i see three young acoustic musicians getting used to a monitor system. they take a lot of getting used to. if it's a foldback system you have to learn to hear yourself in the mix and "monitor" your performance. if they are using in-ear, that is a lot harder to learn, particularly both ears at once. it's like you are singing into your own skull, and you get a vertigo-like sensation. i won't fault a singer for pitching out on the first chorus, done it myself plenty. i have been doing this for 30 years and i still can't use two in-ears.
