i didnt realize how good it was until it was gone
This theme quickly grew on me, at first I was disappointed, now I love it.
Same, especially how short it is
I started to hate it for some reason.
@@spacejunk2186 After 2 years.. I really don't like it that much lol
Since this is a screenshot, pretty damn cool. I hope the flags will move and the sky changes collour or something. I like it
Rick Morks the flag moves, birds are flying and the chain on the axe is dangling. That's about it
Thats for now, they said some animations are missing, but i already like it tho
borek921
Also, the fog is moving
Here's what I have to personally say about this. I think the opening is a perfect portrayal of what is to come. War is slow, war is violent but methodical. I think it portrays the perfect amount of violence, epicness and it has this nice motif that this war and battle for Azeroth will be a war to remember. It grows and it builds. Imagine! 00:00 - 00:22 is kinda like the two armies marching, eventually facing each other, the ill wind blows... then 00:22 - 00:55 is kinda like this surmounting build where the leaders of both factions prep their warriors for battle, ALSO not to mention this strong growl from the lower brass at 00:27 and throughout. then 00:55 - 1:00 is kinda like that end of that prep phase before the battle. Then on the battlefield it would get quiet before they charge onto the field, staring down their enemies (on both factions) would be roughly 1:05 - 1:35 and then boom. That battle commences at 1:40 where low brass, percussion, and the warlike chanting kinda take the spotlight and then it transitions into the fanfare-ish piece (forgot the name of it) around 1:57 ish. Now granted I think they could've cut out the happier sounding tracks, but then again I see why they added it? I feel as though if they were to rearrange the transitions a little bit better than this would've been awesome. BUT these happier sounding pieces are decent nontheless. But I still personally believe the starting piece is perfect trying to take you on this journey of battle. But idk. :)
1:40 and 7:30 is where it's all at!
I wasn't fond at first but the more I listen to it the more I catch parts that were in previous login music compilations. I really like it, now. Also, there will be animation to the image. It's just the first version we have.
im in love
Sylvanas decision makes this channel one of the few safe places on UA-cam.
Rntypical 😄
In just a few hours, this Login Screen goes live. :)
WoW music is like Tchaikovsky... on steroids. Love it!
6:20 Glory of Kul Tirias
This is prob the most epic ive seen for a log in screen in a VERY long time
Warcraft RTS vibes
To think this all started with Garrosh back in MoP when he threw the Heart of Y’shaarj into the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and then helped found the Iron Horde...
If there’s one thing WoW tends to almost always do right, it’s the story. Even if they’ve hit a few ditches lately, they’ve picked up speed and are soaring again. Never lose your soul, Blizzard, it’s a wonderful thing.
make the sky animation like an vortex of light, it would be sick. Also add motion to the grass .
I love it.
Shame that it doesn't have a portal
i like it tho, reminds me of warcraft 1
Well, the gate to Undercity is technically a portal.
Jertholden portal to where? We are on Azeroth
Each login screen has had a theme of a 'gateway' more than anything else.
Classic - Dark Portal
TBC- Dark Portal, again
WotLK - The gates to Icecrown in the distance
Cata - Deathwing sat upon the main gates of Stormwind
MoP - The two guardian statues guarding the entrance to Mogu'shan Palace and the Vale
Wod - Dark Portal, again 2.0
Legion - Demon Portal on Argus
BfA - The gates of Lordaeron
To the city.
I'd 100% take BFA over Shadowlands, yikes. BFA's zones and experiences (maybe not 8.3 corruption was garbage) was pretty good.
1:55 AWESOME
I don't know if it's just from hating BfA, but hearing the beginning of this song fills me with dread.
1:40 Hordebois
Bleedhammersito Puto Gordo indeed. amazing
Bleedhammersito Puto Gordo ye, indeed the worst part..
8:55 onward.... I get chills.
Amazing!!!
I Love it so match
7:30 OMFG
WOD theme is the best
And wotlk
Song at 02:00 ???
why is the part after 7:30 so short?
1:40 just amazing! What's the song of this??
"What makes us strong". It's the BfA cinematic soundtrack composed by Neal Acree.
6:53
Alliance music in this is just perfect, but then the some horde sounds starts and ruins everything :/
nice
Soon we march to undercity
so sorry for all the brave alliance warriors that fell fighting some green savages!
Only the first segment is any sort of engaging and feeling like an expansion theme... and it's because it reuses parts of the Legion theme music. The rest is so in the minor and generic-fantasy that it stops sounding like the main theme and does the opposite of getting you pumped.
Does anyone know from which soundtrack 6:51 is?
kultiran - freehold music
This is our land ! The Human land ! The land of the ALLIANCE !
FOR KING ANDUIN, FOR VARIAN, FOR THE ALLIANCE !!!
Pedro Henrique Miller We take back what is rightfully ours! For the Alliance, above all!
Lordaeron ≠ Alliance
Totally hitting on the original poster of this comment! Also, FOR THE ALLIANCE!
No this is not your land kiddos. You are babies of Stormwind, you have nothing in common with Lordaeron. Lordaeron's rightful and original inhabitants are Forsaken.
Forsaken take lordaeron by unleashing the plague shame on them and bitch sylvanas will soon die and go to the abyss where she belong with all traitors! FOR THE ALLIANCE
7:30 you're welcome.
There's next new expansions after battle for azeroth, probably 50 but blizzard did announce 60 new expats after this one in alpha server, I don't know, I'm guessing
Only if the gameplay would be good as the art.
#MakeLordaeronGreatAgain!
Is this the final expansion?
Not by a long shot.
for the alliance it is.
Abelhawk it is for the horde
I don't think so. Next expansion may be Dragonblight
Че птички не летают? Флаги не развиваются?
Não gostei muito não, ainda prefiro a musica login de Mist of Pandaria e Warlords of Draenor,
The only memorable part is at 2:15, the rest is generic fantasy music with no homage to some previous expansions themes (Magisters Terrace sample in WotLK, etc.)
Haha, come on man! They can't pay homage to every single theme from every expansion in a single track! I mean they could, but that's not the point. They reference vanilla theme and Legion theme first off, but they also interweave new themes, which should be the overarching message conveyed to the listener. It's not just a pure homage to all old themes, it's supposed to bring forth new feelings with a dash of some previous ones.
lifexlovexlivin It was a tradition until Mists of Pandaria to uae motifs from previous expansions, and it worked pretty well, since it symbolised a stage passed, an arc finished. This theme just sounds generic and indistinguishable from other fantasy MMO themes. It doesn't have the Warcraft feeling anymore, it's just "epic choral and orchestra" from the start to the end, and it seriously lacks any inspiration or emotion. It's like if they had told Glenn Stafford: "just make something epic", instead of showing him the story, characters and visuals of the new expansion. Can't really blame Glenn though, he is a very talented composer, but it's the first time Russell Brower isn't composing the main theme, and Glenn Stafford, in my opinion, always focuses on epicness above all else, which is not bad, but isn't fitting for a main theme that is supposed to transmit new feelings, different emotions, a new trial, etc. The other aspect that ruined this theme, is that it sounds like they just cut the original songs and just pasted them together without altering everything. Before Warlords of Draenor or Legion, they used to compose a whole new theme from scratch for the main theme, using variations for the different motifs and themes that were in it, so it sounded special. On this theme, however, it sounds as if they were put directly from the original ones (well, aside from the beginning of course, which is always new). For all of that, this theme is a mess. Good for any generic MMO? Of course, fitting. But for World of Warcraft? Nope.
Actually, the Blood Elf leitmotif playing in WotLK is due to how their story is directly connected to the Lich King. Also, San'layn. Thus its part in the login screen.
I don't really hear any other "homages" in the other Login Screens, and I, myself, in my humblest opinion, think this one fits well the expansion. But hey, that's opinion right?
Jorge Porras WotLK Theme and Cataclysm theme are perfect examples
There's also, in the main theme, Anduin's theme from Legion transformed from mournful into a stirring march. Lot of continuity if you take a minute to notice it...
Kind of disappointing to be honest. The ones from BC and MoP are still the best in my opinion.
in order to understand the song, you have to take into account what its symbolizing, this fits the entireity of the expansion perfectly, its war, its giving melody to the death, and heroic acts of those many involved. when you connect lore and music, you will then truly begin to appreciate it.
my favourite one was the vanilla one. coming from warcraft 3 it really hit me knowing all the possibilities that could exist in this world i had already been part of in a small way. but then they opened the world in all its glory as you could imagine.
I am sorry but that it is not case it is just poor mashup of not that great songs from Bfa (apart from first two minutes, Zandalar and KT theme). Just look at the transitions they are objectively bad. That said it is slowly growing on me but it is still weakest login screen music to date.
Btw yea i also think that Vanilla was the best but it is of course much easier to make remarkable two minutes track than ten minutes one. WoD did best imo (when not counting Vanilla and BC which are really different category).
Wrath and Legion IMO
technokokos wod did have a very, very Well done Score now that you mention it
Well, unlike the game the music never gets old.
funny how helmets scattered on the battlefield don't have any of their former owners bits inside them. BTW, while this overture is objectively good music, it barely sounds like Warcraft
I HATE the fact that Anduin is in login screen music. I love that theme, but it has NO PLACE in loading screen music. As a player, thats how I feel. It really is a big deal since we see it every time we log in. And Legion login had terrible version of WoW music. They just need to copy old ones, maybe alrter tiiiiny bit - and thats it! Is that too hard to do?!
That's your personal opinion. Many players love the shit out of legion's music, I thought it was incredible. And Anduin does have a place in the theme; just like all previous expansion themes, they not only bring forth new themes, they interweave old themes. You have no right to tell a composer what should and shouldn't be in a theme; that's a composer's choice. You can dislike it all you want, but that's how art goes.
lifexlovexlivin omfg exactly, its MY opinion, and I have everyt right to state it. And I have every right to direct my criticism at composers, same goes for praise. I can not praise every single thing they do. If something doesn’t feel right,I’m gonna say it. Whats the point of pretending that something is good, when it really isn’t.
If they used more of a BFA cinematic music, the effect would’ve been way better and more epic than this mashup.
Well, technically, they did use older themes. The first theme used is a vanilla theme, so they fulfilled that reference. But besides that and the Lion's Rest/Anduin theme, the other 90% are all BFA themes. They have to break new ground, can't solely live in the past.
You may not find It's purpose now, as you don't know what the story will tell us and how it all will end or go on. It's all about patience and trying to understand the meaning of each melody as the expansion comes to its end.
I think this is the worst theme an expansion has ever had but it's not because they have supplanted the old alliance themes with Anduin's theme
bunch of ungrateful haters...
Static artwork? Really?
Agnes Lynd No there is animation dont worry 😄
wew got jebaited there

Only the flags, birds and debris actually move, rest is just drawings.
It's a shame really, since it just shows more laziness of blizz.
Did you want the walls to move like if you were on an acid trip?,they animated what was supposed to be moving
its terrible
Disagree entirely, but that's your opinion and you're entitled to it
lifexlovexlivin I'm just talking about the theme though. The background is amazing, though it could be improved if the door to Lordaeron was in the middle
Isn't that just perfectionism? They wanted to view up to the sky in an angle from the battleground so you would see weapons/armor, Lordaeron and the 'war-tainted' sky to finish the 'feeling' of the art. Not put the door in the middle just so that the point you're focused on is centralized, ruining the feel of the art because the sky would be hidden pretty much entirely xD
By far the lamest menu music they've ever had.
The worst music I have heard really its got nothing to do with wow :P
