I recommend you check with the dealership or your local mechanic about torque specs because 63 ft. lbs. is not correct. I followed this video that was sent to me by brace 1 performance as a guide. I ended up breaking a stud and had to have my strut plate replaced. According to the repair shop the correct torque spec is only 37 ft. lbs. for the 2020 Camry SE Not 63! So inform yourself so you don't end up paying about $500 in repairs for a $150 part like I did. I know have everything repaired and the strut bar on torqued @ 37 ft. lbs. X 3 nuts and no issues so far.
Thank you. Most information is found on forums or sent by community. Reason we put disclaimer in our description video to ensure ppl follow dealer or professional specs. I have pinned your comment for future reference in the community.
@@BoostedWhipz Just for reassurance I called a local import repair shop that is well known in my area and confirmed that 37 ft lbs is correct according to their database as well.
The 3 nuts of the strut mount are torqued to 50nM / 37 ft-lbs. for all 8th Gen. Camry trims (2018 - 2024). I had installed the Brace1 Performance (red) $150 in my 2023 Camry XSE V6 in March 2023. The upper front strut brace is not required or needed (in new vehicles) as it is for aesthetics or give the car a sporty appearance. Generally used to help body roll when the suspension is worn. Depending on future repairs, it does block access to certain engine components and may have to be removed. Also, installed hood lift supports from eBay seller, SimplyEarth, includes OE Toyota Mounting Hardware for $97 S&H plus tax. therefore removing the lousy Prop Stick. When removing the hood rod/prop stick it will removed some paint so have some Touch Up paint on hand. Both are easy mods. Toyota stopped installing Hood Lifts as a means to save money and gave us the lousy stick. Some people have complain about the hood being made too thin and lightweight as it vibrates and wobbles when driving above 30MPH. Maybe true because most vehicles today are Snap-Togethers or like Lego Blocks with EVERYTHING CHEAP and sucky or inferior Quality. Hey I have really been enjoying your vids man. Really really wish everyone would do vids the way you do them. Your vids are extremely informative, information presented clearly, and they aren't longer than they need to be with a bunch of useless chatter and "humorous side bits". Your honesty and transparency is appreciated as well. My only frustration with your channel is that you don't have a lot more cars to teach us about! But I stopped looking at the 3.0TT MKZ and am about to test drive an Accord Touring next weekend and your channel really helped solidify that decision. You've earned yourself another subscriber, I hope you get many many more. 👍🙏🙂
Looking into just upgrading what I can to have my Camry drive & feel better. Been a few months since this video & was wondering, what’s the difference you feel, how’s the quality, how is the car now?
Strange on Torgue. I was told 29 Foot Pounds and 36 ft/lbs for the strut center nut which not touched from the Toyota Dealership Service Dept. for 2023 Camry XSE V6. Yes! some other UA-cam videos give 63 ft/lbs which is incorrect.
I wouldn't say cheap tbh... the rigidity of this brace is very good and definitely helps as advertised. Brace1 prices for US is much lower than other brands I know which use the same product rebranded.
@@BoostedWhipz Hmmm, let me rephrase it. You can buy it at a cheaper price from a Chinese manufacture because Brace1 just rebrands it by putting their name on it.

Nice video but any thoughts on the 7 or 8 piece setup Brace1 offers? For Camry 2018-2022

Hello.
There’s no need to lift the car when tightening the bolts on this model ?
Nope
Do you remember the torque spec on the lower part of the strut to knuckle?
I do not.
I ended up finding out it was 156ftlbs
I’m in the market for a strut bar and I’ve seen tanabe one too, any differences between these two?
Not too sure on differences but the one from BRACE1 Performance is great.
Is this only for look or what do to suspension?

Yezzir!
What does a strut bar do?
Benefits are listed in the description.
Good luck adding brake fluid 😂😂😂
Brace1 is just a rebranded from a cheap Chinese strut bar

That could be true but delivery times are much greater. You are paying for fast deliver and readily available in USA
@@BoostedWhipz they are on amazon for a cheap price and free prime delivery
Go for it 👌🏼
