- While in attendance of Nitro Madness at the Motorplex in Ennis,TX, I had the pleasure of filming and viewing the Outlaw Fuel Altereds Association Nitro and Methanol burning Altereds battling for top qualifier. I love these wild cars. They are a blast to watch. I hope this raw video captures the pure violence these cars are. Ok, I’ve been around fuel altereds since my dad started driving em back in the 60’s. At 1:08 out comes the Plan A car. Is that Johnny West’s car? Johnny West was an innovator, tuner and driver. His brother Jimmy West drove the Wild West fuel altered. Both cars came out of Arizona. A couple of great guys to have at the races.
