In my opinion, if someone really needs segments they should pause it and come back to it the next day. That way they can have as big of segments as they want.
Long videos are great! They give us a good feel for what your shifts are actually like. Like the other guy said, we can pause and return to finish later, which is something I’ve had to do before. 👍
Personally Stig, I love these long form videos. If it is too much at once, we can always pause and come back! No big deal at all. We can never get too much Stig at one time.
Well Stig, for what it's worth on my part, the longer and more detailed and technical, the better. There are plenty of channels on UA-cam for just watching aircraft, but I think that pretty much all of us are here for the technical aspect of things because we not only find beauty in watching them but we also see just as much if not more beauty in how they work and function so if the result of that is long videos then I genuinely think the longer the better... For example, I started watching this at gone 3.30 am and I am absolutely glued to the screen still and I will honestly be watching it all again tomorrow too.
One of my American A&P buddies texted me info on an old A319 I was on, I had NO idea it was that old - looked absolutely immaculate. Nice smooth quiet ride… wonderful aircraft, I can’t even begin to imagine how many passengers it’s moved around the country.
Another fantastic video! I can tell you something about the Ferraris. The grey Ferrari racecar is a FXX-K Evo, it is based on the LaFerrari. The XX stand for the Ferrari XX Program wich is for research and development of all their race cars. The connector on the rear is for the Air Jack. When you connect air to it the car jacks it self up. And you're not wrong about the Dino, it is a Ferrari. Dino was a "low cost" brand from Ferrari between 57 and 76. It was named after Enzo Ferrari's son Alfredo (nicknamed Dino), who sadly died very young. The two covered Ferrari 499P's are really special, those are Le Mans Hypercars. 😍 It's insane how much value was standing here around. Alone the Ferraris are a couple of Million Dollars. But like you said "cargo never disappoints" 😀
Stig, I’m not in the aviation industry nor will I ever be. I’m into a whole different career which I love but I am and have always been an avgeek. I started watching your videos for the geekout factor but continue to watch them due to your consistent positive attitude. It’s infectious and it’s a bit of what we all need, regardless of what one does.
I echo this... my career is completely different and I come here to geek out on the airplanes and relax in the joy you show doing your job. 10 minutes, 90 minutes... I'll watch all of them! I have been popping these longer video up on my tv and it is a wonderful way to unwind after work :)
Thank you for presenting the true meaning of Memorial Day. It isn’t picnics, it isn’t sales, it isn’t shopping, it’s not anything but remembering our Vets who served & sacrificed for our Country & it certainly isn’t politics. Your videos are great & shouldn’t be cut into sections. Whatever is easier for you; after all you are doing us the favor of sharing & we certainly appreciate you & what you do. Bless you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You amaze me; your level of knowlege, your enthusiasm and your ability to communicate well. I enjoy watching these videos and I learn something each time. Yes, they can be a little long, but if that's the case, pause and continue to watch later. Thanks....and I mean that.
Stig, thank you for honoring our Veterans. I proudly served in the Army for 23 years. It's nice to hear people still appreciate the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve and of course those who made the ultimate sacrifice. @@StigAviation I always do!!! This one was beautiful with the homage to all our veterans who have paid the price for us to be free. Seeing the Medal of Honor livery was beautiful! Thanks Stig!
5:11 thank you for saying this stig. I get so many people that immediately Irk when I tell them the Cessna I fly was built in 1970. I wish more people would realize that these aircraft are under strict regulations that allows them to still fly even after 50 years. People should understand that most of the small planes and even small private jets they see are most likely from before 2000 yet they still fly because of the FAAs regulation on Maintenance and Manufacturing. Its also why everything in Aviation is so expensive.
My C141 B was built in 1961. I met it in 1979. Very little broke down on it. Commercial aircraft would rush maintenance and go get the money. USAF took our time and fixed it right. I hope more people like you work on the planes.
I work on the production side of the house for a major aviation defense company and i think you're doing it absolutely right! It may be a long video, but you are explaining everything and not just generically brushing over stuff. It's almost like an A&P course without the certification. Keep up the tremendously great work! I think these videos single-handedly are getting people, especially the youth, excited about the aviation maintenance field. As always, JOB WELL DONE, SIR!
Please, please keep presenting it in this long format! I can ALWAYS press pause and come back later…but if I’m free having to arbitrarily wait for another “part” is disappointing and frustrating! You’re doing so many things right with this channel and I’m UNBELIEVABLY happy to be a part of it…thank you for bringing us all this!
The longer the better !! I work as a ground handler and I'm literally watching this on my day off. I learn so much about the aircraft I see every day from you !
Hey Stig, I just finished the Gulfstream G600 MX Initial course. No more flight control cables! Actually, (other than emergency gear extension ), no cables at all! Woohoo! Thank you for another great vid! 👍🏼😁
I am not in the aviation field I was a field copier technician and a car guy. If it is mechanical and technical I will watch and learn just to get a better understanding of everything I find interesting. We can always pause and come back to it. 1 1/2 hours is great ! I love the long video's Stig! I also cringed when I saw that nose tire raising off the ground in turn. Thats what I like to call suicide insects, they made their mark on that aircraft. I did not give that hose permission to fall off, get er back on Stig lol. Yeah, that sensor is wacked, no way breaks are 700C, they be on fire if it were LMAO! The silver one is a Ferrari FXX K Evo, purpose built track car. Only 40 ever produced. 1036hp and yours for only $2.6m.... You didn't mess up Stig. That's a Dino (246 GT, I think). Those two under the covers are 499P Le Mans Hypercars, and the one next to the Dino is a 296 GTB.
You're more than welcome, my friend. I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but another fun fact about those FFX's. You buy it, but Ferrari keeps it and then delivers it to whatever track you want along with mechanics and support staff and then when you're done, Ferrari take it back to the factory and service it etc ready for next time you want to drive it. How the other half live right... 🤣
Just to add to Kev‘s comment… Over the weekend of the 15th through the 20th, Laguna Seca up near Monterey, California had Ferrari racing days, which is where these cars are shipped to so that the owners can drive them on a race track. I’m guessing they’re getting flown home to the factory to get maintained and ready for their next on track adventure, somewhere else in the world
On the FXX the "What is that" "probe" at the tail is where you attach an air line for the onboard air jacks The Dino is a Ferrari. Enzo named it after his son, after Dino passed away at a young age. The engine was designed by Dino, as well. It's the only Ferrari without Ferrari badging.
Thank you Stig for videos and all the technical info! Keep doing it! Greetings from Frankfurt, Germany 🤙 P.s. Big thanks for filming the LH A340 at the end. My favorite bird
Thanks for the video. Concerning the A321eow, I found this: Extended Over Water. It's different from ETOPS as EOW means the aircraft meets the FAA requirements to fly up to 400 miles off shore.
The longer the better! One of my favs is the car-go cargo. Love those beautiful 911's. Can't beat Porsches. Also loved when you spent a couple minutes with that golden retriever, although I'm a cat person myself😻!
I like 1 hour & change videos. When they're too short I'm just getting into my technical mode and it's over. The way you're doing it is just right jumping from bird to bird.
Hey Stig, I really enjoy these videos, the longer the better. I get so hooked and look forward to each days adventure. I wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks for taking us along your journey!!!!!!!

That would not be part of the airframe age that would be more of the engine age. And they can change out engines anytime they want to improve efficiency.

There are so many videos about pilots, so many videos about their perspective of the job. Same with gate agents and other airport positions. There are not a lot of videos this detailed and this up-close in regards to aircraft maintenance. Your videos are absolutely superb, thank you for THIS perspective! Also! That Silver Ferrari is an incredibly rare race car, 1 of only 40 in the world. The two Ferrari's wrapped in red were Ferrari 499P Hypercars (for LeMans!!), unbelievable finds!
In my opinion, I think you should split your videos into multiple parts. Once I click onto one, I’m usually hooked until something distracts me… that’s when I click off. Shorter vids put into multiple parts gets me exited to see the next one so I can come back without missing anything. Great content btw
Great video once again stig. I enjoyed the brakeriding/tow portion of this video I also happen to be a tow operator and it’s nice to see how a different airport operates with the tows. Those golfhofers tho it’s a love and hate relationship for me lol
Yessss this length of vdos are perfect and too addictive...you are a wonderfully humorous person and your explanations are superb. You don't leave the viewer wondering about acronyms and initializations !! That's great.
First time here and just sat and watched the whole thing! Fascinating! I think you could be doing exactly the job that an awful lot of us would love to do.
Yeah, keep 'em coming. Longer the better Stig. Your videos are great and so interesting. Don't chop them up-that would be carnage! Thank you for the great work you do to bring these videos to us.
Awesome content as usual 👌, those brake temp sensors look like and abs or wheel speed sensor on a motor vehicle, even held in by one bolt also... 😊 yeew 🤙
Great videos! I appreciate your efforts to explain line maintenance, my chosen career path that lasted 52-years. Hopefully, your videos are inspiring young guys and gals thinking about an aviation career. If I could make a suggestion: explain what the acronyms you use mean. MEL-able or BITE are meaningless to industry outsiders. As everyone can tell from your enthusiasm, line maintenance is a fun job. I was always happy at work. Alaska made a big mistake getting out of the Airbus business.
Many thanks, I hope the younger generation learns and enjoys all of this information. In regards to MEL and BITE I have talked about those acronyms and what they stand for in prior videos, but I’ll bring it up again in the future.
Dawg this videos are amazing you make them so informative and fun to watch wish you posted longer videos I sit on front of my tv after work for hours keep the good work coming!!!!

Thanks for the video. Concerning the A321eow, I found this:
Extended Over Water. It's different from ETOPS as EOW means the aircraft meets the FAA requirements to fly up to 400 miles off shore.
Yes, it has slightly different ratings, it still can go over water, but not prolonged amount of time.
Hi. Stig, you are back with a new episode. It's always GREAT to see you again! 🎉🎉🎉
I appreciate you being here. Cheers.
The longer the better! One of my favs is the car-go cargo. Love those beautiful 911's. Can't beat Porsches. Also loved when you spent a couple minutes with that golden retriever, although I'm a cat person myself😻!
Those are some beautiful cars out there, and I am like you, I am a cat person, but I love all animals.
Cool ride-along! And to that medal of honor aircraft 🫡🇺🇸 thanks American for doing that!
Thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it
I like 1 hour & change videos. When they're too short I'm just getting into my technical mode and it's over. The way you're doing it is just right jumping from bird to bird.
Just like having you walk around with me. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
Hi Stig with me longer is always better love seeing someone enjoining the work and taking pride in what they doing keep safe and smile
Thank you so much Steve.
Stig, love your video and I will watch them no matter the length
Many thanks 🙏
Hey Stig, I really enjoy these videos, the longer the better. I get so hooked and look forward to each days adventure. I wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks for taking us along your journey!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for being here and enjoying it.
We must have been good little boys and girls to deserve such a long video! Everybody behave before it gets taken away
You have all made this possible. Without people like you there wouldn’t be me here. I’m the one that’s thankful and grateful. I appreciate you
Nah man, this is all you! Thank you for taking the extra time out of your schedule to make these! I'm an apprentice and these videos are SO useful, so thank you!
Thanks Stig, videos are just great no need for shortening.
I’ll keep them the way they are then. Thank you for watching.
N950XV is your "Neo kid on the block". Which was also what Virgin called that aircraft.
I look forward to working on them. 🤙
Keep the videos as is… lovem and I know I’m getting my needed steps in on the treadmill 😎
Will do. Thank you for being here
That red ferrari is a 246 dino from thw 69s really rare came with a v6 which sounded amazing
It’s beautiful
Man I just stumbled on your channel and its funny how I’m getting my a&p license in 3 months and I’m going to work for American it’s great to see aircraft mechanic channels I feel like i rarely see any and it’s great to see a channel like this keep it up!!
@@joshuakoloshuk3847 thank you so much. And I wish you nothing but the best when you start your job. What station are you going for ?
@@StigAviation I’ll be in clt and it should be in 4 months I don’t know how they are right now in transfers I heard they are pretty fast and I’m in Cattering right now so I can just transfer once I get my license.
The length is good. The content is great. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Seeing all the cool cars in the cargo section makes my day. Keep doing it. I love planes but I also love cars. You made me want to work in airplane maintenance
@@RussellNewell-q2r I’m very happy you’re enjoying it Russell. And if you truly have interest in aircraft maintenance, i would highly recommend you to do some research on how to become a technician.
yeah! here we go !! thanks Stig
My pleasure 🤙
I'm a former US employee, who only flies AA, i live by DFW, but travel a lot for work and every single time I'm at LAX I'm at the windows looking for a maintainer with a phone recording on the ramp! Love it Stig, you always bring a smile to my face!
One of these days you’ll definitely see me. Cheers. And safe travels to you
I guess the fuel consumption of the planes is also a huge factor if they deemed too "old" to use, not just the maintenance costs :)
That would not be part of the airframe age that would be more of the engine age. And they can change out engines anytime they want to improve efficiency.
@@StigAviation Really? Never heard of fitting new engines to old frames. It seems an efficient idea!
@@Sonnell they don’t necessarily have to be brand new engines, they could be overhauled engines.
Great video Stig I liked the A319 there’s nothing like a good old bird I have one sat next to me 😵💫😵💫
Those 319s are little hot rods
I love longer videos, no worries
I’ll keep it just like this Rodrigo, thank you
This is an awesome video!, thx a lot to show real experience to a newly graduated a&p mechanic, love it
Thank you so much for watching Ted, I appreciate you being here and I wish you nothing but the best in your career
24:40 : Ferrari LAFERRARI Fxx ___ pure racecar just for ultra loyal ferrari's customers ( basically they own the car .. but they are not allowed to use it ) all the FXX CARS are in Maranello (italy) available just for some race track days around all the F1 circuit in the world ..( sorry for my English but im italian )
Thank you so much for the explanation. And your English is perfect. 👌
What?! You can own one but not drive it? This is insane😮
@@emmgee555 check "Ferrari clienti" u can buy old F1 cars and the FXX cars ( race versions of Ferrari Enzo,LaFerrari,599Fiorano) and yes u will buy for a crazy amount of money a ultra special car ..without "own" it (until 10 years)
@@StigAviation you're channel is the future
I love watching these and learning about the guts of a plane. It is perfect amount of time.
Thank you. Gland you are enjoying it
"Babe! Babe! Stig JUST posted a new vid! Ok-love-you-night-night-kiss-kiss-cya-in-the-morning-gotta-go-comment-and-say-thanks-to-one-of-my-fav-content-creators!!! Woohoo! I mean, sleep well, dear."
Jesus you take it all the way down you throat
Got back to your babe The video can wait 😅
There are so many videos about pilots, so many videos about their perspective of the job. Same with gate agents and other airport positions. There are not a lot of videos this detailed and this up-close in regards to aircraft maintenance. Your videos are absolutely superb, thank you for THIS perspective!
Also! That Silver Ferrari is an incredibly rare race car, 1 of only 40 in the world. The two Ferrari's wrapped in red were Ferrari 499P Hypercars (for LeMans!!), unbelievable finds!
I am very happy you’re enjoying this perspective Adam, very few mechanics show their life and their work. It’s a different side of the industry.
In my opinion, I think you should split your videos into multiple parts. Once I click onto one, I’m usually hooked until something distracts me… that’s when I click off. Shorter vids put into multiple parts gets me exited to see the next one so I can come back without missing anything. Great content btw
I’ll try my best
I actually love the long format videos! Fascinating work! Thanks for taking us along!
Don’t worry, I’m gonna keep it long, it’s gonna be just like this
Thanks Stig for tonight’s adventure. It was fun going along with you moving (and of course maintaining) the airplanes and seeing the LAX.
Thank you so much Terry, I’m glad you were enjoying it. I’m glad you’re here.
Yes sir I myself like the long videos keep it up man love the information learn something new every time 🤙🏿
Glad you’re enjoying it, I’ll keep it as is
These videos are awesome! When I used to work on brake control for Colljns we called the BSCU the Brake System Control Unit.
That’s absolutely correct. Thank you for watching
I haven't watched a video on youtube for longer than 60 minutes in a while, this was incredibly interesting, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for being here
Great video once again stig. I enjoyed the brakeriding/tow portion of this video I also happen to be a tow operator and it’s nice to see how a different airport operates with the tows. Those golfhofers tho it’s a love and hate relationship for me lol
Those GoldHoffers definitely can be finicky
A new adventure! Greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷🤙
Hello there Charlie. Cheers from LAX 🤙
Loving the long vids! Hello from Brazil! 🇧🇷
Thank you, cheers from LAX 🤙
Yessss this length of vdos are perfect and too addictive...you are a wonderfully humorous person and your explanations are superb. You don't leave the viewer wondering about acronyms and initializations !! That's great.
Thank you so much!!
First time here and just sat and watched the whole thing! Fascinating! I think you could be doing exactly the job that an awful lot of us would love to do.
Thank you for being here and thank you so much for watching. I am very happy that you enjoyed it.
Long is good. Really enjoy your detailed explanations.
Thank you
I had no idea those things were called bugs. Definitely learned a bunch of cool stuff.
It’s my pleasure. Thank you for watching
I love my job as a Gas turbine technician. I work for Standard Aero in Winnipeg. Great video
Is an absolutely incredible job. Thank you so much for watching.
People should see more of this, especially the ones who are nervous flying.
I hope it helps them conquer their fears of flying
Good to see someone walking through aircraft maintenance.
Thank you
Yeah, keep 'em coming. Longer the better Stig. Your videos are great and so interesting. Don't chop them up-that would be carnage! Thank you for the great work you do to bring these videos to us.
Thanks, will do!
Awesome content as usual 👌, those brake temp sensors look like and abs or wheel speed sensor on a motor vehicle, even held in by one bolt also... 😊 yeew 🤙
Interesting how they designed it
Love how the landing gear tilt forward when they call " Gear Up" !!!! AWESOME!!!!!
The best!🛫🤙
Long form is chill. First time viewer. Keep it up stig!!
Welcome aboard! And thank you for watching
Thank you for this very interesting video
Glad you enjoyed it
Dawg this videos are amazing you make them so informative and fun to watch wish you posted longer videos I sit on front of my tv after work for hours keep the good work coming!!!!
I’m so happy you’re enjoying it, I appreciate you being here.
Thanks for sharing Stig .. another beauty!
Many thanks!
