Girls Band Cry deserves all the love, their CGI is very well executed, the girls act like real people, Nina is a real teenager with teenager issues, and the music is F A N T A S T I C. If you want more music, search for the band Togenashi Togeari. The seiiyus of the characters are the actual musicians of the band who plays their respective instruments live.
fr I really liked how Nina was portrayed in episode 2, her social anxiety and how she tried to endure everything herself were so relatable for me (except the anger issue part)
only issue is that the translation seems to be so e random guy quickly running an ai translation without ANY checking on the end results but if you can get past that its actual gold
@gbnam8 I don't think it was anger issues, maybe I'm projecting, but I think she was having a nervous breakdown and just lashed out at that guy. I say this because I also experienced having one of those outside, and I was shy and generally not confrontational and when someone told me to shut up I also just started attacking him and I felt so not in control. It's part of why the next scene hits so hard, because after losing control that badly, she can't even change a light bulb, she feels like she's not in control of absolutely anything in her life.

Recently got into blue archive when the anime announcement reminded me of it. I completely forgot why I didn't check it out before, but then the first episode of the anime reminded me. The animal girls all have 4 ears and it's weird.
A lot of anime tend to do that. What's weirder is that there are animal girls at all in BA when, so far, it doesn't really make much sense for them to exist outside of just making them hotter.

As isekai consumer, the show you put in 2:46 is not an isekai show. It a reincarnarion show, someone from that kingdom died and reincarnate as 7th prince of that kingdom. It is power fantasy show than isekai insert character ahow.
Semantics say it's not, but it is. Technically, yes you're correct, but the general flow of how it goes, the plots it follows, how the characters act, etc. are all carbon-copy isekai fodder, even if MC didn't technically go "to another world". I have the best time watching Blue Archive with the boys in Ani-One Asia mainly because of my fellow Sensei's in the Premiere Chat. We are most excited for Vol 1 Ch 2 Episode 17.😋
Those of us who had been watching anime before anime streaming came to other countries/continents besides US and Japan (aka mid 2010s or before) rarely ever watch anime 'legally' to begin with.
More gacha and other games should be adapted into anime series. I stand by this statement. It gives excitement to audiences and fans who have longed for their favorite pastimes to air online on the big screen. I'll say this, because I'm one of those said fans and a gamer myself. I love how the episodes are perfectly illustrating the plot so far as in-game and that it conveys expressions and emotions of every frame I look at. Truly looking forward to a future of games who may want to display and debut their awesome works to another form of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Enough yapping from me but I love this vid @Toto. I was really intrigued to watching and have learned some new things today!
It is a great one - highly recommend ! well... since Crunchyroll gets worse and worse with all it's restrictions , irregular releases, ignoring to relöease translations in certain countries, etc... illegal is all we can do here in germany. I'd happily pay for a good streaming service that actually benefits the creators and not just a crap "not - service"
While that anime about cute girls playing Mahjong not making it here makes sense since there's not much to it. These 2 shows not making it here yet is puzzling.
Girls band cry is actually a real channel (here on youtube) and they post a lot of things (i dont speak Japanese lol). Some of the songs are posted there FOR FREE FOR YOU TO WATCH.
Just a note, it is LEGAL to watch anime's on websites that broadcast them illegally, the thing is it's ILLEGAL to download them to your computer or stream them from your computer from said sources. If the website streams the files to your computer and doesn't save them, and you just watch the stream, then it's 100% legal.
I'm too dumb to find a way to watch it illegaly, and I am so so sad that I can't watch Girls Band Cry. My favorite Anime is Houseki No Kuni, I love good 3D Anime so much, I would sell my organs to watch it, please give it to me, I'm crying
nyaa is the sound a cat makes, and then if you add a dot . to it followed by si (the spanish yes) you might be able to find a good way to torrent(ial downpour) that cool show Girls Band Cry (they're always crying, after all) and you can open up a torrent(ial downpour) with something like yo(U) torrent(ial downpour) and then this cool app called VLC Media Player that's free to download to watch stuff you own. you can also install an adblocker and google "girls band cry watch online free" and you'll probably find a site like kiss anime, animixplay, or something similar. Remember, google can solve most of your problems, you just gotta use it.
Oh lol Blue Archive ist legally watchable on Prime (aniverse Channel) i did Not expect to have an Anime in German localization that does Not occure in Like the us
Lets face it, like with streaming in general pirating became unpopular because the legal way became just more convenient while being affordable with good service. This trend is now in the process of reverting itself with licensing across a flood of different services who all want a piece of the cake. And then there is the localization bs that is pushing even the richest of fans to hoist the colors again.
It's sound weird about Blue Archive case. Because, it's BD info says it includes English subtitle too. Even this BD seems made for eastern countries(JP/KR/CN), they decide to include Eng subs. It seem not common because this is information about JP style high pricing(9800yen per package), divided into 4 package release one, which not usually contains just JP subs. So I guess they want to air it to western side too but didn't found any company wants to do it or plan to release BD on western side someday.
Blue Archive animation is just buttery smooth. It doesn't have the most epic fight scenes but overall, this is the kind of animation you would want to see in a slice of life anime.

As a musician and artist, I adore this show and lament its currently exclusive state (barring it airing in France with French dubs. Damn the French…) Mothers Basement didn’t dedicate too much to it in his seasonal review, so this is some nice wish fulfillment for me.
I’m also kind of a Blue Archive player too so yeah 😭
It sounds like this video was practically made for you lol
@@To-To like Hoshino was made for me 💢
@@glyfleball hey let’s not get crazy now. He’s too old for that kind of roughhousing.
@@To-To Hoshi was overdue for a hip replacement anyways
I'm French Canadian, so I understand the language, but I can't watch the legal subs since I'm not in France (IP adress), so I agree with you. Damn the French...
Hopefully this becomes a standard for anime that uses 3D.
The 3D looks really good!

COMBO BREAKER!!
I suppose you just need get used to it. As far as I know only Blue Archive that openly show 4 ears animal girl.
But on the flip side, you got a lot of animal ears movement.
@@To-Towhy are there anthropomorphic animals next to human girls , why don't girls die or at least get hurt with bulket , what's the point of using guns if the victim can get up 5 seconds later like if nothing happened , why are only young girls that are not anthropomorphic , why is the teacher the only non anthropomorphic male in the time. There are so many questions going I have.
@@madmouse4400 nice thing is non of us still know questions but the girls dont die because of their halos which just serve as basically just a body armor and they shoot each other because that just how they are
Finally someone recognize Girls Band Cry!! You're GOAT!
Blue Archive is so cute and funny. Doodle Sensei would be proud 😭😭🤣
I like how all BGM in this video is actually a BA BGM.
You're somehow only the second person to notice lol
@@To-To whats that? And whats the music?
@@Mahlak_Mriuani_Anatman the music is all from Blur Archive, the mobile game, in a video where I’m talking about the anime.

It was the most popular one this season and the footage I had on hand, so I just went with it. I was originally going to use Aristocrat of Tsukimichi but didn't have the footage on hand.
@@To-To There's The New Gate, LvL 2 Cheat, Re:Monster and Mushoku Tensei this season
And it's technically is not Isekai, not even how it flows, act etc resembles isekai, it resembles a reincarnation power fantasy story, which isekai has taken some part for their own use
@@t3dweipin193 Mushoku Tensei is an Isekai, yes. But it is not a generic one. I mean yes, most of these generic isekai tropes were inspired by Mushoku Tensei, but they have a reason to be in Mushoku Tensei.
@@cedricmichaud552 If you taken the time to click on that timestamp, he's saying the 7th prince is an isekai, which i refuted with Mushoku being one of the example i listed out as isekai that season
I'm talking about 7th prince, not mushoku

Makes me regret dropping French in middle school 4 years ago 😂
The band girl cry...I heard one of their songs before but had no idea they had an anime...when I saw some ppl talk about this anime I am like they look familiar
Yeah apparently they made a couple of official songs like a year or two ago.
I’m so addicted to their music and it makes me pretty sad that I can’t watch the actual anime legally 😭
@@funplayer05.1 they actually added it to their UA-cam channel to watch legally! I believe it’s just called Blue Archive

Tha fuck did you say to my girl! >:v
That she should put on a swimsuit. Her helicopter is much more moe.
@@To-To Ok I agreed with that one :v
Exactly!

"where i failed to get swimsuit ojii-san"
We're all in the same boat. i failed 100 pulls in an attempt to get the tokiwadai students -Misaki & Mikoto- from the Railgun × BA collab banner
Also "super hot twink" is also my first thought of his character reveal
Is it just me or is there a lot of similarities between GBC and Jellyfish Cant Swim in the Night?
Probably accidental, but it's funny that they're both original anime airing simultaneously about basically the same thing lol
Eyyy u used the whitenotes cover of the op. I approve
Really love the use of banger BA soundtracks during the whole video. Also,Hope you get Swimsuit Oji-san soon🙏,you got my full respect as a fellow Ojisan enjoyer 😭😭💕
5:07 I am very observant and seen enough to know when!
Well lo and behold, they just announced Blue Archive anime streaming with EN subs on the official EN Blue Archive channel so we at least can get it officially soon.
Just saw the stream. Very hype!
Not just these anime, there are many other old Anime that is unlicensed.
Labyrinth of Flames can be found if you know where to look, that OVA is classic 90s Anime fun.
I was bewildered that I couldn't just watch the blue archive anime tbh
Yeah it's quite strange that it still hasn't gotten picked up.
4:46 "it's ultimately still the plot to a Gacha Game so it doesn't have the best writing"
ARK- *cough cough* ARKNIGHTS
Holy crap. I almost never see cg characters looking this good :D
Came for the BA, stayed for the girls band cry!
That's what we love to see.
I didn't even know the BA anime was not licensed in the west and thought the high seas website were just taking speed-sub quality crap just to get it on their site faster lol. Like the subs were so inconsistent when it came to the helmet gang's name, one time it's "Kata Kata Helmet Gangster" (the "Kata Kata" wasn't even explicitly said out loud in one instance), or "Helmet Gang", or "Helmet Gangster" (which was used as plural for some reason).
Also because of that Ayane diss, I will now proceed to clown on you with the fact that I have an S.Hoshino.
So natural gatekeeping? Good. The less tourists the better.
From how you talked about Girls band cry, it seems the series is as subtle as a sledghammer with the emotions and what we are supposed to feel.
Really good video here and really sad this happened but then again also heard of attacks on Public Libraries and homelessness along with it being a crime among others and well it's a gamble I can say.
Blue Achieve is available on UA-cam, on Ani-One Asia YT channel, probably restricted to certain regions though; a sponsored should help. Which is why, this comment is sponsored by Nord- JK
If only lol
2:22 wow, that’s never been done before
??
I have the best time watching Blue Archive with the boys in Ani-One Asia mainly because of my fellow Sensei's in the Premiere Chat. We are most excited for Vol 1 Ch 2 Episode 17.😋
and then there’s Undead Unluck which is everywhere BUT Australia
Oof. That’s gotta be rough

I think foreigners don't know much about how anime is streaming free on youtube.
I think someone should enlighten them.
It's only in Asian regions that that Ani-One happens to license vs the seven seas where everything is free (tho it's not on UA-cam).

@@To-To thanks!
Those of us who had been watching anime before anime streaming came to other countries/continents besides US and Japan (aka mid 2010s or before) rarely ever watch anime 'legally' to begin with.
Time to get back onto the old galleon and sing sea shanties with the crew!

Only in SEA and South Asia though

More gacha and other games should be adapted into anime series. I stand by this statement. It gives excitement to audiences and fans who have longed for their favorite pastimes to air online on the big screen. I'll say this, because I'm one of those said fans and a gamer myself.
I love how the episodes are perfectly illustrating the plot so far as in-game and that it conveys expressions and emotions of every frame I look at. Truly looking forward to a future of games who may want to display and debut their awesome works to another form of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Enough yapping from me but I love this vid @Toto. I was really intrigued to watching and have learned some new things today!
nahhh
case and point Azur Lane and Girls' Frontline, both of them actually bad
Are there also Arknights the Animation? Been playing the game for a while now and it feels like a cool survival theme type.
Man I really love your videos and your take on some original series and iruma kun is goated
I got pretty sad when I couldn’t watch off of abema because even that was turned into a premium service
I need my wolf wife in animation damn it
The 3D CGI is amazingly good. It doesn't look creepy are weird like most that I've seen. It still looks 2D in many ways but obviously it's not.
Wait, someone pay for watching anime?
Gushing Over Magical Girls : We are a friend now!

May 24th on their YT channel, yeah.
Blue Archive can be legally watched on the Ani-One Asia channel if you live in Asia btw

That cotton-eyed joe bit got me good
Oh lol Blue Archive ist legally watchable on Prime (aniverse Channel) i did Not expect to have an Anime in German localization that does Not occure in Like the us
Whoa piracy has gotten so good, that it has exclusives too now. I wonder how much the monthly subscription is.
Europe has no problem with these anime being unavailable :))
ay I might just need that song at 1:03 sounds good 👀
It's sound weird about Blue Archive case.
If buying isn’t ownership anymore then piracy isn’t theft
Spotted this video from my ship using my spy glass.
Blue Archive animation is just buttery smooth. It doesn't have the most epic fight scenes but overall, this is the kind of animation you would want to see in a slice of life anime.
