. I lost 3 siblings to dementia.

A UC Berkeley study found the best way to prevent Alzheimer's is good sleep.

body will be OK!!!!
ketoflex is mostly veggies and is not 70% fat it is more like 20%
