▶Honesty to the point of being awkward: It is our pledge to be as open as possible and always let you know of any relationship we have with any seller or manufacturer. All opinions expressed are entirely our own. When we make a video we will discuss issues with sponsors but we do not allow editorial edits. We will only make changes to our video based on incorrect factual information. Furthermore, we do not post "Ads" on this channel". If we feature a product it's because we believe it has value! That value might be as a boat anchor and if so we will say as much.
▶X-Ray Level Transparency: If a company has paid to sponsor a video we will tell you it's a sponsored video. If a company has provided free products for review we will tell you the product was provided for free. If a company pays for us to travel to an event we will disclose that as well. If a company has done anything for us in the past we try to always include that in our video if it's relevant to the topic.
▶Over Communication: If there is one thing I learned in business. Under communication kills! As such we strive to be easy to access. I try to read all the comments the first day a video is posted. Hey Jeff I wanted to let everyone know that the grill bristles brushes DON’T USE I had 2 surgeries to have them removed and my stomach problems are for ever. The problem is most of the bristles brushes use a coating to give the look and feel of brass, so when they are on foot the are a clear plastic so they are hard for a surgeon to even see them.
I ended up with a total of 3 and haven’t been the same since.
I contacted my Attorney and basically we watched a woman take it to court and lose. Like my Attorney said a China company with billions of dollars there really is no recourse. This comes from a guy who broke his leg ( compound fracture) at a park in the 1970’s and everyone asked did you sue the town?? My answer is no I’m the dummy trying to sled down a footpath with a red plastic sled. I have the brush set last year when you spoke about it, Thank You Jeff and Jess, when you told your stomach issues it gave me hope and now I’m doing much better.
I’ll email you guys with what the Dr. finally prescribed that has been working great.
God Bless 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
hey, sorry, your comment is a bit tough to read. Are you saying to not use the drill-brushes for anything? How did the bristles end up in your stomach? and what does it mean 'when they are on foot?'
@@themadmallard No problem
1. Not looking for typo’s sorry
2..Not the product Jeff recommend
3. If you would like to see the three scars where the surgeon went in come on over I’ll be glad to show you, but after you see all the medical and medications I went through and still going through if you agree to pay for just my medications alone.
Finally STOP BEING SUCH A JACKASS.
God Bless 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@Thom4123 not trying to give you a tough time about it, but it was hard to understand what your warning was. I have some drill brushes, and want to make sure if there is some kind of safety risk that everyone knows it and its super clear.
@@themadmallard I want to apologize sorry for my attitude.
The bristles came from grill brush that looks like and feels like brass bristles and when I was using it on my grill as main source of cleaning and the heat from the grill burns the coating off and becomes translucent and can get on your food and you won’t know until it’s to late.
Again I am very sorry about my reaction.
@@Thom4123 Thats terrible! Your doctors have any idea what that coating was or how to spot it? Hope you're feeling better soon.
I purchased the Bosch Sliding Miter Saw, 12-inch, and I could not be happier. Was it a bit of a price hike? Yes, but worth it in my opinion. I don't see any of the problems or concerns others have said like deflection as long as you use it correctly. I added a dust hood to it with some string LED lights and it is fantastic sitting on my Tough Bilt stand. Great saw.
14:14 love this circuit breaker finder. I would only caution that it has a set distance….the signal through the wires to the panel only goes so far before it’s too weak to detect.
So used to the animated bear...
Yes! Keep the bear! No offense intended ... just enjoy the bear and your little puns so much!
Yes miss the bear 😆 lol sorry nothing bad about you just haven't seen it and thought it was very original.
Right lol NEED the bear
Is the bear hibernating? Wake him up!
I find the bear relaxing.
I have an old Ryobi drill 12v battery. I has 1 duty these days i use it to scramble eegs. Put the egg beater in it and it mixes them perfect. Yea i might be using my tools too much lol but it works so good my wife does it also. Lol
Happy New Year Mr Tool Bear. I had to laugh when you showed the jump start device. I guess people who own Teslas buy generators!🤣🤣
Jeff, I bought the Metabo tablesaw on a Black Friday deal two years ago after your review, and I’ve never regretted it. I later converted my whole tool set to everything Metabo HPT makes. Who can argue with above average tools for below average prices?
Those Westinghouse generator go on a great sale at Sam's club often enough I recommend being patient and grabbing one from them if going with them. Now, I did grab mine beginning of pandemic but I still seen them go cheaper than what Amazon currently shows
I have that Westinghouse 9500 generator, pretty nice so far.
My wife got me that X tool scanner for Christmas. I can't wait to use it! Big win for the wifey. I won't have to take her car to a shop now that I can do EPB etc.
Twenty sixth! I bought a TackLife jump starter at Ollies for $40. Yeah, I know, but if it works once, it will pay for itself. I might get that TopDon, though.
Great video. Those Engineer Scissors are fantastic! I have the PH-55's and I am constantly reaching for them. I paid more than $19.99 for them and at that price I should order another pair. These babies are sharp! Great video Bear. I hope you and your family are doing well in the new year.
Just a reminder that some rv parks will not let you use an open frame generator at all. And the inverter generators are not only more quiet, the create cleaner power which is better for your computers, tv, and other electronics.
Also, while the bigger generators are great for power output, they are also heavier. If you are an older RVer or have back issues, two smaller parallel units may be better for you!
Anyway, shine on!
Air pressure gauge is Great.Love it
Small topdon jumper pack comes with a little cloth holster as a case. Mine just came in today!
I had bought the DeWalt 7491 RS. The one thing I wish that had was the table extension. After I had bought it, Lowe's started carrying the Hitachi/ metabol version you have listed. Unfortunately it was too late which is too bad, since the Hitachi one had dropped down to $300 at one point.
I am torn between a Bauer belt and disc sander and the Rockwell belt/disc combo sander. Both under $200 so within my current budget. Any thoughts bear?
As far as I can tell they came out of the same factory. Best price on the Rock that I saw was $150and the Bauer was $135 I think. Personally I'd get the Bauer and a 2 year extended warranty.
@@denoftools and that deep red is pretty nifty to lol. Thanks bear and all the best to the cubs 🐻🐻
Just got back from my neighborhood HF and picked up the last one! Got the 2yr replacement plan as well. Will export to my Baja shop this Friday. Muchas gracias Bear 🐻
As always a well-presented vid full of good info. My favorite part is I rather use the portable jumper to help someone, I once fried a couple of relays jump starting someone. With today's more complex vehicles even a higher risk of causing damage to your vehicle. Portable jumpers are the way to go over old-school cables (of course you have to remember to keep them charged, I know there are apps to help remind you).
'Could I make it? Yeah but...' I say that a lot! I buy a good bit of equipment/ tools just to modify it to what I need, because it's cheaper than starting from scratch. Also, grab that yeswelder plasma cutter. Good piece of equipment at a great price. Appreciate the vids and hope y'all have a great year! 😊✌️
I bought a Costco Furman 3500W generator and it fired up right away. We had power for 8 hour outage.
Big table saw surprise “Grizzly”. 😂😂
I like think this format looks a lot nicer, but I think you should keep the cgi bear as a logo.
question... what about keeping one of those new style little jump starter things in my car permanently? ...how often would it need to be recharged & is it SAFE to leave it sitting in the car (albiet, not in direct sunlight like sittin on the dash) year round? ...i thought about puttin one in my back hatch in my tool bag to keep it in the car... but i live in the south, & it gets really hot here & i dont want it exploding on me...??? thanx
I live in Phoenix AZ... bought the Schumacher brand from walmart for around $100 and kept it in my car permanently for a year and a half now... the only issue with mine is the charging port is going out which maks it harder to charge. It's a fantastic little jumper. Still holds a charge well and I can get get around 15-20 jumpstarts
@@nickmehan2392 thank u
I ordered a Dewalt chain saw from Amazon that they denied selling/shipping to me in California. They claimed because of the battery, weird thing was it was a tool only chain saw. I ended up getting it from Home Depot.
😂 California SUCKS!
Most people don't have in home gas in Florida. Some do, i would say maybe 25 percent...
You blew it twice with the Bluetti battery box, calling the large plug 30 volts in one spot, and 30 watts in another. Its 30 AMPS! 😁
I bought a lot of these things, including the EBL battery box. Disappointed in the non-plug-in phone charger on top. The box has to be turned on, the phone gets set on top, then the box shuts off after 15 seconds. No charge.
I like the EGo stuff so I bought the pole saw attachment. Horrible. The chain was so cheap it bent when I made it's first cut trimming a 1-3/4" maple branch. I ended up buying an Oregon replacement chain.
In the ten years I have owned my latest vehicle...not once did I need a jump start.I simply make sure it always has a good battery.I certainly dont leave something turned on,its nearly impossible in my car anyway.Even if the door wasnt shut it wouldnt drain the battery.
For Topdon jump starter
that duel fuel generator is this thing to have, run out of gas. no problem just unplug the bbq
Brother, bear, the windchill was -14 IN GEORGIA!!!! So yes, thank God for my generator. I have the predator from HarborFreight.
I have a bunch of astro ai things they’re great for a not so expensive brand
I got that AD10 scan tool from your link, but I don't like it. I had a fault that would come and go and it would never catch it. Went to Orielly and they found it.
Great video. So, when do you think the salt (sodium ion) batteries will start showing up in these battery power systems? Salt vs lithium, salt will have 160Wh/kg where the lithium is 200Wh/kg, but the company is promising the next salt batteries will be 200Wh/kg. They are a bit larger, but they are cheaper than lithium batteries.
Not sure. There are a lot of chemistries being tested right now. Not sure which will come out on top. I think it's going to be 5 years before we see significant change.
Thumbs up and subscribed!
My wife watched you talk about Workpro utility knives, & all your family members stealing them, so she cut to the chase & ordered the ones in pretty colors, so I couldn't steal hers.
man you hit that nail on the head for sure. why do all kids NEVER charge their devices? lol thanks papabear
Great video as usual 👌
I like to wish you a happy New Year and looking forward to future video great content. I would like your option on a table saw I have limited space but love woodworking (hobby) The saws are The Metabo HPT Table Saw (Hitachi ) and the Skilsaw 10-Inch Heavy Duty Worm Drive Table Saw with Stand SPT99-12 would anyone of these be go for s small shop is one better than the other thank you for any advice
Easy choice for me, it would be the Metabo HPT. Maybe also check out the Evolution.
@@denoftools thank you will look into it
I miss the talking bear.
can’t seem to get the 5% off coupon code to work…any suggestions?
I’ll check with them.
Thanks jeff.
To bad I do not buy from Amazon ..
Have you ever heard off vim tools. What is your thought,
I know who they are but I don't really have any experience with them.
@@denoftools maybe you can do a video on the them they look like good tools. I have not bought any yet. But I enjoy your reviews of tools
You give a lot of good information on your channel, but I have to disagree with you on the OBD ll dongle. These cheap devices are known to short out and cause issues with ECU
I heard the same thing from a bunch of viewers when I first started covering these product so I did a very deep dive on the subject. In short what I found was nothing expect a few anecdotal stories and some alleged experts who "just knew" it was bad and loved to tell everyone their car was going to burn down even though they couldn't site any verifiable sources. Products like this are wildly popular in Asia, Russia and Europe and yet with millions of people using them you would think there would be thousands of verifiable cases like this and yet there aren't. Better yet, insurance companies are now promoting products that are permanently installed in the OBDII port and offer discount for people who use them. And lastly, manufactures are doing it as well. Ram even called me trying to get me to subscribe to their vehicle tracking and maintenance program that used a permanently mounted dongle just like this. But as always, I try to keep an open mind. If you can find real proof of this happening repeatedly I'll take a look at it.
pro lift is going for over $400
👍👍👍👍👍
Watch project farm he did a review on jump boxes
That Makita LS1219L is $779 CAD at Home Depot Canada. It’s overpriced on Amazon US.
Crap, just checked Amazon Canada and that saw is only $749 CAD which is only $548 USD.
Am I to understand that the beaver is no longer on crack, but now has anger issues to deal with?
I think it's the substance abuse that is causing the emotional issues.
@@denoftools LOL
Bear, please look at tools at John Deere Dealers
You mean how they refuse to offer parts for repair
First.
I dont buy anything from Amazon !
Xtool fantastic I am so glad I got that and for dirt cheap!!! Thanks to DOT
