+Kashmir Chapman I met your dad when they did a concert at Calvary Chapel Downey...the infamous pants splitting for Bob! I have a pic with your dad from that event and am Facebook friends with him. God bless!
me and 2 other dudes drove from Birmingham, Al. to Front Royal, Va, to see Fishnet 1983, saw Petra and REZ BAND and 10 smaller acts. It was fab. !! still got that T shirt.
One of the few Christian bands who had the goods regardless of genre which made the message that much more powerful. Miss the days when talent was important. The utmost respect.
Reina Tarshis I saw them at a festival in 86 with some christian rock heavy hitters...Whitecross, Rick Cua, Shout, Newsboys to name a few. White Heart was the headliner at the end and the Allies were a couple of acts ahead of them. Ther was a roped off area stage left down front for all of the artists. When Allies hit the stage EVERYONE came out to catch the set!! I laughed as I watched Ric Florian from White Heart mouth open and eyes glued on Bob! They all went to school that night!
@@chrischapman7069 thx for the great ,funny, getting schooled story ! I'll bet this festival was out west, I saw them in '86 in Birmingham, Al. still got the Red, Allies T-shirt i bought that nite.
Bob Carlisle is awwwwsssuuuuummmm and so powerful man that voice is amazing!!!! He's one of the greatest singers ever imo!!!! I wish Allies would make a comeback they were great!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I first heard of these guys years ago when I was in the Navy. They were on a late night program called "Fire by Night". Immediately went out looking for their music.
Wish there was more video from them because I was a fan and still am in 2019 Took my 2 boys way back in late 80’s to see their concert in Wichita ,ks and they probably won’t even remember but just now tonight I was listening to their music, STILL LOVE IT
This is the very first Contemporary Christian Song I fell in love with! My all time favorite Christian Band and Singer. Had every album Allies put out and all of Bob's when he went Solo. He was a lot more than Butterfly Kisses! Awesome!!!!
My faves back as an 80’s teen (besides Allies): Petra, DeGarmo & Key, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart, Steve Taylor, Russ Taff...
***** What do you base your response on? I'll use Psalm 150, which lists every musical instrument they had in those days in the first 5 verses, plus dancing, saying to praise the Lord with them. And then in verse 6 the final verse, it says, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord," which means every person, and every new instrument that would be invented after that, which is what Bob Carlisle and the Allies do in this song.
Man o man! I just had to hear this song again. Bob C. Whatta voice. Randy Thomas... Great geetar work. Randy, it was such a pleasure working with you over at Radio Ranch in TN. This is phil lugo from OBK. Hope u are well and blessed, my brotha!
I really liked Sweet Comfort Band and then Allies with Randy Thomas playing guitar. Both bands had outstanding vocals. The 80's christian bands were very good.
These guys came and played at my high school during our lunch. They started to move away from this format of rock and more towards a softer bluesy adult contemporary style when I l most interest. This album was on forever when I was a kid....brings back memories

That has been my biggest complaint in that u can find anything secular going back to the dawn of time but Christian music is soo hard to find. I was just watching/listening to Sweet Comfort Bands song Perfect Timing. Such an inspiring song when going through a time of trial.
Thank you for posting. Praying for Ukraine and the rest of the world to wake up. God is in control. Humanity needs to Surrender Christ Jesus didn't come to earth and die in vain. Stay Strong and Pray hard warriors . God is love
I just realized that Bob Carlisle looks like Rob Morrow of the 60' Series--COMBAT! What do you think people? Dead Ringer? I hear the series music playing too---Da da da da da da da da da da da. LOL!
Jim Hodson was the original cohost of "Real Videos" with Matt Crouch. He was an incredible dj for the now defunct KYMS as well. He was replaced when Matt married Laurie...
Years ago, doing a Public access Video show called Cross Cuts, I got to meet Bob Carlisle and Randy Thomas.. very down to earth guys! Thought Brian Duncan was an asshole..
@oriel I found a few searching on Amazon. I converted some tapes to mp3. I have Shoulder to Shoulder, Long Way From Paradise And The River is you ever want to Skype.
Bob Carlisle is one of the greatest vocalists to ever walk planet earth in ANY genre. It's tragic some folks only know him for the Butterly song.
TruthHurts58 I counter with Matthew Ward! Lol! I miss the big voices of 80's CCM!
