I just watched this episode today, and it honestly almost made me cry. FIRST time a tv show has done that to me lol. Just knowing Mitchell had done so much to help his friends, and now he wasn't going to be there anymore. It really felt like a family, the characters, and now it wasn't that perfect family anymore. I do think it was necessary though, given how twisted Mitchell had become. He was spiraling out of control. But still a sad ending.
-cries hysterically- Noooooooo!!!!!! He can't die, he just can't. -runs into bedroom, throws self onto bed and cries into pillow- Mitchell was my favorite. He just can't die.
I just watched the whole series in four days or so. I love it so very much. But I wished I stopped after Mitchell died. I had so much trouble getting through the last two series. It was heartbreaking without Mitchell there. So after all this I watched the last episode in which Mitchell dies, and decided that that (for me) was the actual last episode of the whole show... I can't deal with losing Mitchell, he made the show what it is!
mr turner with as dashing a smile as would give the irish queens pause yet more phenonmenal is his ability to grasp his audience as a musician does his instrument gently plucking our emotions and entering us as if with a blade that we might have insight into every nuance of his roles thoughts and feelings outstanding career for this individual
That was the only ending for Mitchell's story, and although I didn't want him to die, I think that was the point. How much more damage could he have done before he was truly unforgivable not only to his friends but to the audience? How much more of his own guilt could he endure? It was eating him away all that time...and all the while his vampiric urge to kill-to survive at any cost-was rending his soul in two. It was killing him. Truly, his death was his salvation. And it was beautiful.
He says that there is nowhere else they could have gone with Mitchell and that it was what they had to do. But it doesnt make it less hard nor does it make me want to stop watching the show. Aidan is my favourite actor ever, but I continue to watch the show without him. With Aidan having to leave for The Hobbit, it was the right decision. There is nothing they could have done with Mitchell.
@RnDFoever25 I totally agree that it was really the only ending possible for Mitchell and I don't grudge it even if I'm sad about it. However, what I do feel is sort of bitter against any other vampire character the have introduced or are going to. It doesn't seem fair that another vampire could get a happy ending when Mitchell tried so hard! Oh well, I can always imagine that Mitchell had some strange yet happy afterlife. Its gotta be better then his life on earth.
i just saw it. I saved this vid to my favs but never watched it cuz I didn't want to be spoiled. I've JUST finished the ep and it wasn't sad to me. it was was beautiful. I'm happy the way it ended. It ended with them remaining brothers. And everybody loved everybody. In the end they were still a family. I was so worried about how this would play out. It played out with them being brave and defiant and standing together. Toby Whithouse is AMAZING. The cast is Amazing. I'm happy.

What a lovely moment. I mean I was sobbing - don't get me wrong, but...his end was inevitable whether it was this series or 3 down the line or whenever. Still, he was with friends, he'd said what he needed to say, he redeemed himself as much as a man who has done what he has can - and he died human. If you had to exist the way he did, that's how you'd want to go out - being loved, being human.
@FangBlossom98 to me too... but I hope in US they won't do the same thing, the producers said that they're going to take a different direction on some things in the story, so let's have faith!!, because I would cry and stop watching the show if they take out Witwer from it.
I also thought if Mitchell didn't kill those people he would have been good and he called have save George and Annie (maybe Nina) the head of time and Annie wouldn't get suck in the wrong door, but he realize he was betray by Lucy which cause his heart to blacken and piss off rage to kill those ppl in the Box tunnel. I just predicting what would have happen if he didn't have to go through this, but like he said before, he wants to be punish anyway because of his dark past.
Nina hated Mitchell, because she was just frustrated woman who felt unloved, because she did not love herself. Mitchell left Being Human because of greed not because he had to, They had alternative endings and it is Mitchell himself wanted to die in the show, for me better would be he had simply gone into unknown, more powerful than being killed, that made him somehow weak. After him gone show was slowly dying.
Zoran Ramzo Kamenycky Nina was an amazing character, yes Mitchell and Nina didn't get along but still.. Mitchell was wrong for committing the Box tunnel 20 and Nina made a massive mistake by grassing up Mitchell but at least the show ended how it did and it could've ended worse..
Vampires don't come back as anything as they don't fit into the world. Herrick said that once they turn to dust they are gone forever with no way back. Aidan also said he wouldn't make the plot as if he could come back in a later series because he said it could be predictable and 'unsatisfying' :(
I didn't like that he as my fav character had to die, but i know it was the right decision. But as much as i agree with that decision, i haven't and i won't watch any other series' it just won't be the same, it might be good but it's not for me! i enjoyed these 3 series though!!! Xx
Don´t worry Russel, we are not going to hate George, it was the right thing to do, he did well. But It is sad at the same time, I´m gonna miss Mitchell.

The only problem is, they made the entire season go in this direction (killing Mitchell) bc Aidan decided to take the role in Hobbit. Sure he has the right to choose his own career path but I can't help imagine what lovely adventures we could have seen otherwise. I'll never forget season one. The last one was so effin depressing.
Just watched his finale again on Netflix. Tears my heart out every time...
I admit, I cried and re watched it and cried again.... Mitchell was an awesome character! And Aidan's an exceptional actor!

HolandaChiquita you should definitely watch the last 2 series, it introduces a new vampire called Hal and I think he's actually rather likable.

The writers ruined Mitchell and Annie's characters. Nina is also completely unlikeable
he can come back as a ghost, why not? he and annie together? it makes perfect sense.
