Hello Tom! I grew up with all my British Bikes in the 1940s/1950s at the age of 16. Air-cooled, pushrod Singles and Parallel Twins. Long-stroke, torquey engines, with a sound all of their own! My present 1996 Honda CMX250C Rebel has the same design of 360-degree, air-cooled, single carburettor, wasted-spark ignition, parallel-twin engine, which sounds like a mix of the Brit Parallel Twins and Harley Vee-Twins..the best of both worlds...which is why I selected it! Take care all, and be SAFE!
Yep, the Hinckley Bonnies are nice. Not a patch on the Adventurer/Thunderbird/Legend 900 Classic Triples that preceded them, though. But I would say that. 😁
Hi buddy, really enjoyed your post. Always loved the Triumphs as my older cousin had them back in the 60's and 70's. He was kind enough to take me for rides on the back (I'm a very late 50's model). We used to watch him race them against the two stroke Kwaka 750's etc. They would blast past him on the straights and he'd take them on the corners, fairly tight circuit. I also remember when my local dealer had a black with red strip and a black with white stripe model in the show room window. Anyway late last year I picked up a black and red 2006 865 with just under 30,000 miles, TEC pipes bigger jets goes well. Happy Days living out my fantasy! I would love to know what year model/year 883 Sportster those bars came of. Your bars look way cooler. Cheers thanks for the video!
