I have another cheaper version if this mixer, i got it for under 20 bucks on amazon, your video helped me figure how to connect it to my xbox one, and now i have it working great. It's a bit of a different set up as eventually i used both the Headset and Headphones inputs instead of line out.

It’s worth mentioning that your Xbox controller microphone will not just be picking up your headset/XLR microphone, it’s listening to ALL sound on the SC3 So this means if you have discord open, or you’re playing music or listening to game audio through OBS, that will all come through your Xbox microphone, and it’s also the reason you need to have microphone monitoring enabled on the SC3 for this to work You’re better off using a headset with a microphone while using a splitter to listen to the SC3 and speak through your Xbox controller microphone
Hey there. May I have a couple of questions to you? Looks like you already have a similar setup. I'm planning to use this audio mixer on my series x, and I use a PC to stream. Currently I'm using an Xbox Wireless Headset on both, because this headset can function on 2 separate audio sources all at once, and it's wireless. I'm able to hear the game sound on Xbox, talk to people in games using the headset's mic, and I'm able to talk on Discord and my stream's chat using my other microphone that's plugged in to the PC. Works just fine. But I'd like to switch to a dynamic mic, and use it on both Xbox and PC, with this audio mixer. Question is, am I able to send only my voice, and sound effects to the Xbox? Or like you said, everything goes trough that's happening on the PC? For example, if I'm listening to music on PC or already on Discord, that goes trough as well? If it does, and cannot go around it, I might keep my current setup. Thank you
@@KalóznaplóTomi Yes, the the Xbox will be receiving all sounds that pass through the SC3, your pc is able to intake only microphone and soundboard audio while outputting audio to all other ports this is also the reason why the tutorial requires you to turn on mic monitoring on the SC3, because it’s not actually picking up your mic but rather listening to all sounds on the SC3
@@KalóznaplóTomi there could a few different solutions that vary in convenience, I assume you want to still be able to use a microphone for Xbox Party and Game chat The best option may be to use the dynamic mic + the SC3 on pc and continue using the headset microphone for Xbox, but I don’t know how to connect a wireless headset to the SC3 (or if it’s possible) so you’d likely have to still use the wireless headset connected to the pc, which would make you unable to listen to the SC3 directly I personally use a dynamic mic connected to the SC3 and a wired headset with a splitter to talk ingame and hear the SC3

I have 2 questions 1. Do I need the 3 prong cable that goes from the splitter to the line out for it to work? 2. Does the divine USB plug go into the Xbox?
The usb cable goes from the mixer to the Xbox (just for power). You do need an auxiliary going from the line out, to your microphone jack on the splitter. It DOES NOT need to be a 3 ring. I just tried it today, January 11, with the 2 ring and the only thing that doesn't work is mic monitoring. All sounds from the mic and mixer will still go through to your stream. So I'd say, the 3 ring is the best option, but not necessary if you don't care about mic monitoring. I hope this helps, and works for you if you try it.

you have an issue with either a cable a port or controller it's all about process of elimination at this point to see where the issue is stimulating from

Okay, so i bought everything beside the ground loop isolator because my controller is wireless. I hooked everything up the mic, the line out and splitter. It doesn't output my voice onto the xbox with mic monitoring on, literally same plug ins and all. When i plug my headset into the board i can hear myself but not on the xbox. Doesn't show me talkin

I stream from xbox to a pc with use of a elgato capture card and I didn't need the turtle beach adapter. I have an xbox controller, I use a elgato chat link cable and plug one end of the cable to the line out of the fifine mixer, the other end to the controller, then I have a 3.5mm trrs cable that I plug into the plug on the elgato chat link cable and the other end of the 3.5 trrs cable I plug into the line in on the fifine mixer, I use the fifine xlr mic for my mic and this is the only mic that I use.

I swear I have everything hooked up just like you and I can hear the gameplay but the setting for my mic monitoring goes back to ZERO once I reconnect with the HAC! (I have mic monitoring on the mixer and mic is on) I just can’t hear myself and I don’t think they can hear me during gameplay.
I linked darken Cyrus Chanel that goes over that part for setting up sounds and you can plug the board into anything to give it power that all your doing. And not sure what you mean elgato capture of it mic? If mic if it a xlr then yes
Got you so you run a capture card yea you will need to run it hoe I have it hooked up but it should work no problem, and run the board usb into the pc so you can use the mic for both Xbox and stream through the pc pro tip.
So, i dont have game audio. I guess its because i don't have the turtle beach part & splitter wire. I wonder if it will once i get it. Has well if it works once it does work. While streaming to twitch so chat can hear in game chat with who im playing with. Then other times discord through xbox.

@@PughsReview ohh my bad let me rephrase some of it, I'm talking about are you able to still use the pre added options even without the use of the laptop, like adding sounds via your phone, I was typing that on a whim and should have rephrased it a bit.
For the sound pad it self yea you should just hook your phone up to the board and while playing the audio through the board hold the pad down to record it then you should be able to just hit the pad and the sound play through.
So the usb power cord for the mixer gets plugged into the Xbox or your pc and I saw you had an XLR cable plugged in does that mean you were using your XLR mic on the Xbox? Thanks great video

Alright so I’ve got the same question as a few people and it’s about the necessity of the microphone. Yes there is an XLR microphone input and a 3.5mm TRRS microphone input for headsets, but if you want to talk into both the audio interface and the Xbox controller you may need a microphone splitter.
Ok now I can’t hear my own voice just the gameplay audio? I balance the truth beach adapter I’ve been changing the mic monitor in my settings but return back to we’re I still can’t hear my voice.
So I need the XLR cable for this to work? Because just with the USB-C cable giving it power doesn't make the mic work. (And yes, I had mic monitoring on)
@@PughsReview I don’t have an issue with recording or streaming. I’m using a full studio setup for audio and it’s crystal clear on everything except to the people I’m online with. It has to be something with the audio going into the controller. I’ll order the ground loop isolator and see if that works

can anyone please help. i got the mic and headphone splitter connected straight into my controller. the 4 pole aux has the 1/4 inch adapter and its connected into the left output of my focusrite 2i2 2nd gen interface. i turned everything up and have direct monitor on but nothing seems to work. ive seen it done as easily as that but it just doent work for me. the interface gets signal but it wont loop into my xbox, its series s if that makes a difference.

You only need that cable if you are have a wire charging the controller on some way. You will be fine with a wireless controller. You won’t get any ground buzz

So a viewer said wireless headset works for game chat, but after testing the other day, it does not, so you need a wired headset to hear game chat. Any headset will work.

I think you hook it all up like I did, but instead of going into the controller, you go into the wirless receiver. I don't have one to test, but I believe I've heard other say they were able to get it to work. GG on the super chat, btw.
When I do this my party chat on xbox can hear everything they say. Setup is am8 to XLR on SC3, headset plugged into "headphones" on sc3. Splitter from controller with headphone side to line in and mic side to line out.
Try plugging your headphones into the splitter on the controller, and leave the "line out" from the mixer to the mic side of splitter as you already have it.

Hi, I have a question, I bought the mic and all the things you listed. I plugged the mic in and it was working but I was not using ground loop insulator. When the ground loop isolator comes in do you think I’ll fix the buzzing and static noise that people hear when I’m talking?

Still having the same problem it’s not constantly happened but whenever I speak or the mic picks up any sound it has some static/buzzing
Found a solution for anyone that’s having the same problem as me , it consisted of doing the exact same thing he does in video but instead plug your 3.5 jack into line out instead of headphones getting crystal clear recordings now thank you for your video!

I had to remove the turtle beach all together to get it to work at all. Not sure why the turtle beach audio deal was not allowing me to hear anything.

Okay, so i bought everything beside the ground loop isolator because my controller is wireless. I hooked everything up the mic, the line out and splitter. It doesn't output my voice onto the xbox with mic monitoring on, literally same plug ins and all. When i plug my headset into the board i can hear myself but not on the xbox. Doesn't show me talkin

I stream from xbox to a pc with use of a elgato capture card and I didn't need the turtle beach adapter. I have an xbox controller, I use a elgato chat link cable and plug one end of the cable to the line out of the fifine mixer, the other end to the controller, then I have a 3.5mm trrs cable that I plug into the plug on the elgato chat link cable and the other end of the 3.5 trrs cable I plug into the line in on the fifine mixer, I use the fifine xlr mic for my mic and this is the only mic that I use.

I'm trying to figure out what to get I'm going to be running a elgato capture card I want a USB mic and I want all my chat to be heard on my stream and in party while using it.and how do u run a regular non mic headset with all this noone on here shows you and really broke down tutorial on there set ups

Do you need a headset or can you hook up a speaker to the mixer to hear noise ? Or change setting on Xbox to have noise go thru the TV (then run an optical to a speaker)?
Helllo! So I have everything hooked up exactly the same way but there is an echo on the other persons side when talking.

I would assume it would work but I don't have one so i can't test it to verify
I use the Microsoft Xbox official adapter to use a Fifine USB mic (no mixer yet) and it works just fine with that. 👍

If you plug the USB mic into the pc to use you should be able to use them both at once that way on you xbox and usb on pc

Also my jacks to connect everything are only 2 sleeves does that make it not work? I got it to hear game audio for a little and I can hear myself but my mic will not work in party or in game. I swear I have everything hooked up just like you and I can hear the gameplay but the setting for my mic monitoring goes back to ZERO once I reconnect with the HAC! (I have mic monitoring on the mixer and mic is on) I just can’t hear myself and I don’t think they can hear me during gameplay.

I linked darken Cyrus Chanel that goes over that part for setting up sounds and you can plug the board into anything to give it power that all your doing. And not sure what you mean elgato capture of it mic? If mic if it a xlr then yes

Got you so you run a capture card yea you will need to run it hoe I have it hooked up but it should work no problem, and run the board usb into the pc so you can use the mic for both Xbox and stream through the pc pro tip.

So, i dont have game audio. I guess its because i don't have the turtle beach part & splitter wire. I wonder if it will once i get it. Has well if it works once it does work. While streaming to twitch so chat can hear in game chat with who im playing with. Then other times discord through xbox.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. This video shows you how to use this without a laptop.
@@PughsReview ohh my bad let me rephrase some of it, I'm talking about are you able to still use the pre added options even without the use of the laptop, like adding sounds via your phone, I was typing that on a whim and should have rephrased it a bit.
For the sound pad it self yea you should just hook your phone up to the board and while playing the audio through the board hold the pad down to record it then you should be able to just hit the pad and the sound play through.

I do not plan to use a separate mic for this setup but I am considering buying this sound board and the adapters etc. the reason for this is because the headset I own comes with a built in mic and I dont want to spend more money

Alright so I’ve got the same question as a few people and it’s about the necessity of the microphone. I just want to know for sure if just using the mic on my headset to talk instead of having to get the other mic? I’ve seen people asking if it actually works and to be honest it’s kinda weird that everyone dodges the question and never replies. Sketchy and I don’t know if I want to risk paying for something that nobody can seem to answer one question about.
Yes there is an XLR microphone input and a 3.5mm TRRS microphone input for headsets, but if you want to talk into both the audio interface and the Xbox controller you may need a microphone splitter.

I don’t have an issue with recording or streaming. I’m using a full studio setup for audio and it’s crystal clear on everything except to the people I’m online with. It has to be something with the audio going into the controller.
I’ll order the ground loop isolator and see if that works

can anyone please help. i got the mic and headphone splitter connected straight into my controller. the 4 pole aux has the 1/4 inch adapter and its connected into the left output of my focusrite 2i2 2nd gen interface. i turned everything up and have direct monitor on but nothing seems to work. ive seen it done as easily as that but it just doent work for me. the interface gets signal but it wont loop into my xbox, its series s if that makes a difference.

You only need that cable if you are have a wire charging the controller on some way. You will be fine with a wireless controller. You won’t get any ground buzz

So a viewer said wireless headset works for game chat, but after testing the other day, it does not, so you need a wired headset to hear game chat. Any headset will work.

I think you hook it all up like I did, but instead of going into the controller, you go into the wirless receiver. I don't have one to test, but I believe I've heard other say they were able to get it to work. GG on the super chat, btw.

When I do this my party chat on xbox can hear everything they say. Setup is am8 to XLR on SC3, headset plugged into "headphones" on sc3. Splitter from controller with headphone side to line in and mic side to line out.
Try plugging your headphones into the splitter on the controller, and leave the "line out" from the mixer to the mic side of splitter as you already have it.

Hi, I have a question, I bought the mic and all the things you listed. I plugged the mic in and it was working but I was not using ground loop insulator. When the ground loop isolator comes in do you think I’ll fix the buzzing and static noise that people hear when I’m talking?

I have everything on your list exactly. I’m using wireless rig headset. Splitter is hooked into controller cable runs from Mic side of splitter into line out of mixer. I’m confused, no cord from Mike to mixer with this set up?

No, there is no usb mic port on the mixer. Only XLR and a normal headset auxiliary port. 👍
