My favorite episode was when Buffy had a friend that was ill with Luekemia n Buffy spent a early Christmas with her before she died. Sad episode but good . ill little girl was played by actress Eve Plumb who was Jan on the Brady Bunch.

Some early work as well, by Erin Moran (Joanie/Happy Days) in another episode.

I just found Family Affair on Dailymotion and was able to rewatch the show after 40 years. Buffy and Jody were the cutest two little kids in the history of television!!! ❤💙 (and their Uncle Bill was the hottest! Rawr!)

I am watching family affair also as I missed quite a few episodes when I was a kid, Buffy and Jody were so adorable and what you wrote about Uncle Bill, I strongly agree!!! Kathy Garver played Cissy so well and how they all had such great chemistry on and off the show. RIP Sebastian Cabot( 1971 ?), Anissa Jones( 1976 ?) and Brian Keith(1997)❤

Here is some irony for you. Having recently started watching ROKU, a streaming service, I have been going back and forth between Family Affair and Mad Men. I was around for the original run of FA. I was around 13 when Buffy died. Among other things, the powerful sedative Senocol was found in her system. As I am watching a fourth or fifth season episode of Mad Men (which I had missed when it originally aired) Sally Draper was scared to go to sleep. This show takes place in the 60's if you haven't seen it. Anyway, her grandmother pulls out a pill, bites it in half and says to Sally "Here, take this". Sally asked what it was and the answer? Senocol! If you are into nostalgia and haven't seen this show I highly recommend! You should all probably re-watch Family Affair too. It's a great and heartwarming show and the kids are just cute overload. Thank you for taking the time to read my drivel. :)

Thank you for watching - we appreciate your thoughts and insights into FA and MMen. We love both shows as well, and remember that Sally scene with her grandmother (babysitter?) Good stuff. Family Affair is quite underrated we think, and glad it has continued to air - recently on cable-TV's Decades. We're big fans of Cissy... Kathy Garver, and really like the growth she displays during the series... from teenager to younger woman - good stuff.

My favorite eoisode is when Buffy befriends some kids in a poor neighborhood. Uncle Bill took her to the neighborhood and both of them wore simple clothes to fit in.

Uncle Bill was so awesome, that he just went along with it because he knew how much it meant to Buffy because she was having so much fun, Mr. French had more of an issue with it than Uncle Bill. There was always something different to learn with each episode and that's why I love the show till this day.👍❤

I found this episode to be the saddest because they didn't know what was wrong with Eve Plumb's character and the mom thought it was best for Buffy not to continue visiting her, then Uncle Bill came through for them by suggesting that they spend an early Christmas together, then later when Uncle Bill is heading to his room, he hears Buffy crying and goes in to give her a hug, that's what got me, so sweet.

Is that Dana Plato on the show? Her story was sad also. Accidental overdose and son committed suicide on the anniversary of his mom's death.

I was 9 years old when Anissa Jones passed away and I cried so much. She didn't even get a funeral. Anissa's mother sure didn't do right by her. Anissa has a piece of my heart to this very day. It's my hope that Anissa and her brother Paul are together and are both very happy. (Her brother Paul's cause of death was also a drug overdose but it was written somewhere that Paul died of a broken heart. I'll agree with that.) BTW: I never refer to Anissa by her character that she was most famous for because Anissa hated that so much.

@@tonyharden7159 you day such wonderful things. I too, was affected by Anissa's death. I was 10. My Dad, sister and friends had spent the day at beach, and my Dad showed me the story of her death. It was so sad. It has affected me, since that day. I remember it very clearly.
I had no idea, she didn't get a funeral. That is awful. So many people would have wanted to come say goodbye and mourned her. That is very sad.
