They were FANTASTIC when we saw them. The video does justice to the fun and the quality, but nothing can match the energy of being there in real life. If you like this video and haven't seen then person, don't miss any opportunity you get!
it always amazes me how effortless she sounds. she sounds like she sounds the same off stage and on stage, like i don't think this woman gets stage fright
It is comforting to see that pros flub too. Then they roll with it and laugh it off. Then CRUSH. They look like they are in their element. Having so much fun.
matty you're a moron with poor taste and bad time management skills, as you choose to spend yours not only watching videos of bands you (stupidly!) don't like, but also commenting on them. Truly sad!
Just an absolutely *extraordinary* rendition of "Hey Mami" as the opener. (Best version, though no hate to the rooftop version w/ backup band.) Love it forever.
I found this band through a live performance on concert festival of Firefly in like 2016 or something, this proved to be even more of a reason why I like them! Too bad I missed them at Boston Calling :(
Late answer, but he’s generally using OP-1 and Moog Minotaure, driven by Ableton sending them the midi notes and he adjusts the filters, etc on the physical gear on the fly.
@@johnpinck5881 wow, that's pretty crazy. I'd love to see more of his process and workflow...did you learn about this somewhere that might have more info?
I'm not in love with Sylvan Esso, but there is a lot of hate on this page. If you hate SE that much, I can't imagine how you feel about top 40 music. I think there is other music that is a bigger issue...
I hate 9 out of 10 top 40 songs.. but I LOVE these guys! I saw them in concert and the lights were so bright I spent most of it peeking through my fingers! I still say they were fabulous!
Dissing Amelia’s voice? What the what? If you’re unimpressed here, check out Mountain Man, her first band, which was basically just sweet sweet a cappella Appalachian harmonies - Feist took them on tour for a while as her backing singers 👌
Carlos Munoz that's where trolls live, under bridges. Did your parents not teach you that if you don't have anything good to say you shouldn't say anything at all? Isn't there enough hate and negativity in the world? Why do you feel the need to put more out there? These two are having fun and making beautiful music that many people love. If it's not something you like why not pass it up and move on? Why spend your time shitting on it? Why not find music you do like and express positive sentiments about that instead? You're obviously articulate, why not articulate positively instead of negatively?
Actually watch the official video there is a ton of dancing in the video. For some reason this is what Indie Synth whatever this genre is dance this way.
My choice for music on my 62nd birthday today. Just love Sylvan Esso.

Dude, whoever did their sound fucking KILLED IT. They sound seriously so amazing.
I'm here for the dance moves
Bruno Trochmann so is everyone else 😂

That's a killer setlist, thanks for keeping time :)
Uhhh... Blew my mind. Danced to my teenage son's judgmental eye rolls and f***it, can't get enough of them.
I love the way she moves
Who not?
That thumbnail is everything
Love her voice. I suddenly feel like dancing. (:
i love her dance moves
Me too, it doesn't get mentioned enough.
I WAS THERE AND ITS WAS AMAZING!
One of their most unpredictable, and therefore creative, performances. I love it.
made me love them even more.
I dig the aesthetic of this. It's oddly satisfying
Radio gave me chills
I felt the same when they did KJT & Die Young
It is comforting to see that pros flub too. Then they roll with it and laugh it off. Then CRUSH. They look like they are in their element. Having so much fun.
That "Die Young" performance was amazing. Great transition to Just Dancing too!
This music makes me believe everyone at this concert was one of the chillest people on the planet.
My movin', dancin', heart liftin' inspiration! Thank you!!!! Recharge accepted! ❤

cograts with grammy nominee!
Love these guys. Hope to see them soon!
straight fire performance.
They're just fucking awesome live.
Yeah, saw them in a small club a couple of years ago and it was a great show.
then why are you here?
Absolutely incredible! They get the entire crowd going.
matty you're a moron with poor taste and bad time management skills, as you choose to spend yours not only watching videos of bands you (stupidly!) don't like, but also commenting on them.
Truly sad!
I'm going to see them in Minneapolis on July 20th!
I really like her dance moves !
Fantastic Band and a fantastic light Show
amelia is truly the magic unicorn we don't deserve, but graces us with it's presence anyway.
Going to see them tonight. Watching live vids to warm up. It's just so good.
this is such a wholesome performance :))))

Nick is genius, and so is Amelia.👶😊💥
This is wonderful
❤❤❤❤
Love them.
Wow
Came for the music, stayed for the crazy dancing.
Just an absolutely *extraordinary* rendition of "Hey Mami" as the opener. (Best version, though no hate to the rooftop version w/ backup band.) Love it forever.

So good. Why can't I "like" this more than once, UA-cam?
Not to repeat what somebody said just below, but this live made me love you even more

One of the best bands on earth!

She mesmerizes me.

i really wish i made it to Boston calling to see them too :(
Damn they are a hot band!
they are so cute!
SoMuchLove-Epic introduction
great performance, great video, just wish the audio was cleaner
Este festival si que sabe seleccionar su lineup año con año, espero que Sylvan Esso pronto vengan a México.
Van a estar en el corona!
Amelia - Melting Metal with her voice.
that low voice in dress 13:18. fire
I wonder if her slippers are also platforms.
James Camien McGuiggan she wears a lot of platform shoes!
It's one of my few firm believes that when everyone can dance it off like Amelia we'll have world peace, too.
Shaking off the NUMB
reminds me or Edie Brickell
26:25 😍😍😍🤩
Is that Elaine Benes on stage?
What kind of synth is he using? Is that analog or just a daw?
Late answer, but he’s generally using OP-1 and Moog Minotaure, driven by Ableton sending them the midi notes and he adjusts the filters, etc on the physical gear on the fly.

So much hip sing
No Nukes!
Are their concerts more like raves or just a regular concert?
They really need to match her energy

How the hell can anyone hate SE. Or compare them to typical top 40 in any way....yikes.
Synthpop for people that don’t like synthpop.
maybe because there's a folk influence in their music too... synthfolkpop
Yeah, kinda, huh? I just love them but cant figure out why.
I don't know why but they really rub me the wrong way. BUT I LIKE IT!
Who cares about people that don't like synthpop
Bc she got soul
6:18 FUCK MY PRETZEL BITES
Is she from the Midwest... "Ope!" HA!
Nope from good Ol' NC
There so good, but jeez what a boring ass crowd! I would’ve been fuckin jamming out man!!
GUNT
She has the same average Apple commercial ad voice
Dissing Amelia’s voice? What the what? If you’re unimpressed here, check out Mountain Man, her first band, which was basically just sweet sweet a cappella Appalachian harmonies - Feist took them on tour for a while as her backing singers 👌
Look up “indie girl voice”
Go back under your bridge sir.
Jackie Dean my bridge? Please elaborate!

Musicians that can't dance is always weird thing.
why is that weird? what does one have to do with the other? Do you think it is weird when people who can dance, cant sing?
Dancing is subjective, no? Just moving to music. Unless it’s structured choreography, you can’t really be *wrong*
Groovin to music while you're creating it isn't the same as dancing
Actually watch the official video there is a ton of dancing in the video. For some reason this is what Indie Synth whatever this genre is dance this way.
William Sink Yes William, artists should be able to dance to their own music. If anyone can it should be them. OR SHOULD IT????
A rather insipid blend of Bjork and Merrill Garbus. I'll stick to the original artists and leave the fans of this pairing to enjoy them.
Better still: stop commenting.
K bye
