Loved absolutely everything about this video your reading videos give me life! The final gambet is absolutely incredible!! Really need to finish the good girls guide to murder series!
You should do reading over 48 hours in your every day life, but set a timer every time you actually read to see how many hours you do actually read in 48 hours. Kind of like the opposite of this video x
I love your channel so much! I got six of crows and crooked kingdom from chapters a while ago and I am wondering if I should start them, what do you think I should do?
Absolutely loved this vlog girl - these challenges are seriously so much fun to do and always get me out of a slump!! I personally love the timer method (that's what I'm planning to do when I film my reading vlog). Also I have some more booktuber recs for you - Alexa Raye, Carmen Gilfraguada, Shantelle Marie, Karie Reads + Katy Grace - they have some great bookish content too 😍
best reading vlog you’ve done rachel!! i’m currently reading the final gambit and am loving it too! i’m so sad for the series to be over for me soon 🤧🥺
Aw, thank you much for recommending my channel ❤️ This vlog was so cozy!! I loved Six of Crows when I read it a few years ago and really need to finish the duet!
I think Leigh Bardugo said something like if there was going to be a third book, then she'd have to kill off one of the crows. It's non-negotiable apparently.
I loved watching you read my favorite books in THE WORLD❤❤ (Six of Crows) also I think that Leigh Bardugo is thinking about making a third book but it hasn't been officially been announced and she said it would be many years before she actually started making it😢 I'm so happy that you love them as much as I did!!! I love your videos and you're my comfort booktuber!!
I listen to rainstorm / crackling fire soundscapes when I read! Theres heaps on youtube which go for 3+ hours 😍🙌 Highly recommend to drown out wandering minds
I loved this video and this books !!! Also, you have to read King of scars and rule of wolves. They take place in the grishaverse as well and are about Nikolai and Nina has a big role in it too. So, if you miss six of crows maybe try king of scars. I feel like you might like it
I love all the BookTubers you mentioned! Some of my additional faves are AllisonPaiges, the Book Leo, Elliot Brooks, Merphy Napier, How to Train Your Gavin, and Gabby Reads.
Do you think its a good ideia to read six of crows without first reading shadow and bone? I saw the tv series though so I have a general sense of how the world is built
I did that and absolutely loooooved Six of Crows! 😍 I think it's the best way to approach SOC if you don't enjoy middle-grade fantasy books (which apparently the Shadow and Bone series is). As long as you saw the TV show and have an understanding of what grisha is and you know anything about the world, you should be good to go!
If i set a 24 hour timer like this... My timer wouldn't be finished for 2 months. 😂 I am currently 3/4 through reading 'Swear On This Life' and ohmygosh, i am loving it! .. My perfect type of book 👌- This year i have realised that my fav storylines are about people with crappy childhoods/teenager years/start of adulthood and then seeing where they end up as adults. 🤷♀ eg. Heart Bones, Malibu Rising, Reminders Of Him.💖
I would be like that too, sometimes i get so busy doing other things that I just forget that i like reading, and then other times I can get through whole books at once.
I’m obsessed with these videos and oh I just ordered the throne of glass series bc u were always talking about them and I’m so excited for them to come 😁
i received the rest of the shatter me series, and ACOTAR today for my 21st birthday (happy birthday to me!), which i’m so excited to start/finish. i’ve also got the final gambit and the silent paitent to finish! definetly going to have to pull a 24 hour readathon to catch up on all of them 😵💫🎊
I'm obsessed with your videos but your book videos have me in a chokehold!! I read six of crows and unpopular opinion i gave it a 3⭐️ rating even though I was obsessed with the characters it felt as though they didn't get much struggle for the place being one of the most guarded place in the area. I'm currently reading crooked kingdom and it's been 2 weeks since I've started it's a bit slow and I just got to part 5 today hope it changes my mind. But I just love your honestly when it comes to books
I was not a huge fan of shadow and bone either. I think that is what has pushed me off so much from picking up six of crows. But this is pushing me to start it!
You should read the Violet Eden chapters by Jessica Shirvington. It is a YA fantasy series and the found family is amazing. It’s by an Aussie author and it is my comfort series. In my opinion it is an easy world to understand as well. I get so attached to the characters every time I read it and never want it to finish. Just a recommendation 😊
I would LOVE to see you read the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. It's a very long series, but I would say read the 1st 2 or 3 and see what you think. They are roll on the floor laugh out loud to you cry hilarious! And no one talks about them and that is so sad!
Hi Rachel!! I have read the first Shadow and Bone book, got half way into Siege and Storm and just not vibing, do you think its ok to start Six of Crows without finishing the Shadow and Bone trilogy? I am just so interested in the story of Six of Crows but can't really be bothered finishing the previous series
there are brief spoilers for the shadow and bone series in Six of crows, but if you don't mind that then it should be fine. especially since you already have an understanding of the world and grisha
i really want to read six of crows one day, but everyone says that the shadow and bone trilogy isn’t as good. would you say it would be fine to just read the six of crows duology by itself???
yes, you can! I did! I didn't know the trilogy existed, but then after went back and read them and the only thing is a couple characters are briefly mentioned in six of crows, and you don't have the background of the magic system... but that's it. leigh bardugo does a great job of explaining everything so it's not confusing. totally separate
Can anyone recommend me some romance books where the love insterests have the same dynamics as Kaz and Inej? 😩 You know, "right person, wrong time" kind of vibes, or where they are "so close, but so far" and "almost say it, but can't speak"? Basically, just tragic love story that could be happy in difference circumstances 😂 (Yes, I want to suffer. Don't judge me pls lol)
Hi Rachel! Idk if you like watching series but Money Heist (La Casa De Papel, the Spanish one) is a really good movie with found-families as well. This is very off topic but I thought might recommend it if you haven’t watched it.
Hey Rachel! Do you think I could read the Six of Crows duology without reading the Shadow and Bone trilogy? I've heard from other BookTubers that they preferred Six of Crows over Shadow and Bone.
I read them both without reading the trilogy and it was a great experience (I didn't even know there was a trilogy). I eventually went back and read the first three and didn't really like them, and then reread SOC. so yes! lol
Hi Rachel, could you please read this fantasy romance series called Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer. It is my favourite book of all time, and I'd absolutely love to see what you think!
I would like to see how much you read during the week, ive seen this on a few tiktoks but you could maybe do a more in depth version of how much you read and why. Say if you only read 50 pages it was because you wasnt feeling the book.
I watch a lot of UA-cam channels but right now the booktube ones that I’m obsessed with and watch more frequently are: your channel (of course 😌), * e m m i e *, CarolynMarieReads, Katherine Karas, Noelle Gallagher, throneofpages, Pam Gonçalves, Sara Carrolli, Hailey Orton e Alexa Raye. From your list, I only know 5 booktubers so thank you for your recommendations. 😘
Best vids ever I’d watch once a month for SURE
me too
hi haley you’re my favorite UA-camr

omg six of crows and crooked kingdom are some of my favourite books! i love love love crooked kingdom so much
That’s so cool! I got both of them from the bookstore a while ago and I’m debating starting them.
As good as dead is a five star read for me! The good girls guide to murder trilogy had such a grip on me as I was reading it was crazy!
Six of Crows is my ride or die! So happy that you like it too!
I love your channel so much! I got six of crows and crooked kingdom from chapters a while ago and I am wondering if I should start them, what do you think I should do?
We need more reading vlogs now it's Autumn almost here in the states!! I'm inspired to read!!

best reading vlog you’ve done rachel!! i’m currently reading the final gambit and am loving it too! i’m so sad for the series to be over for me soon 🤧🥺
I loved watching your reaction to the final gambit! I need to read this series ASAP
I felt the same way about the Shadow and Bone Trilogy. I didn´t pick up Six of Crows yet.
Aw, thank you much for recommending my channel ❤️ This vlog was so cozy!! I loved Six of Crows when I read it a few years ago and really need to finish the duet!
I absolutely adore the Bible verses at the beginning of every video! God bless you ❤
Well I just read that they’re gonna have a third book in The Six of Crows series!
I think Leigh Bardugo said something like if there was going to be a third book, then she'd have to kill off one of the crows. It's non-negotiable apparently.

If you love found family you should read The Naturals series🥰 it’s by the same author as the inheritance games!😁
I love all the BookTubers you mentioned! Some of my additional faves are AllisonPaiges, the Book Leo, Elliot Brooks, Merphy Napier, How to Train Your Gavin, and Gabby Reads.
Also, Becca and the Books!
This is making me want to pick up six of crows🤭 it's been on my shelf for weeks but I literally have so many tbr books rn it's bad lolol

I’m obsessed with these videos and oh I just ordered the throne of glass series bc u were always talking about them and I’m so excited for them to come 😁
rachel, if you read the king of scars duology then that sets things up for a third crows book!
I love brown noise! But lofi music works good for me too 🤔
This was soooo good! And all 5 stars!! 100% keen for monthly readathons 😊
i received the rest of the shatter me series, and ACOTAR today for my 21st birthday (happy birthday to me!), which i’m so excited to start/finish. i’ve also got the final gambit and the silent paitent to finish! definetly going to have to pull a 24 hour readathon to catch up on all of them 😵💫🎊
Happy Birthday!! 🥳🥳
SoC is my favourite book. And i read it without reading Shadow and bone before. I dont think you have to read SaB before reading SoC. 💕
Love these videos! They are so satisfying
King of Scars and Rule of Wolves have Nina in them so if you haven’t read those yet you should!
Such a fun video and such dedication, thank you for this!
I haven’t read the Shadow and Bone series but I read the Six of Crows duology but I didn’t enjoy them.
I loved the Inheritance Games series
I'm obsessed with your videos but your book videos have me in a chokehold!!

I love the final gambit but the first 2 books were my favorites same with a good girls guide to murder I liked the first 2 better
There is going to be third six of crows book 😏😏😏😏😏 Leigh bardugo did confirm but seems like it could be a little while before it comes out 🥺
Where is your jumper from? I love it!!!
You should read the Violet Eden chapters by Jessica Shirvington. It is a YA fantasy series and the found family is amazing. It’s by an Aussie author and it is my comfort series. Leigh Bardugo said her long term plans are to write a third six of crows book!!!
What version Headphones are these? ❤
what do you listen to when u read?
Omg that quote made my day
Brown noise over white noise any day!!!
You NEED to read the Naturals series and the debutantes series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. They are sooooo much better than the inheritance games!!
Great video Rachel!

Loved the video. If you like bullet journals and books I would totally recommend
mochibujo and Plant based Bride on youtube.
I think that color of hair really suits you
Where was your flower mug from again?
Is it worth reading shadow and bone before six of crows?
Personalllyyyyy I wouldn’t! I forced myself to read shadow and bone first and it put me in a book slump by the time I finished the series 🫠
I'm doing the same with a friend today 😇
Hi Rachel, could you please read this fantasy romance series called Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer. It is my favourite book of all time, and I'd absolutely love to see what you think!
