I over stayed in 2017. It isn't a big deal. I was in the bukid and going into Butuan wasn't a realistic option... so I over stayed for a good 6 months or so. Soon as you show up... they aren't happy at the B.I. They give you a form, you fill it out... because its all retroactive... you pay the extra fees.... its not that much more in penalties... about another 200 dollars more than it would of been had you just extended it properly (i recommend do it properly because its cheap and easy... just do it for 8 months or a large block of time so you don't have to keep going back monthly. Anyway the head officer in charge gave me a lil lecture (take it like a man you did over stay) and all was well... we laughed and had a good time afterwards..... pay your fees is Ok.

I accidentally overstayed 1 month. Immigration was corrupt. He said I owed 10000php I told him I only had 4000 php. He said ok. ☕️

I am from Romania and me and my mom arrived 24th August and the agency scammed us and we are stuck here.. we went to embassy and they said they cant help or it can take a long time.. We currently overstayed for 2-4 days.. this is unfair especially if we got scammed and that our country is taking way too long to respond.. What can we do ? My uncle who is a balikbayan US citizen wants to visit and stay here for about 60 days. He wants to know what are the rules applied to him. Is he limited to 30 days only? If he extends his stay beyond 30 days does he have to pay an extension fee? Is he required to acquire a 9(a) visa for the extended stay? The problem is it states that his return ticket date (to US) must be within 30 days only. (All other required health protocols have been accomplished already.)

My parents are US citizens & went home to the Philippines in January of 2020 but was not able to return in May of 2020 due to the covid pandemic. My father sadly passed away in Feb. 2021 after a stroke, & my mother was not able to return to the States after his death, since also have to deal w/ her own health issues w/c required 2 different kind of surgery. Now that she's well & covid restrictions have been lifted we planned to have her return to the States. How much will she have to pay for overstaying penalties & fines? Thanks again & God bless.

What are the steps to do in order to avail the temporary suspension of order of leave memorandum? Many thanks!
My understanding is, when you've exhausted your maximum stay in the Philippines after maxing out all extensions, you are considered an overstay status. But because the temporary suspension of OTL, you will instead just pay all necessary fines. BI will not serve you an OTL with a specific date to leave the country.
Also, IF foreigners were already served an OTL during the pandemic but have not paid fines, it's best to do so, pay the fines and stay in the country until the suspension of the OTL has been lifted.
It's Oct 2022 and there's been no formal lifting of the OTL since it has not been back to normal yet ...but is close to.

And the Philippines embassy said need to 92500 pesos. How he can pay if his card has difficulties issues problem. @naanyaaro7107 yeah I exteded it multiple times. just go a few days/a week before your visa expires and renew it.
I do it in SM Aura in BGC, you can pay a bit more and get it done the same day (other way I think you get it next day), takes 1-2hours.

@naanyaaro7107 If your visa is already expired then Idk what happens, maybe you need to go somewhere else. Where I extended it it's on the SM aura mall, no appointment needed. Search for it I have no 'contact' I just go there.
Question, if a US citizen is not vaccinated, is he allowed to enter? But with a Medical Certificate that he is not allowed for vaccines.

Once you have arrived. Before the 30 day upon arrival, call your travel agent to rebook your return ticket and extend the visa.

Hello. It will be 30 days and can be extended for 2 or 6 months increments and up to a maximum stay of 36 months.

Buy a throw away ticket for your exit after 30 days..if you haven't done that with your original flight to the Philippines.or ask your airline for flex ticket good up to 6 months to a year...very simple... Guys that plan on staying or 30 days use throw away to Vietnam indonesia.or you could also fly out of the Philippines for 24 to any country close by and return for another 30 days .plus if your gal has a passport take her with you for mini vacation.
this is very complicated, i am from the uk and i am british, my daughter and partner are filipino and live in manila, i would like to stay in the philippines for 4 months, can i use my 30 day visa, and then apply for extension for 3 months ? or do i need to apply for a 4 months visa before deaparture from the uk?
visa on arrrival allows you to get extensions up to 3 years. you get to choose your extension when you go to the B.I. .. i suggest you just extend to 4 months within your 28 day.... if u pay an extra 40 bucks or so it even comes with a Filipino ID you can use to open bank accounts etc.
Be careful, I called PAL yesterday, February 1, 2022 and was told that my return ticket date must be within the 30 day visa upon arrival date. PAL will not let passengers board the plane if the return ticket date is more than 30 days.
I have watched many UA-cam videos and not one individual does clarify this issue.
My advise is check with your airline carrier.
I am applying for a 9A visa. I’m not taking any chances.
@@joehinds29988 I had purchased my ticket back in December and the return date exceeds the 30 day entry visa date, thus I am not allowed to board my flight (as confirmed by PAL). I was working on a spousal visa anyways when the Philippines announced the entry of foreigners. I know it may not make sense, but I don’t mind obtaining the 9A visa for $34.50 CDN. The 9A visa will be good for 59 days, which I do intend to extend for an additional 3 years.

Inquire lang po... Half-sister ko po overstay na po siya since somewhere 2013 na inquire po kami sa B. I at sabi nila minimum penalties each year .. Di po afford namin ang bayad except ang ticket going back...

It is a policy for now by itaf but you can extend i am sure it always been 30 days free visa but you can extend
