Some of these I dont remember and most that are still living look very good and they dont look plastic,❤❤
Boy does this bring back fond memories. Fun family shows. I miss those days.
Diana Millay played in a lot of the early sitcoms. She once played Bud's English tutor in an episode. Always thought she was beautiful. Still is.
This is the best series, so we'll done.
Many aged well. A time when families could sit together and watch without being embarrassed.
Almost all of the younger actors are still with us, in their 70's - 90's. 👏
This was one of my favorite shows on TV I still watch the reruns
I use to watch this and never realize that they were born many years before I was,
Billy was always so funny.
He went on to form that
aging child stars support group.
That was Paul Petersen of the Donna Reed Show. It is called A Minor Consideration.
@@su-rv2uq
Yes. They would reach out to troubled former child stars. Kudos to Billy.
he was the kid in the day the earth stood still.
Everyone still looks the same pretty much…..
No difference too much ✌🏾that’s real good
Robert Young was a major movie star, with 90 films to his credit, from 1928 to 1954. It’s sad most remember him for “Father Knows Best” and “Marcus Welby”.
Father knows best is still in reruns how many of those movies are?
He also played an old man who killed his wife. Euthanasia maybe? I don't remember the title.
@@hydrolito - His movies are still being seen. Movies don’t go into reruns, they weren’t TV shows.
@@virginiaconnor8350 - “They Won’t Believe Me”, 1947, with Susan Hayward, Rita Johnson. He plays a cad. Excellent film.
Then, as an older actor he made a TV movie “Murder or Mercy”, 1987 where he kills his ailing wife suffering from Alzheimer’s.
He could do comedy, romance and serious drama. Great actor.
I uses to watch that show when i was a little kid
Many many of us did.
I can still watch this show during weekday mornings on Antenna TV since they air two episodes because Lauren Chapin was one of my favorite child actresses in the series because she’s so cute even as she gotten older while playin the role as Kathy .
I remember him better in "Marcus Welby, MD" and Jane as Spock's mother on "TOS". Elinor also played in "TOS" too.
Robert Young who played the Father on Father Knows Best died in 1998, I doubt he looks like that today.
Robert Young looks pretty fit for 114 years old.
lol he doesn't fit the roll he's to old. I feel sorry for the women in 50s sitcoms they paired them with old men like they did Ethel with Fred on I love lucy.
Doesn't look a day over 113.
enjoyed watching. Thank you.> 😃😃😃😃
Thank you for watching!
Dabbs Greer was also the man hanging by a rope off a dirigible in the first Superman TV episode. He was caught in midair after falling from the dirigible. His last appearance (the photo used in this video at the right) was in The Green Mile (he played the aged Tom Hanks). What a film & role to end a career on.
Robert Easton ("The Man of a Thousand Voices") was also Hollywood's & Broadway's foremost dialogue accent teacher -- he taught hundreds of notable actors how to pronounce words & use their voices in a foreign accent. For instance, he told Robert Duvall who wanted to speak in a Virginian accent, which accent he wanted. Virginia has 12 distinct accents.
I truly love these videos. Keeps from wondering, where are they now!!!!😁😁😁
Glad you like them!
Age has been kind to Billy Gray.
He took his first money made and bought a house in Topanga Canyon as a teenager. Still lives there now.
Several commenters have mentioned that Robert Young looked too old for the part of Jim Anderson. As a kid, I thought the same thing about Hugh Beaumont in Leave it to Beaver. Young, born in 1907, would naturally have been starting a family by the mid to late ‘30s. In the storyline, this is about the same time that Bud and Betty’s characters would have been born.
If your parents or grandparents were grownups in the ‘50s, look at their snapshots from that period. It’s striking how most of them looked 10 to 20 years older than their actual age. Not so surprising really, since many of them battled hardships today’s young people can only imagine (Great Depression, World War II). Also, most everyone at the time smoked, drank, and spoke, dressed and carried themselves more maturely than in today’s society. It was common for people to groom themselves and dress neatly just to run a simple errand. My grandfather (born 1895), wouldn’t consider even a quick trip to the supermarket without a suit, tie, and neatly blocked fedora! Lordy, how I miss those days ….
I have to agree with you. I have seen pictures of my grandfather when he was my age and I think he looks 20 years older than me - of course, I may be delusional :-)
I remember Robert Reed as Mike Brady
Who doesn't? Don't forget him in The Defenders as well.
Wow. They sure did age well..💗👍
Roberta Shore was in the western The Virginian, she played Judge Garth's daughter, I think.
I’ve watched the entire video just now & they’ve shown everyone except the man who played Fronk The
Landscaper because that family loved him including Kathy .
Haha... How could I have left out Fronk! 😀 Yes, I remember him in at least one episode. I have seen every episode of Father Knows Best, one of my all time favorites1
@@thennow-howtheychanged8449 "Frank" was in at least four episodes. One when he first met the family and the more they told him to stop doing things he kept doing more. Second when he tried to get a job with the city. Third when he lied that he was in a musical band and left Jim without entertainment at a business dinner. Fourth when he used Jim's picture to get a date with a woman.
Mmmm strange. Many of the people shown I don't remember. Frank was definitely one I do remember. Wonder why he was left out.
I don’t know why they left Fronk out of the archives like that because I’ve watched the entire series back on Antenna TV since I have digital cable and all plus I’ve sought out the series info where I’ve located the cast of the show & they didn’t include Fronk or many of the others featured in the series .
Essa música instrumental de fundo é show!
LOOK! It's Doctor Marcus Welby. LOL
When Robert Young became Marcus Welby, his office/home was the Leave it to Beaver house.
Tony Nelson and Jeannie on I dream of Jeannie and Larry and Louise Tate on Bewitched lived in the same house.
Then and NOW (2021) pics of Robert Young as clickbait? Sorry, but I’m certain Mr. Young doesn’t look like this - he has been dead as a door nail since 1998.
Robert Easton, tall, blonde, and with a bit of a drawl, used to really ramp up that drawl when appearing on the George Burns and Gracie Allen show as one of Ronnie's friends. There, he played a perpetual student who was not too bright, but Gracie explained all that to his oil-rich Texan dad so he could stay in school for another year.
Everyone of them either have are is living to be ripe old ages

I actually got a history lesson watching this show back in the 50's. I learned who Simon Legree was(he was a slave owner from the book Uncle Tom's Cabin who beat and raped his slaves) I remember Bud mentioning him in an episode, not sure what it was in relation to but I think Bud wanted to earn some money and he had to do some work, he thought whoever was paying him was acting like "Simon Legree" making him work too hard for his money
Funny the things that stick in your memory, if I had heard a teacher say that in a History lesson it would have gone in one ear and straight out the other....but Bud I listen to? Go figure!
I kind of like what you're presenting here, but your choice of music is driving me crazy. I have to turn the sound on UA-cam off so I can watch it.
Sorry about that. I have lowered the background music and added a voice over to my most recent video. You are not the first to comment about the music. I will search for something else. 😀
You will also.
The one who played the Father on Father knows Best looked like a old man when he did the show. He looked more like he should be playing the grandfather. Don't get me wrong he was a very kind person and a good actor. I'm just being real.
I think I would have to agree with you...
Bill Cosby was the same age when he did the Cosby Show. You still feel the same way?
@@cdgates1 the one who played on father knows best looked like a grandfather. I know a lot of people who agree with me.
@@cdgates1 and I'm not Black.
Someone didn't do their research! Diana Millay died in January of 2021. Four months before this video was posted!
She still had upper and lower teeth at 96 probably avoided junk food.
What about Bud's friend Kippy?
.......in 2021 is fine......BUT Robert Young has been dead nearly a quarter century......
Didn’t he die in 1998?
If Young died in 1998 then your piece should be titled "Then and Then"....
How about... "Sooner or Later"?
@@thennow-howtheychanged8449, Unfortunately "or" doesn't come into play, It's just "Later"....
Younger and Older?
@@thennow-howtheychanged8449 It's funny when you see one of these sites where it says "What happened to these Celebrities?" then they show a photo of them when they were in their twenties compared to one in their sixties. What happened? Old age......
@@harrylazard805 I created this channel because I was curious about what happened to the television and movie stars that I grew up watching. This includes how they changed in appearance as well as what they did in their later years. I get what you say, and I do find it funny also. I just want everybody to understand that I created this channel to share my own interests, that is all.
Whatever happened to Robert Chapman who played Ralph?
Ralph Little?
@@thennow-howtheychanged8449 yes
Robert young was an Alcoholic and suffered depression
Shhh....
@@thennow-howtheychanged8449
Why shhh it’s how it was
I was JK, thanks for your comment!
Robert Young's changed dramatically since then. For a start he died in 1998, so I guess he's pretty crispy.
I guess this is an attempt at humor.
robert young has passed away?
Hiheylikeit
Robert Young was a heavy drinker, alcohol ages you!
My daddy looked so much like Robert Young…my Dad went home to be with the Lord at the young age of 49….I think he would have aged just like Mr. Young.
My comment has the goal to share an up building message full of hope.
Jehovah God promises that those who have died will live again in Isaiah 26:19:
"Your dead will live. My corpses will rise. Wake up and shout for joy, residents of the dust! For your dew is like the morning dew, and the earth will let those who are powerless in death live again."
He will bring them back to life; that is the hope of the resurrection.
Have a super great peaceful day!
I remember him!
Jehovah, the Almighty Creator, not only will resurrect the dead, according to Isaiah 25:8, death will be eliminated from earth:
"He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken it."
And Revelation 21:4:
"And He (Jehovah) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
@@luzalgarin9518 Christian evangelism= boring, self-righteous, moral narcissism; you can't annoy people into heaven, and such arrogant imperialism wrapped in prayer is still bigotry.

Mr. BeachsideHank, it is bring back the dead to earth and not to heaven. But that is not all. According to Isaiah 25:8, death will be eliminated from earth:

@@BeachsideHank
Mr. Beachside Hank,
Your observation are not only valid, they go straight to the point. That is the reason we need to gain accurate knowledge.
The apostle Paul stated to Timothy: “This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”-1 Timothy 2:3, 4.
Areccurate knowledge of the truth as taught in the Bible is a key to salvation. However, that knowledge must reach the heart, the seat of motivation. It cannot remain as an intellectual or academic exercise. Once it has been gained, knowledge of the truth has to be used and replenished. Because the memory, like an unused muscle, may become weak and deficient, in which case we may easily neglect our spirituality and begin to drift and waver in our faith. We may loosen our grip on “the very knowledge of God.” Soon, this wavering may be reflected in lax thinking ability and even unchristian conduct.-Proverbs 2:5; Hebrews 2:1.
Robert young is dead, he i am sure looks nothing like the pic, lol!
Please explain the intended humor here.
