      I'm In A&p mechanic school and i just finish my first year, the only advice I will give u is never give up no matter how hard it looks. you will learn everything you need.

    • @peterjanded
      @peterjanded  7 місяців тому +10

      Firstly , you will actually start learning when you start working and build experience. Reputation is big thing in the industry. Try to have a good one . Attendance is also a big think especially when you see new . And leastly safety also for both the plane , yourself ,and co workers s

      Go to a community college or something…don’t fall for the “aviation academy” nonsense…it’s the same license no matter where you go, but those places are VERY expensive. You need to PASS THE TESTS, that’s it. The airline I work at hires people that comprehend “righty tighty lefty loosie “

    Can you share a little about what your work schedule is like? I'm interested in pursuing my A&P license, but am a mother to a toddler and wondering what the work-life balance is like.

    • @peterjanded
      @peterjanded  4 місяці тому +1

      @@alexdunn5750 as for now , most companies offer his schedule called 4,5,5 so you basically work 4 days and get 5 days off , work 5 days get 4 days off and work 5 days get 5 days off . Usually a 12 hours shift and also night shift . This schedule is mostly common in Canada .

    So after you got done with the filter change. Could you show us how to do the paper work. I’m curious. I’m an A&P mechanic. Also please show how you follow the manual instructions. Just curious. If it’s allowed, I don’t want you to get in trouble. Thank you. keep up the great work.

      This is how would you do the documentation on the oil filter maintenance
      Remove oil filter for the number 1 engine as per AMM 79-xx-xx
      Ok to install oil filter for the number 1 engine IN THIS STEP GOT TO MAKE SURE ALL THE PARTS ARE EFFECTIVE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
      Installed number 1 engine oil filter as per AMM 79-xx-xx and you will also document any calibrated tooling on the manual and the company paperwork
      Then comes the operational test to make sure there is no leaks
      Perform operational test as per AMM 79-xx-xx no leaks noted
