Command T is also tap tempo in Logic X. Great video!
i love how specific you get with these tutorials, some other people skip all over the mastering and shit and it feels like "draw a circle, now draw the rest of the fucking owl".
I've been binge watching all your videos help i don't even produce what am i doing w my life
lulutrbl go produce for fun
lolz dead
But when you start you'll know how to do it 😂
This is HANDS down the best Logic tutorial I've ever seen. You are so informative without moving too slowly. Have a subscribe dude.
There's a quicker way to find the BPM of the sample and it's more accurate than the tap:
1. Click on the effects section in the channel
2. press on metering
3. press on BPM counter
4. play the sample
and it automatically tells you what bpm you're on
in my experience it never was wrong.
How you change to the bpm you want to work?

dude, there are no words for how well done this is. you've made the burgeoning yet ungainly youtube-logic-pro-tutorial genre into a modern art form.
BRAVO!
Probably the most helpful video on the topic yet. Not showing off their own projects but showing how to make one
my god bro.. this is... pure gold. especially the information you give at the first part. people like you doesn't exist in korea. size of the market is so small that no one would give information for free. i think, lecture like this worth 5~60 bucks. seriously
This is by far the most useful and chillin' logic tutorial i ever seen. Very practical and humorous.
This was the best tutorial video ever. I've been dying to make lofi stuff like this and now I feel like I have the tools I need. Thanks so much dude, subbed!
Hearing that is so cool. I'm glad I was able to actually help you bro, good luck man!
Thanks bro! Quick question: At 11:26 you mute the track for the sidechain - are you supposed to unmute that at the end?
just keep the side chain muted, the sidechain is only used to key the compressor on the main sample
One more question dude - when you create the stereo out and add the isotype vinyl #1 bypass, what is that automation doing? Does that bypass using the plugin for the intro on?
@@blok31092 oh darn you got aired :(
Been thru too many bad tutorials only to find this gem. Seriously great video. I just recently picked up Logic Pro X and a trashy midi keyboard so I can make lo-fi and this video is a serious jump start for me.
Not sure why you don't have more subs. This is the kind of quality you'd expect from someone with 50k+. You got my sub!
This is the best video I have seen for any 'how to make a beat for logic pro' on UA-cam, very informative. Subbed and liked, thanks, dude.
2 things. I watch a lot of production videos, and I don't comment on videos. However, this is probably the most well rounded production video I think I've ever watched. Very informative.
Dude. You kill. I haven't even been following you for long at all and you've helped me open my mind to learning techniques and really getting deeper into Logic. Thanks! (Jake One's sounds are DOPE - On my wishlist for sure)
great video man, very in depth and educational.
Finally! A great lofi tutorial for Logic! There are barely any of these around for this program. And dang I realized your workflow is so much better than mine.
Damn dude the best of all the ones I've seen so far.
this is mad quality content!!! damnnnnn
This is the best lofi tutorial in logic on youtube. Subscribed!
MAD QUALITY CONTENT HERE. DAMN ! LOVE YOUR CHANNEL MAN.
Loving the use of an "o" to circle stuff near the end there
Legit this is one of the best tutorials for lofi beats I’ve seen on UA-cam. So much detail!
These are the only tutorial videos I've found that are both very informative and helpful and equally entertaining. Good work man keep it up!
FINALLY a complete real tutorial on logic, great video man
This is by far the best tutorial I’ve ever watched
the way you produce these videos is amazing. You dont like we dumb but you also dont go too fast. perfect pace. A1
Important advice: I LOVE using an overdrive to the drums. Makes it super beefy. Especially the kick.
I'm not even finished with the video yet and i'm literally crying laughing after The Room reference. Probably one of the best movies ever created, super smooth and one of the most explained plots in the history of filmmaking. All jokes of course but somehow ive seen it multiple times. Great vid so far man!
Good looking out for all those sources!! Really appreciate it
Appreciate the research fam. Helpful info all around, not just for lo-fi, helps a lot of people.
this might just be one of the best tutorial videos ive ever watched, thanks man
Now this is a good tutorial, really well thought out and detailed and not full of someone trying to be funny when it’s just stupid. Keep it up :)
Mop Music check out my music?
This is amazing! I cannot tell you how helpful this has been. I've been trying to do this for literally years!! This is a great template to learn and develop. Thank you so so so much!
You killed this! Thanks a lot man, deff a lot of great info that's not usually shared.
By far the dopest Lofi tut. ✊
Thank u for uploading his video!!! I found it extremely helpful and funny. I've been listening to the lofi channel on UA-cam you showed at the beginning, love it.
If you are wondering where you have heard this before, it was also sampled in Attila by mono:Massive and was featured in the 2017 Chillhop mix
I think I may have already commented on this but thank you, again man. All of your videos are dope. I watched this a month ago and it changed my sound for the better, I watched it again today, fixed some of my errors and it's sounding good. Thank you!
Mark Bloomfield what errors?
I love the pace of this video, no wasting time! Great work thank you
holy shit this video probably took a bunch of effort to make, mad props. Thanks for all the help
Thanks I really like that you break Logic down so many site are lacking detail. Keep up the Great tutorials.
Thanks Austin! I'm not using Logic, but your explanations are so clear I can apply your methods with ease.
God damn, you're a legend for video content like this.
One of the best tutorials I have seen. I really enjoyed it, I will definitely use some of these tips.
Cyphermental Hip Hop check out my music?
You're doing the lords work. Thanks
Loved this video, very funny but also informative! Keep up the good work :)
Ive seen a lot of tutorials, but you managed to make the most confusing concepts seem mundane, thats dope bro ima try and learn how to mix on using your channel
Can't believe it took me so long to find this you've cleared up my beat block with one video 🙏
Oh hi doggy,
I don't comment that much on youtube but now I just had to. The thing you did at the beginning, chopping the samples that way, was exactly what I needed to know. Especially the part where you export all the chops you just made at once to import them later in to the sampler. I have my SP connected so that's how I made samples but I couldn't directly bounce them back because of volume problems when recording and I don't have an audio unit which can both receive and send. So I first had to convert the samples to wave files on the CF card and then take it out of the SP and into a cardreader into the computer. Which is pretty frustrating. BUT the advantage is that you immediately can mess around with the chops to see if they work together. The thing where you adjusted the tempo of the whole track was also very nice information. About after that I lost you pretty quick. Partly due to the fact that I'm just starting to use logic pro but also because you're going really fast! But maybe those to things are connected. Anyway, I subscribed to your channel and going to see if there's any information about sidechaining on your channel.
Thanks!
I like this genre of music. It reminds me of the music in vlogging videos of Casey Nesiat and Night Scape
great tutorial man subbed also thanks for the wonderful club penguin link
Thanks for this tutorial man ! I finally decided to start making jazzy beats, and you post this video few days after i got started ;) It helped a lot a beginner like me to understand more how Logic's working ! Hope to see more tutorial like this !
I've had that same problem when I chop my samples and then adjust the tempo after the fact while both flex edit buttons were on, If the flex edit is on it try to stick to the same positions regardless of tempo change and stretches the audio to do some gnarly shit. If thats not what happened then it could also be the pitch being changed in the exs24 sampler which causes the same thing. To stop it in that case all you have to do is click the edit button on the exs24 and select all the samples and make sure the pitch parameter is unchecked and you should hopefully be good.
Thanks for the answer man, i changed my comment because i found out how to correct it: remove the flex marker from the top button and not the track button ! But thanks for the answer about the EXS24 pitch modifier advice, i will try it to change the pitch of the samples i made !
glad you got it all figured out, no problem man!
Yooo first time watching any of of your vids man and holy shit you fucking know the deal.....just the important shit and straight to the point.....I don't know why I haven't seen any of your tutorials before but I subscribed a minute in.......good shit man and keep it up..

Nice tutorial man. Beat was on point 👌
2:37 seconds in and you've impressed the fuck outta me, made me laugh, and showed me so much. Thank you for the video.
this is great - super helpful and also funny (kind of like watching a 'casually explained' video about logic)
This is a wicked tutorial, I like the way you present it as well!
you're really funny with your editing and make great music!

u make some of the best videos
Thank you for amount of work and content you put into this tutorial.
bro, I love dis tutorial. still so useful. nuff respect. thanks a lot.
Amazing man, you just opened a door to another world for me. Thanks!
You're my favorite UA-camr of all time.
hey this is a really good speed for a tutorial. I think you cut all of the bs out can got right down to the point. I like the pace alot. this would be awesome for a tut series and them maybe have a bit of a longer video braking down what your doing, like explaining what each option dose. that would be nice for people like me that know nothing about manipulating sound. good work and thank you, Kepp it up! Now ima stfu and go make a lofi beat!
Made me smile.
this is fantastic. subbed.
Where is this kid? this guy is good.. Come back dude.. This was the poop!! great job..
