MY CELTIC PARK DREAM! 🏟️🍀🏴 Celtic Park is my favourite stadium in the world. HOWEVER I am not blinkered and therefore I can see it needs some SERIOUS modernisation and upgrading! There are FOUR key areas I feel need focusing on the most. THE CELTIC END 🧨🔊 If you look around almost ANY stadium of a semi-big team in Europe whether it be Ajax, Frankfurt, AC Milan, Porto, Galatasaray to Midtjylland, Ferencvárosi, Slavia Prague or Dinamo Zagreb, they all have one thing in common… a MASSIVE standing section behind one of their goal ends! These sections are what make a stadium special. They’re colourful, animated, boisterous and passionate. It gives a home to the ultras who create an incredible atmosphere which not only spurs the team on the pitch, but also creates a brilliant experience for the rest of the fans and players in the stadium and MAJORLY helps to boost the profile of the club around world football! Celtic’s Green Brigade are hugely well known around the world and create a brilliant atmosphere as already is even without a massive goal-mouth standing section. Could you imagine what the atmosphere would be like if ‘The Celtic End’ was to become a reality? There was a poll done on X (formerly Twitter) which currently has 6,062 votes on whether or not the ‘The Celtic End’ should be a thing. 88% (5335) of votes are in favour of the Celtic End happening. This overwhelming majority shows the support and need for it to become a reality. ‘The Celtic End’ would TRANSFORM Celtic Park to an entirely unknown level… STADIUM CAPACITY 🏟️ Celtic Park currently has an official capacity of 60,411. Whilst this may not exactly be a small venue, there is no denying that the demand for tickets FAR exceeds the supply. The last known waiting list count was sitting at around 20,000 however for the last two seasons the waiting list has been cancelled as the season ticket renewal rate has been sitting at 98-99% for the last few years so there is virtually no point in a waiting list anymore. Not only are season tickets like gold dust, but you can pretty much forget about a European night if you aren’t lucky enough to be a season ticket holder! As a brief example of this the general sale tickets for Club Brugge in the Champions League sold out in UNDER A MINUTE! Now you’ll get the odd weirdo who says Celtic Park shouldn’t be upgraded in a capacity sense. They’ll slever absolute nonsense about there being a few empty seats at games like Ross County or Dundee (Ironically Ross County at Celtic Park soon which is sold out…). I have two responses to those dribbling sp**tics. ONE - The game is sold out, it doesn’t matter if the seats are empty, the seats are still PAID FOR. If there is 53,000 at the game there is still a revenue of 60,000! TWO - There isn’t a club in the WORLD where there won’t be a few empty seats at some points throughout the season for some of the smallest games! Does that mean no club should ever upgrade their capacity ever again? If Celtic modernised and upgraded the main stand to match the rest of the stadium you could be looking at an extra 15-20,000 seats which would be a MASSIVE boost in revenue every season automatically! Celtic Park NEEDS an upgraded capacity! CHANGING ROOMS 👔 I’ll try to keep this brief. Celtic’s changing rooms are an embarrassment. Although they’ve only been recently “renovated” it’s completely been done on the cheap. The changing rooms at Celtic Park are small, INCREDIBLY tacky and complete embarrassment for a club that is striving to be an “elite” football club. You know what they say… a picture paints a thousand words. Do me a favour, go onto Google and search ‘Ajax changing rooms’ and then search ‘Celtic changing rooms’ afterwards. That will do more to prove my point than I could possibly type here. EXTERIOR 🚧 Walking around outside Celtic Park you can really see how much work needs done. It’s underwhelming to say the least. It’s starting to look very old and decrepit, there’s very little modern architecture to admire and it could do with a serious injection of cash to spruce it up. It’s that simple. A football club’s stadium is its crown jewel. It’s the home of the club, it’s where the fans experience memories remember for a lifetime and it should be one of the main priorities of any board to be constantly looking to progress it and move with the times. Celtic keep bragging about the record bank balance of the club but for me there is zero point when there is so much work needed down to the stadium.

NO the women’s game looses the club money every year so it’s not good business sense but to be politically correct they try push it it’s a drain on wur finances disband the woman’s game make them be self funded and if they start to make money then fair play but wur loosing millions a year on this women’s Celtic team
Millions a year what planet are you on grumps lol I support anyone that wears that top GOYGIG
Hear Hear. Have loved watching the women trophies the past seasons.
@@johnhanna2411 same mate, I watch all of their games that are televised as well. The ghirls have been great ! 👍HH🍀
WHY are you stockpiling cash? Get that money on the park.
I agree with you somewhat.
They say they are doing it to help if we have a season where we dont win the league and dont get champions league football - we see how bad the finanaces are across the city
But at the same time i also kind of agree they should spend the money and make sure we dont find ourselves in a position where we dont win the league
50/50 decision
@rmcl328, dont think you understand the business model.
THEY FUCKING SPELLED IT OUT; EUROPA LEAGUE = DECIMATES THAT £70mlion
It is on the park
Also should they ever to decide on building a new stand as other folks have suggested. The amount of money involved in those things can get scary pretty quickly
