Even pros make mistakes, order of operation always gets me lol. Burnishing that top edge, it's so much more a pain in the ass when it's sewn in.

It looks like you used a diagonal stitch punch. Is this by choice over a straight stitch punch?

What is the tool used for the rivets ??

I think a standard snap hand tool will work there. It will splay the rivet as well.

They are tubular rivets, and that is a tubular rivet peening tool. Found at your local Tandy or Weaver.
