Why do we not see shows such as this on terrestrial TV any more? There must be a reason so what is it? The 70s & 80s were great for TV series like this.
The reason is us. As long as the public watches crap like the Bachelorette, the bachelor, stupid cooking shows and whatever crap the Kardashians cook up this is what your going to see.
Cesar Romero & Anne Archer? They both played significant characters on the show. Matter of fact, Mr. Romero was on the show for about 3 seasons. I think Ms. Archer was on there for about 2 seasons, not sure.

It was my favorite soap, even preferred it to dallas . The first season was perfection. Seasons 2 and 3 were also excellent, but after the plane crash finale of season 3 it started to go downhill for me. I think i stopped midway in season 4 but when it started its run in french in quebec, i rewatched those from the beginning to get back into it and continued on while also returning to the cbs broadcasts on friday nights with chase's death. The final season was awful. What they did to maggie in the first episode was bs. The rest of the season was trash. Nearly all the original characters were gone but i stayed with it because id seen every episode so far...still it was trash.
I disagree. Season 1-4 were great. But then it got better Season 5. 6 7 were the best ever. The music was to die for. Love the Richard and Maggie romance. I agree the final season went downhill a bit. But I still think it was the best TV series ever.
Imo for the most part they all aged well. But Ana Alicia, Jamie Rose, Mariska Hargitay, and Laura Johnson still look incredible. If someone were to tell me Jamie Rose was in her 30s I would believe it. WOW
Loved Falcon Crest..it was called the poor relation to Dynasty and Dallas but it had some great actors in it..and don't you think Ronnie Reagan had a type..wife number 1 Jane Wyman looked so much like wife mumber 2..the eponymous Nancy Reagan..
