I remember Martin Freeman winning for John Watson. Andrew Scott winning for Moriarty but Benedict got 3 nominations and never a win for Sherlock. He performed so many incredible Sherlock scenes with passion but hey, at least his dream role - Patrick Melrose made him win. That's a win-win.
since Patrick Melrose was such a passion project for him it probably means even for it to be his first win.

That made me feel so bad, it reminded me of Sherlock doing the wedding speech. He should know that he's always the "bride" for so many people, I mean... in my opinion he's the best actor

He is an incredibly gifted actor. He is fantastic in every program that I have ever seen him in. Wow, it is difficult to believe how long it took for such a talented actor to receive a much deserved award.

dr strange saw 14,000,605 futures. There were multiple futures where the avengers won, but only 1 where they won *and* where Ben won the bafta.

OH, my thoughts exactly. And saw her husband in the audience, near Benedict. I so enjoyed her in Penny Dreadful, she held the room with her presence. As an American, I wasn't that familiar with her other work, but I shall seek it out. She seemed to be getting more recognition, so deserved. Of course you Brits know already though. So sorry, she was far too young.

Benedict Cumberbatch is such an underrated actor, so to see him win the Leading Actor BAFTA for a role that was a dream come true for him is an accomplishment that I am so proud of him for. I can't wait to see what is in the future for this man--nothing but excellence, truly because of his kind disposition, relentless passion for acting, and abundance of care. Such a brilliant man. Well done, Benedict. You deserve it.

Normally in these types of videos you have so many comments about how the other nominees deserved the win more. But not for this video. That makes me so happy because after being nominated 8 times and never winning (3 times for Sherlock alone!) he really deserved this. He was utterly spellbinding in Patrick Melrose and he's one of the greatest actors alive (arguably the greatest actor of his generation).
