Talk about timely - I’m finishing this today, and I share your enthusiasm, brother! I appreciate hearing your thoughts as I have about 50 pages left. Perhaps we should have a discussion? I would certainly enjoy it!
A video discussion on the whole of broken empire would be super fun, especially if you do spoiler free and spoiler filled timestamps. But i assume it wouldn't do well views wise :/
Yay, guess what i am currently reading! I'm just over halfway and i'm having so much fun with this book. I just love Jalan as a character and i enjoy being in or figuring out some "known" (irl) places.
Funnily enough I am reading this book now, I’m about 2/3 of the way through it, and I have to agree that this is Mark’s best written book. And that battle was just incredible! Hope one day to see the Broken Empire/Red Queen’s War adapted for tv. Oh, and how about that rooftop conversation? That was a true highlight of the trilogy for me.
Loved the whole trilogy. Jalan and Snorri are the best duo i have read so far and they really grow on you! The only thing i did not like that much was the last conflict in this last book. It felt a bit weak. Besides that, this book really had a lot of variety and was fun to no end. Great review as always!
I have this trilogy sitting on my shelf. I've been hesitant because I was disappointed in the Book of the Ancestor series but it's good to know that it's a good read. I guess now I should move it up on TBR list. Great review as usual.
So tell us how you really feel.... I would love to go back to this world. The backstory is really fascinating. The end did get a little weird and I was left a little unsatisfied. Perhaps because I figured out what the Wheel was about 5 books prior and was waiting for more on it. But one of Lawrence's strengths is also one of his main detractors. That he chooses his main characters to be basically unlikable. Hope you give Red Sister another try. Again a fascinating world, Holy Sister still on my tbr list.
I DNF'd red sister last year. Gonna try again later this year. I had just come off reading poppy war, so young protagonists in academy settings was just too much back to back
Someday I will read Mark Lawrence! 🖤
He's in my top tier 🙌
Would love to see a vid on your TBR!
Cracking review, spot on
I loved these two trilogies and the connections that come together at the end
Soooo gooood 👌
Mark Lawrence flashbacks are the best flashbacks. Aw man, I really need to finish this trilogy. haha
Yeah you do 😉
This book had my favorite flashbacks of all 6. This and King are tied for me as my favorite books. So glad you loved it!
An absolute masterpiece of worldbuilding and character work 👌
sounds FUCKING AWESOME
Oh, it is 🙌

@@ves138 It would be worth it just for those of us who love the books, but it might surprise us with the number of views too.
@@PhilipChaseTheBestofFantasy hope it does come to fruition :)
A Slowly Chased across the Broken Empire?! Count me in. 😁
I'm a couple books behind but Lawrence is a pretty quick read
@@robpaul7544 🤣 Slowly Chased - I like that, Rob! If Mark is in, I’ll be tempted to use it.
Just finished the trilogy. Bloody love it. Can't wait to read Broken Empire.

Right!! There's alot of mind blowing worldbuilding going on, especially when you start to realize what's what

Absolutely, I think his writing is just so damn good in this one

Gush away Mark! Such a great ending to the trilogy
It really is. An amazing trilogy all together 👌

My buddy Terry said book 2 of ancestors is some of the best he's read. I'll definitely be giving it another shot
Hei Have read the manga monster or 20th century boys by naoki urasawa? Could you recommend novel series similar to it?
Where is your TBR? Are you going to dive into 'Book of the Ancestors?'
