Chances are your 6 grandchildren are brilliant in narrow areas, since they don't have the diverse exposure to be well rounded in their education (beware of internet learning). I further suspect your grandchildren aren't deep into STEM or the life sciences (as in wanna be doctors, surgeons, researchers, etc).

My son was “sheltered” as they call it. In my house my wife and I call it keeping him innocent and letting him have a childhood and a proper teenage years. He has never touched a cigarette or an illegal drug or a drop of alcohol. He has never had an illicit relationship either. Yes it can be done today. I’m proud of him. He’s 22 now and has landed a good job. He would love to be in a relationship but sane girls are hard to come by even in church. At this point I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for saving my son at an early age and preserving him from the sin he could even now indulge in. My prayers and his mothers have been honored by God. We say publicly thank you Lord. That doesn’t mean I still don’t pray for him everyday and his mom too.
I wish I had been been homeschooled...I was forced to attend to a communist school in Poland in the 80-ties. Thanks to my parents school brainwashing was not effective and my childhood was not so bad. I afraid that you in the USA have similliar problem now. home schooling is a mixed bag. Its success depends on the parents who, in the real world, are diverse so you get bad homeschooling stories as well as good stories.. My kids went to a public school but they learned a lot at home as public schools tend to teach non-controversial stuff because of politics.
Gotta say it. Some people simply do not know how the stfu! Rude patrons yakking & talking while the artists are talking to the audience & singing & playing what is clearly a thoughtful & poignant ballad. So frustrating.
