I just learned that Dana Key passed away! My husband and I used to watch Real Videos on TBN every Friday night in the early 1980s. One of the most memorable videos for us is "Every Moment" by Degarmo & Key. Our son was a little boy at the time and this song meant so much to us and how we felt blessed as a family. Degarmo & Key made such wonderful Christian music! I thank God for their ministry and know Dana is with our God
On the evening of my 40th birthday in 1995, I made a song request for this number on our local Christian radio station. Wonderfully they played it! It brings back special memories.
Enjoyed Degarmo and Key music videos on TBN's Real Videos program in the 1980s. Great music and entertaining videos. Encouraged a young married couple to keep faith with our Lord..."I thank God for the all the Good times...every moment of my life."
Degarmo and Key!!! I definitely remember the 80's! Stryper, Barren Cross, Bloodgood, Shout, Altar Boys, Undercover, Petra, Amy Grant, The Allies, Servant, D-Boy Rodriguez, Lifesavers, Whitecross, Crumbacher, David and the Giants...they don't make bands like that anymore. The early days of christian rock. The 70's was Jesus music. The 80's were different, and better!
ha..ha.. reminds me of 1989, ship landed on my coastal village. i bought this cassette album by Degarmo & Key. loved the tracks. thumbs up. still favourate track afgter these long years..
Awesome. I'm not the only one that caught that. I even yelled "DeGarmo amd Key!!" in the theater when I heard it. That would be an incredible way for resurgence of this kind of music. We need to hear now more than ever.
You know you worked hard when your dad sprays you down with a water hose after a days work. My dad did that to me. We lost him in 2018. But he is with the lord. He was a great example for me growing up of a Christian man.
My life's story, especially since my dad used to work for GM, and made many Chevrolet cars. This became my life's song since my Oral Roberts University days, and now follows me to Alaska where I live and work with Native people up here.
It does have that certain feel, doesn't it? I've often compared this to the "Summer of '69" in comparison to key change as well as lyrically speaking. You've done your homework, and I'm proud.

@@RockySteelMarine Amen. I love the 80s and 90s Christian rock!
Just saw this song mentioned in the closing credits of the "Reagan" movie.
So, it's in the movie, there, someplace.
The instrumental beginning is in there - noticeable and appreciated!

Kick aaa Christian loving life song
My mission ffield days at Kwasisa Bantu... Had an airstip x medical gifts(eyetest, glasses ext) for all

just try NOT imagining "summer of '69" when you hear this... good luck!
I found that Dana is related to my family tree but most importantly Dana key is related to Francis Scott Key ! Star Spangled Banner
this song kinda copies Summer of 69 by Bryan Adam around the :40 second mark. "Jimmy quit, Joanie got married" etc
Sommmm
What do you mean, "is this a joke"?
No, it is what God expects of us...
I would like to know also ? What kind of joke
Does he think it could possibly be
Great yuppie rockin song but with great Christian lyrics instead of materialism
It does have that certain feel, doesn't it? I've often compared this to the "Summer of '69" in comparison to key change as well as lyrically speaking. You've done your homework, and I'm proud.
Key and bitch is more like it!
Shameless Christian rip-off of Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69"... but still fun.
I think this one was made before summer if 69
is this a joke?
These guys were so good in the early part of their career then they released crap like this...sigh
I think you should give this album a listen. They did a remake of Addy on it and it rocks. Nice thick guitars!
Crap? This is one of their most-fun songs. Not everything had to he “slit your wrist” depressing
.
i just looked this up cuz my mom loves them. and thank GOD i found the song for her. i like it too
Ok
I also thank God for this Band. They are the real deal and they love the lord and broke though to the Hurting better than any band I have ever herd
