Thanks for sharing. I have the condor 3 day pack and it cost twice as much. Looks the same. Im glad that you tested it for 8 months before reviewing it. Looks like a great buy.
RhinoCable Thank you for watching, my friend! Yes, it looks to be about the same as the 3-day pack, just a tad bigger. I have seen reviews done where initially, the person really like the product and then you see another video with many issues on the same product. I believe that gear needs to be roughly tested before a real informative video can be done. However, when the reviews are "first impression" reviews as opposed to "recommendation reviews", it makes a difference to the viewer. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! -Dave
I've had the exact same pack for nearly 2 years, same color too, liked it so much I bought another, black one... That stays in my car as an emergency/go bag. The tan one I have taken all over... to Europe, Canada, and many US states... it is a awesome carry on bag. I went to Canada for 10 days and that pack is all I took. Fitted clothes well, just fits in the smaller plane overhead storage. Took it through London, trains and underground subways, perfect size and comfortable to wear. I got lots of comments on it on planes and airports. The tan color is perfect for airports. Had a woman at the money exchange admire it. The only thing I not sure about for air travel is the plastic tray to hold the shape... it has a large metal strip sewn in the middle... I always worried that TSA would z-ray it and think it could be used as a weapon... I not sure if they would.. any ideas? But because I just don't want it to be lost for when I do hike with it, I decided to take it out and replace with cardboard I cut to size for trips when I fly. It's not as good as the tray, but it works. Other than that, it makes a perfect carry-on bag. I stow the waist system inside the bag, and unstrap the bottom shoulder straps and you can then slide them inside the back compartment, and you now have a strapless pack that you can carry suitcase style from the side handles and easily put into the overhead storage. Love this bag, and it's holding up great, no rips, no issues. And great video and review of this awesome pack.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your awesome comment! I really appreciate you sharing your experience with this pack, especially the airport information. Great use of the suitcase style side handles! I couldn't agree more, it's an unbelievable pack. The one in this video was my first, and I buried it with my pup that passed away and immediately bought another because I love it so much. -Dave
Nice pack. In my Condor pack, there's a pouch under the straps where I keep my Grabber tarp! My 1st Aid is always in a front pouch marked with bright para-cord zipper pulls for easy ID. For $50 I wouldn't mind having one as a day pack with a change of clothes in it and a medium weight gear load-out. Thanks for the Look!
I am very happy to hear that you love the pack, Parker! I am glad I could be of assistance and keep me posted on how you are liking it, my friend! -Dave
Thank you for sharing such a amazing backpack, it is very excellent with all the pockets, pouches, and places to store your gear to find and be able to use! Thanks again Ron.
Thank you for watching! I actually give a better look at the bottom molle and attach my MSS sleeping bags to the bottom in this video - ua-cam.com/video/TwTxAoqDz5I/v-deo.html - I do it all the time and it works great! -Dave
Wow, this really looks like a great backpack! A little big for me, but very nice. Nice vid with a clear showing of all the pockets etc plus your experiences with it.
+marieketie Thank you for the kind words, my friend! I really appreciate that! It's a very nice pack and very durable! I hike in the woods with it every day and it is going strong! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your nice comment! -Dave
LA Police gear has some great deals ! I have several of their bug out bags, they are well made with many pockets and an excellent price. I am buying this pack !
Roha Waha I completely agree about LAPG! Some very good gear over there, especially packs. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your great comment, my friend! -Dave
Nice pack. Mine lasted about 5 years of very ruff use. However the one I had was an older model with a few less features. The thing that went first was the zippers but I know a lot more about zipper care than I did then. :) Great video review.
+Terry Craig (The Disabled Hiker) Thank you, Terry! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave your nice comment! This pack is outstanding and significantly cheap than other similar tactical packs. Nice to hear from you, my friend! -Dave
I know this is an older video, but I am looking at one of these packs. This is exactly the kind of review/dig through I was looking for. Thanks, and you just got a new sub.
With a DOLOS V2 kit, I can, keep my AR Pistol inside the bag with the folding sig brace. For outside where the temsion straps are and water bottle holder, i can keep a 18 to 22" Shotgun, anti bear persay. I use break away straps for easy access. This bag makes a EXCELLENT Anti Terror Bag too. Keep in your vehicle as a full bag
+Christine Lowery (BEACHCRICKET) Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, Christine! This bag here is an excellent pack and significantly less expensive than other very similar packs. While the others run anywhere from $70 - $125, this one is a very affordable $50. I can also speak well of it's durability. I have hiked miles, 5 days per week for over a year, as well as used this on many overnighters and there is no damage at all. Great to hear from you! -Dave
SpartanJohns Hello, my friend! Great to hear from you! I am glad you liked the pack. I learned a lot about reviewing packs from the very effective way you do it! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and also, thanks for the kind words, Denis! Look forward to talking with you again soon! -Dave
That is so great to hear, my friend! I also have the OD Green version and love it! You are going to enjoy that durable, versatile pack for many years to come! -Dave
Nice pack. Lots of little pockets and dividers. Seems very heavy duty. Zippers and canvas material is pretty stiff, so it needs some use to get it limbered up. Hope the zippers hold up. I will update my review in a year or so after I've kicked this thing around a bit.
Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment, Mike! They definitely soften up a bit after some good use! I have not had a single problem with the zippers after years of daily use! I look forward to your long term review! -Dave
Great review I ordered one yesterday. I like the clamshell and all the mesh pockets, something my present pack doesn't have. I can't wait till it comes. I'm looking forward to swapping everything and getting organized .
Thats great to hear, Chuck! The features are great and it is very durable! You are going to love it! I wear it hiking almost every single day, as well as overnighters and there are no ill effects after 2 years of use! Let me know how you like it, my friend! -Dave
Thank you for the kind words and the greetings, my friend! It is an amazing pack! I use it almost every single day for hiking in the woods and I love it. Customer service for LAPG states that this pack is made in Vietnam. Nice to hear from you! -Dave
Had to revisit this video. I bought an atlas 24 and love it. Looking for another pack for family hikes to compliment the Atlas. I think it will be the Operator pack. I like the Velcro on the straps much better than the stretch bands.
I think that this pack would be an excellent compliment to your 24 hour Atlas, especially for family hikes. I absolutely love the Operator pack! Thank you for taking the time to stop by, eric! -Dave
robert boose Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, my friend! I think you would enjoy this pack. I have been using mine for hiking & bushcraft, on a daily basis, for about 1 year now and it's very durable. Can't beat the price! If you pick one up, let me know how you like it! -Dave
HighCarbonSteel Love Hi Dave going to order when I get paid, I am on disability to money tight, but this a great buy, going to order 2 for me and wife... thank again Robert...
robert boose You and your wife are going to like them a lot. I know that LA Police Gear also sells on that is a bit smaller and it's less expensive. You will love the packs. I can fully stand by the quality and I love using mine! I hope to talk with you again soon, Robert! Let me know how you both like the packs when you get them! -Dave
This could easily be an EDC bag, BOB, or even a travel pack at 47 litres - it seems to compress down too so easily small enough for flight travel when not full. Given the Molle one could strap a bedroll and a tent to the outside and do the el camino or in my case the Kokoda. Only real issues are the siide pockets pathetically short for a canteen and no way i could immediately see to secure the pocket once open to accommodate a bottle. Hoping build quality matches price but doubt it is made in the USA for US$50 thats AU$100 with shipping given exchange rate at 1.40 shipping is $30+ so opens up other options sadly like Karrimor sabre 35 at AU$115 all in Sports Direct great build quality less pockets and organisation and capacity so I like this for that aspect. Good review!
Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment, my friend! Actually LAPG staff state that this pack is made in Vietnam, however, the quality it still outstanding. I hike and camp with it often and I love the quality & strength. The side pockets are small for some uses but overall, I think they are pretty decent sized side pockets. If you pick one up, keep me posted on how you like it! -Dave
I travel alot and use one bag either a 30L Fjallraven vintage pack or my USA made Tom Bihn Super Ego at 27L a messenger bag. These get cramped with laptop and EDC stuff. This LAPGOB will do all three for me be my travel buddy, EDC and BOB I am even going to sell off my TB Super Ego its immaculate after 3 years and frankly should fetch enough to pay for this. I only believe in having 1 of anything except fire, water, and lighting. Yep the pockets are ridiculous no discussion bag makers are clowns in this regard no reason they cannot have extending pockets with cinch closures for width to accomodate larger water bottles. As for vietnam I'm actually fine with that I had read someone said it was USA, frankly my aversion is to China quality much akin to Japan in 60's and 70's. I am ordering a shed load of stuff to my drop ship in CA since you just cannpt get anything here and if you do its like double the price in lots of cases. Cheers for the great compliment but actually you deserve that for the review and so does the bag. Quality does not have to cost a fortune. Personally there needs to be a rethink about how bags are made.
Great question - I had Rhino Skin lining in the back of my pickup truck at the time and foolishly threw my pack back there and drove to the woods. That caused the rubbing and friction on the back, causing the rip. Completely my fault. Thank you for watching! -Dave
snaponjohn100 Hi John, nice to hear from you! I got the ferro rod from my friend Nathan on ebay. I do a more detailed vid on it here - ua-cam.com/video/bpKWMANR1hk/v-deo.html - which also includes links. Great ferro rod! Thank you, very much for watching and commenting, my friend! -Dave
This is an outstanding, durable, affordable pack that you would love, Jon! I know that LA Police Gear offers international shipping and you can find out more here - lapg.com. Thank you for watching and keep me posted, my friend! -Dave
Nice review; a big honking bag to handle a large load-out when needed. Thanks. Btw, if you wanted to drop a couple pounds, you could leave that monster ferro rod at home. Holy Cow!
Thank you for the kind words, William! I appreciate you stopping by, my friend! Haha..I usually do leave my bigger ferro rods at home when I go out and bring ones that are lighter and more sleek but the super monster ferro rod is outstanding! -Dave
Mason Schmid Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave such a kind comment, my friend! I subbed your channel! Great question! I get a lot of my ferro rods from a youtuber named Nathan4071. He happens to be doing a great ferro rod giveaway on his channel right now! Check him out. He also has an ebay store where he sells the ferro rods for very affordable prices - www.ebay.com/usr/nathan4071 - if you get a chance to swing by there, tell him I sent you over! Hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave
Ha! That sure does look like my bag down to the stanley bottle pot. Are we related? Lol. Well, my pack is black cuz that was the only color they had at Academy Sports where I got mine. Also mine is a little smaller. I really like that pack
John Tewelow Is yours an LAPG, as well? I know they have a small one called the "3 day pack" or something like that. As always, thanks for watching, my friend! -Dave
This review and others show both the waist belt and plastic insert being removable, but LAPG just told me they're not. Not sure why they wouldn't know that about their own product... but anyways does anyone else know what it weighs empty without the plastic sheet and belt, or have any other weigh shaving tips for this pack in specific?
That is very interesting, Jake. I am not sure why they would say it isn't removable. I am not sure how much it weighs empty without the belt or internal frame. I've had people tell me that they cut weight on their packs by cutting off the sternum straps and all the compression straps and buckles. Thank you for watching! -Dave
Sweet bag it looks a lot like the one i carry every day only i little bigger YA I LITTLE BIGGER AND YA EVERY DAY my straps are connected the same way and they work good. what is in the sharping kit
Here you go, my friend - www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrocerium-rod-monster-ferro-rod-flint-rod-firesteel-flintsteel-1-2-diam-x-5-/142019192222?hash=item211100e59e:g:-3AAAOxyNo9SteVt. You are going to love the monster ferro rod and the backpack! Thank you for watching! -Dave
I love those Stanley water bottles, however, I think they have discontinued them. That is unfortunate but I have a couple of them so I am okay. I also still see them in Walmart every once in awhile. Thank you for watching and Happy New Year! -Dave
Excellent overview of the pack. What is the comfort level when carrying it long distances? I am interested in potentially adding it to my camping/survival gear. Keep making great videos. Scott
Thank you for the kind, encouraging words, Scott! I have used this pack for daily hikes and overnighters in the forest for years and it's been very comfortable over short and long distances! I also enjoy carrying a lot of weight and this pack is outstanding! -Dave
+Huey Freeman No, my friend, I am not sure, as I do not own either one of those containers. I have heard that the pockets will accommodate a nalgene, though. I believe people ask this under "questions" on the LAPG website. Thank you for watching and sorry I couldn't be of more help. -Dave
This one is only about $50 and is excellent! I use it every single day, hiking with my dog in the woods and it is very durable! I think it would depend on whether you like a tactical style pack or more of a traditional backpackers pack. Let me know what you go with, my friend! -Dave
Looks like a great pack Dave. I like the strap velcro tie-offs, very handy feature. The way it opens right up, plus the inner straps are also a great feature. My Kelty 55 L is starting to come apart, and I am looking into getting a new pack pretty soon. What size is that pack? Thanks for sharing, very helpful. ATB Nick.
Nick Harland Hi Nick, nice to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your Kelty..those aren't cheap. For longer trips I have a nice large Teton internal frame but for day hikes and overnighters, this is great. I am sorry, I dont have the size off the top of my head but there are detailed specs in the link! Thanks, again, my friend! -Dave
Thank you very much! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and watch! Nice to hear from you and thanks for the kind words! Hope to talk with you again soon, my friend! -Dave
HighCarbonSteel Love Hello Dave,First of all thank you for your subscription to my chain(channel), I also subscribed on your chain(channel) and it is with pleasure that I look at your videos.Comments always please and helps us to do better! See you soon my friend....Didier Nomade
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your kind words! I have never carried a bow or rifle on this pack but I cannot see it being a problem. I carry several different type of axes on this pack and also, it has a lot of Molle to work with! Great question! -Dave
omega survival I really love backpacks, myself. This one is really good. Still going strong after almost one year of pretty hard, constant use. Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
Here you go, Edward! Awesome ferro rods and the absolute best prices...my ferro rods of choice! -Dave www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrocerium-rod-monster-ferro-rod-flint-rod-firesteel-flintsteel-1-2-diam-x-5-/132102624049?hash=item1ec1ee1331:g:-3AAAOxyNo9SteVt
Sorry I didn't mention it, Keith, but that was just abuse on my part. Tremendous pack that still holds up great to this day and I hike with this thing on a daily basis. I cannot say enough about it! Thank you for watching! -Dave
+William Confer Thank you for watching, Bill! I think it would depend on how much gear you are packing. I have used mine for 3 days before. I just lash my sleeping bag onto the molle straps on the bottom and attach several pouches to the molle all around the pack. I show how I usually pack here - ua-cam.com/video/TwTxAoqDz5I/v-deo.html. It's a very roomy, heavy duty, affordable pack! I hope this helps and I appreciate the kind words, my friend! -Dave

Man that "bag of holding" reminds me of rolling a D20 in the 70s, lol

I just ordered this pack over their 24 hour one. The design had the features I wanted .
I was stuck between this bag and another and after watching your video I bought this one. I'm so glad that I did because I love it, so thank you!
I am very happy to hear that you love the pack, Parker! I am glad I could be of assistance and keep me posted on how you are liking it, my friend! -Dave

joshuah moran Its very convenient and makes it easy to get to the "big" stuff! Thanks for watching, sir! -Dave
I know this is an older video, but I am looking at one of these packs. This is exactly the kind of review/dig through I was looking for. Thanks, and you just got a new sub.
With a DOLOS V2 kit, I can, keep my AR Pistol inside the bag with the folding sig brace. Excellent review! Convinced me to go with this bag over the rush 72.
This type of pack was originally marketed as the Camel Back BFM over 12 years ago and retailed for 189.00. Great buy for 50.00 bucks.
Great info and yes, definitely an outstanding buy for right around $50! Thank you for watching! -Dave

Excellent!
Looks like a great pack, nice review!
Its an excellent pack, my friend! Very durable! Thanks for the kind words! -Dave
I noticed there is a rip on the back of the can you tell me about that
Great question - I had Rhino Skin lining in the back of my pickup truck at the time and foolishly threw my pack back there and drove to the woods. That caused the rubbing and friction on the back, causing the rip. Completely my fault. Thank you for watching! -Dave
Thanks for the detailed review!
+BogoFunToys Thank you for taking the time to watch the review, my friend! I really appreciate that! -Dave
very cool review

Nice review; a big honking bag to handle a large load-out when needed. Thanks. Btw, if you wanted to drop a couple pounds, you could leave that monster ferro rod at home. Holy Cow!
Thank you for the kind words, William! I appreciate you stopping by, my friend! Haha..I usually do leave my bigger ferro rods at home when I go out and bring ones that are lighter and more sleek but the super monster ferro rod is outstanding! -Dave
in compare to maxpedition vulture 2 , which one is better in terms of material and quality ?, ty before
I love lots of pockets in my packs.
Me too! Sometimes I do forget which pocket I put which item, though..haha! Thank you for watching! -Dave
HighCarbonSteel Love Thank you for making the video, really liked it. One question, where did you get the massive fire steel?
Mason Schmid Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave such a kind comment, my friend! I subbed your channel! Great question! I get a lot of my ferro rods from a youtuber named Nathan4071. He happens to be doing a great ferro rod giveaway on his channel right now! Check him out. He also has an ebay store where he sells the ferro rods for very affordable prices - www.ebay.com/usr/nathan4071 - if you get a chance to swing by there, tell him I sent you over! Hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave

Elisa Duran Thank you, Elisa! Very nice to hear from you! -Dave
-Dave
Could I fit a size 10 running shoe in the big front pocket?
Very concise video thanks.
Thank you, Lee! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and leave your nice comment! -Dave
Can you do an update on the bag
Another great question, my friend! Here you go - ua-cam.com/video/AboxkofQTww/v-deo.html. -Dave
With all the grab handles will the straps tuck behind in that back compartment, so they are out of the way
Many of the straps have a velcro fastener so you can roll them up to keep them out of the way! Thank you for watching, Bart! -Dave
great review, thanks.
Thank you, very much, for taking the time to watch and comment! I really appreciate it and subbed your channel! I like your pic! Thanks, again! -Dave
I have the VooDoo pack like this and like it pretty good.
I have heard thats a great pack, as well! Thanks for watching, my friend! -Dave
Nice unit, thanks for the review
***** Thanks for the view & comment! Nice to hear from you, my friend! -Dave
Very similar to the Condor 3 days assault pack
Nice vid! I like looking nature, discover and loosen up...
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate you stopping by! -Dave
Would it withstand weight for rucking.... 40 pound 'sand pill' perhaps?
I think it may withstand that, however, there may be backpacks for suitable for that? Thank you for watching! -Dave
Great video
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your kind words, sir! I really appreciate that! -Dave
Great pack
Carlos Sepulveda Thanks, Carlos! It's turned out to be an excellent, dependable pack! Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
So at 2920 cubic inches would this be considered a 30L pack?
Looks pretty nice. Might be trading for one soon.
+EDC Adventures It's a great pack and much more affordable than other very similar packs. Thanks for watching! -Dave
Nice, Now I'm gona have to do 1 on mine :)
joshuah moran Thanks, my friend! I would love to see your review! -Dave
This review and others show both the waist belt and plastic insert being removable,
but LAPG just told me they're not. Not sure why they wouldn't know that about their own product... but
anyways does anyone else know what it weighs empty without the plastic sheet and belt, or have any other weigh shaving tips for this pack in specific?
That is very interesting, Jake. I am not sure why they would say it isn't removable. I am not sure how much it weighs empty without the belt or internal frame. I've had people tell me that they cut weight on their packs by cutting off the sternum straps and all the compression straps and buckles. Thank you for watching! -Dave
Sweet bag it looks a lot like the one i carry every day only i little bigger YA I LITTLE BIGGER AND YA EVERY DAY my straps are connected the same way and they work good. what is in the sharping kit
renemanjr123 Thanks for watching! Here is my sharpening kit vid, my friend - ua-cam.com/video/RNVaageobic/v-deo.html
Can you provide a link to where I can purchase that monster ferro rod? Great review on that bag. I am seriously considering it. Thanks!
-Dave
that's one of my favorite drinking bottles.
I love those Stanley water bottles, however, I think they have discontinued them. That is unfortunate but I have a couple of them so I am okay. I also still see them in Walmart every once in awhile. Thank you for watching and Happy New Year! -Dave
HighCarbonSteel Love happy new year
Step One survival Happy 2017 to you, too! Please don't be a stranger! -Dave
HighCarbonSteel Love come over and visit me if you get bored.
Haha..I never get bored but will gladly swing by, my friend! -Dave
Condor 3 days ??))
-Dave
How would you compare this pack to the Condor 3 Day Assault Pack?
Very kool bag I like it
It's an excellent bag, my friend! Thank you for watching! -Dave
Kool big up 🇯🇲 and the 🇺🇸
are u sure those side pockets would fit a nalgene? what about a 40oz klean kanteen.. they look a little tight for them
+Huey Freeman No, my friend, I am not sure, as I do not own either one of those containers. I have heard that the pockets will accommodate a nalgene, though. I believe people ask this under "questions" on the LAPG website. Thank you for watching and sorry I couldn't be of more help. -Dave
well damn man I am torn between this and the Teton sport 4000...
This one is only about $50 and is excellent! I use it every single day, hiking with my dog in the woods and it is very durable! I think it would depend on whether you like a tactical style pack or more of a traditional backpackers pack. Let me know what you go with, my friend! -Dave
nice video. keep it up
Gerrell Banks Thank you very much for watching and the kind words, my friend! I gladly subbed your channel! I hope to talk with you again soon!
-Dave
Hello my friend !

Hi Dave, nice review.
Are there any provisions to strap a bow or rifle to it?
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your kind words! I have never carried a bow or rifle on this pack but I cannot see it being a problem. I carry several different type of axes on this pack and also, it has a lot of Molle to work with! Great question! -Dave
Awesome pack I have a pack addiction you could say! Lol
omega survival I really love backpacks, myself. This one is really good. Still going strong after almost one year of pretty hard, constant use. Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave

You did not mention it, but it was apparent that the top corner of the padding on back was torn. Was it defect or abuse?
Sorry I didn't mention it, Keith, but that was just abuse on my part. Tremendous pack that still holds up great to this day and I hike with this thing on a daily basis. I cannot say enough about it! Thank you for watching! -Dave
Looking for a 3 day backpack for camping! Would you say it's a 2 day or 3 day pack? You did excellent job on video. Thank you very much. Bill
-Dave
Have one Just don't know how many leaders it is
I don't remember how many liters, however, you can contact LAPG directly at lapg.com for additional information. Thank you for watching! -Dave
Is that the tan colorway? I'm on the website right now and their tan looks a lot darker than that color.
You are exactly right, adam...this is the tan. Thank you for taking the time to watch and great question! -Dave
So Yakeda ripped this?
