I have the same pack. I bought it when LA Police Gear first released them for what I guess must have been an introductory price of 45 dollars! I love the pack and use it all the time. I have loaded it down intentionally heavy with 50+ lbs of gear and taken it for a 12 mile hike. It was very comfortable. It has plenty of room for all the gear I need for even an extended outing. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and sharing your excellent experience with this pack! That is great to hear and $45 is an outstanding deal! I agree, this pack is very comfortable and can hold everything you need for a nice outing! Thank you, again! -Dave
4:42 Molly is the Best on all packs... 6:40 I see that your Elastic Mesh bottle holder is already damaged after a short use of the bag...this is why I prefer molly attachment over elastic mesh....to many of my past bags with outer elastic mesh pockets, end up worn out, or the mesh is torn. 8:11 The sleeping bag compartment is a great option. I like it.
You are exactly right about the mesh pockets...they do seem to rip easily. I do like the sleeping bag compartment, too, but I like the option of being able to unzip that pocket and make use of the full interior. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by, my friend! -Dave
This pack is on closeout for $50.00, and I bought it, and the LAPG 5 in 1 Jacket, using a 20% off coupon to save. I already own the LAPG 72 hour Atlas pack. And I use anytime i fly out on business trips or go out of town. I could not pass this pack up for less than $50.
Excellent review! I have a personal issue with large capacity bags - I’m not happy until every nick and cranny is stuffed full of gear. I just stick with smaller packs. Better for my back that way!
Thank you for the kind words, Ken! I can understand trying to fill all the space in packs. An interesting thing this pack has done for me (being that its a heavy pack) is that it's really gotten me thinking about my gear and packing lighter, especially for hiking/backpacking trips. -Dave
That backpack is probably one of the best I have seen other than the Sandpiper of California brand which I have. It can carry quite a bit and the one I have is similar and it can have the water bladder in it also. I carry two canteens (one on my utility belt, and one in the backpack), and have a backup knife in my kit. You made a good choice in backpacks and it should serve you well for years.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your awesome comment, Sidney! Sounds like you have an excellent pack of your own there! You are exactly right...this pack is built to last and it should serve me well for many years! -Dave
Well, I guess I'll have to get this pack. Just purchased a Mardingtop 65 liter several months ago. Wife will have to get over it. Lol. Thanks for the review!
I think you would love this pack, Mike! I am really enjoying it, a lot! I enjoy the fact that I can really think about packing lighter to make it that much more pleasurable to use. How do you like your 65 liter pack? Just a bit larger than this one. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your awesome comment, my friend! -Dave
Thank you for stopping by, my friend! I have been wearing LAPG Operator pants for years and I love them! I completely agree about their products and customer service! -Dave
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your kind words, Rick! I couldn't have said it any better - a lot of pack for the money! Very well said! -Dave
Hey Dave, great review, I love LAPG bc of you! Good quality for the money...ofc my favorite when looking for gear. Thanks for sharing my friend. Blessings from our house to yours. Take care bushcraft brother, Nikki.
Hey Nikki, thank you for the kind words! I am very happy that I could help with the LAPG stuff! I like them a lot and there are some very nice people at that company. I hope everything is going well and I hope to talk with you again soon! I would also like to mention that I really appreciate all of your support! -Dave
I must say that that pack looks like it came out of the shop this morning. Not a scuff, dirty mark to be seen. Cant say I believe it has been used everyday for a month.
Thank you for watching! I am not in the business of lying to viewers and I only mention it because I have pics on IG of me hiking with this pack up to a month prior to the video. I also don't believe in reviewing a product for a company without putting a lot of practical use into it. -Dave
Wow, great video, no one discusses their snowshoe set up. I sometimes worry about certain Cordura in colder weather, I've had some that literally gets so had you can't do anything with it. Your area of the country is closer to Canada and if it works for you it should work for us. One of the considerations we have to take for living in the north, at least there are no snakes or giant spiders.
Thank you for watching, A J! Very nice to hear from you, my friend! I had noticed that years ago, I tried to find videos on people showing their snowshoe setup but was unsuccessful so I thought this could help show how useful this pack can be. Especially for Northerners like us..haha! So far, the cordura has held up really well in the changing weather. Yes, here in western NYS, we are not far from you, at all! You are exactly right...no giant snakes or spiders or the mass amount of large ticks they have in the south. -Dave

Nice pack buddy! While it is a bit big for me ( only because of my trashed spine ) I do like the layout. I could see a solar panel fitting well on the top straps. Take care my friend
Thank you for watching, my friend! I agree, the layout is very nice! The straps on the top aren't large but with the smaller size, they can fit some really cool things on top, much like your solar panel idea. Great to hear from you and you take care, too! -Dave
This pack has been outstanding, Tim! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your awesome comment, my friend! Always great to hear from you, brother! -Dave
Awesome review. It looks similar to my backpack except yours have many more moly straps, witch is a big advantage. Thank you very much for sharing and reviewing it with us. Best regards -Yves. (I hope you didn’t get to much snow)
Thank you for watching, Yves! Very nice to hear from you, my friend! I like that this pack just has a simple, low profile row of molle. We didn't get too much snow but there is more on the way! Too bad it won't be snowshoe type snow, though. -Dave
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your kind, encouraging comment, Jeff! It's always great to hear from you and you take care, too, my friend! -Dave

Not sure why youtube likes to do that. I don't have the same problem with FB, nor IG, but it happens to me on YT. Oh well, it's great to have you back, my friend! Great review. I'm actually in the market for a pack now. The two I have been considering are this and the Teton 4000 you've done a previous video on. How would these two compare in your opinion?
Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, my friend! Great question - they are both outstanding packs and not dissimilar to each other. The differences that have stuck out for me are that the this LAPG has molle on the bottom which is a big deal for me and has nice side compression straps, while the Teton has neither. But the sleeping bag compartment unzips on the Teton, it has longer straps on top of the pack and weighs about 1.5 pounds lighter than this LNT pack. They are both great packs. Hope this helps! -Dave

Great review. I'm actually in the market for a pack now. The two I have been considering are this and the Teton 4000 you've done a previous video on. How would these two compare in your opinion?
Same here. My 3 main brands for budget packs are LAPG, Teton, and mountainsmith
-Dave
