I can think of five recommendations. 1. White Buffalo, a western/Giant monster movie starring Charles Bronson!
2. the Bermuda Depths, a creepy ghost story set around the Bermuda Triangle and it has a Giant Turtle that is so damn creepy.
3.Gamera Vs. Barugon, without a, doubt the best of showa Gamera movies
4.The Blob (1988), an incredibly fun, gory rump that is just as good as the original if not better.
5.THEM!, the only time the idea of giant ants has ever been done right.
“Aaayyyyyyyyy my dudes I’ m DylloFello”
I WAS STARTLED BY THAT
Glad to see TROLLHUNTER, COLOSSAL, and A MONSTER CALLS here!
I like Kaiju movies
The Magic Serpent (Toei) from 1966. Fun fantasy Tokugawa era film with wizards and giant monsters!
The Black Scorpion (Warner Brothers) from 1957. Not the best of giant monster films, but those scorpions certainly looked menacing thanks in part to the stop-motion of Willis O'Brien and Pete Peterson. New beautiful looking blu-ray has just come out!
Q (Arkoff International) from 1982. A flying serpent is terrorizing NYC, with Michael Moriarty, at his craziest best!
Man I would like to get my hands on some of these movies like Deep Sea Monster Reigo vs. Battleship Yamato and the Daimajin trilogy.
Reigo is in stores at Walmart now
Daimajin is on UA-cam full movies
Reigo was alright. Nothing fantastic but there was a cool shot or two and I like the design. Raiga...I can't finish after some thirty minutes.
@@thechosenone7157 Daimajin really only shows up at the end in the movies but they are great movies.
Some kaiju flicks that I like include:
- Colossal
- Gamera vs Guiron
- Gorgo
- battle of the gargantuas
- Pacific Rim
- Varan
- Etregon
- Yongary
15:55 "...fans of the 1976 Kong..."
Yes. All 14 of us.
There are literally DOZENS of us. 😅
Once DylloFello started talking it toke everything in me not to turn off this video
I thought I was going to be the only one, between the random screaming and blatantly obvious cringe script reading..
Excellent video!! Really enjoyed it!
Surprised y’all didn’t include the short film Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo. Highly recommended.
Great lists; personally, I think a lot of these movies are pretty great.
1. Gorgo - I saw you sneak it into the honourable mentions, but I think it's good enough to stand on it's own.
2. It Came from Beneath the Sea - Great great B-film with lots of actions and a fond place in my memories from childhood.
3. Space Amoeba - Another fun one in the honourable mentions. Corny, but good for a laugh and good for a rainy day movie.
4. The Beast from 20, 000 Fathoms - Another one from my childhood that burned into my brain and became the archetype of monster movies for years to come!
5. Quatermass and the Pit - While not a fully fledged 'monster' movie, the finale involves a giant insect mirage rising up over London and destroying the city with psychic powers and making people kill each other. Very good film all round with sci-fi, drama and suspense all wrapped up into one.
James Davies Thanks! And that's a good list you got there!
Cheers man! Honestly, It's hard to come up with an 'original' list at this point, or film lists were people always talk about the classics; but it was good to see some variety, particularly with the Indie flicks and the Attack on Titan films. Can't say I'm a massive fan of Attack on Titan past the Manga, but they're good tokusatsu films all the same.
That's also why I put 'Quatermass and the Pit' in mine! Britain's got some interesting B-flicks that have some brains and heart behind them;
Lots of Hammer produced ones like; 'The Quatermass series', 'X the Unknown', 'The Abominable Snowman'.
There's also ones like 'The Trollenberg Terror: AKA The Crawling Eye' , 'The Giant Behemoth', 'The Strange World of Planet X' and 'Island of Terror'.
All of them well worth a watch with some star power behind them too.
Great video
Great List! Thanks!
Good source for kaiju movie's list
Some I'd add-
X from Outer Space- Way more fun than I'd heard from reputation, a pretty solid alien kaiju flick with fun effects and feel
Pacific Rim Uprising- which doesn't have the cinematography of the first (with the added note what's there is still quite impressive with the best mecha vs mecha fight I've seen in one of these movies) but has a more developed human side
Pulgasari- Famous for it's background, it's actually pretty solid in it's own right, and another rare period piece like Daimajin
Gamera vs Jiger- The best of the Showa Gameras but one of the more overlooked. Very cool monster design
Hmm I'mma have to track down some of these for sure, they sound great
Great video!
Kaiju Crunch Thanks!
Tried to watch the whole thing but that background music- even though it's Godzilla- is really nerve-racking.
5: Mothra
4: The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
3: Frankenstein Conquers the World
2: War of the Gargantuas
1: The Gamera Trilogy
Godzilla vs. Destroyer made me cry and I'm not ashamed to admit that
8:16 THANK YOU MILL CREEK ENTERTAINMENT
I'd recommend:
- Big Man Japan
- The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms
Big Man is really a crazy movie. Must see.
Varan needs a reboot
Why is that dude whispering all through his "KING KONG LIVES" Editorial???
He might be embarrassed about his fondness for it.
9: Rodan
8: The Mysterians
7: Mothra vs. Godzilla
6: Mothra
5: Frankenstein Conqures the World
4: War of the Gargantuas
3: Daimajin
2: The Gamera Trilogy 90s
1: Gojira
Rodan is the Mightiest of the Monsters
I thought it was Godzilla but ok.
Matango is another great kaiju flick!
Great video and great choices. Here are 5 kaiju movies I recommend as well (not including Godzilla, Kong and Gamera):
5. War of the Gargantuas
4. Daimajin
3. Colossal
2. 20 Million Miles to Earth
Honorable mentions:
1. Pacific Rim.
LOVE Troll Hunter!
I need more info on Varan, never heard of it and now I gotta see it.
aight, let’s see if there is one that I don’t know😅😂
Lol guess you could say knogashema would've give his "LEFT NUT" to see Varan get a "EXPLOSIVE" review.lmao
My number one would be Atragon
i would like to recommed (because i like them and they derserve more love) king kong lives, the deadly mantis, the giant behemoth, yongary monster from the deep, the danish cut of reptilicus, gargantua and konga, and on the more generally liked spectrum Gorgo, Gappa, mega monster battle ultra galaxy legends, the movie
I love 1998 mighty joe young . It’s the year I was born and my second kaiju movie . The firs being gelemath .
Agreed Varan is awesome
Thank God for SRS Cinema. Now I can finally watch Reigo and Raiga without having to buy a bootleg with half-assed fan subs
I haven't seen the Attack on Titan films, Ultraman The Next, Yamato Takeru, Negadon, Reigo, Daikaiju Eiga G (only film I've not heard of) and Gehara.
Generally I like the choices presented, and the recognition of non-Japanese films like Trollhunter and 7th Voyage of Sinbad really shows that you guys have a decent level of knowledge and love for the genre, not just Godzilla.
The 1998 Mighty Joe Young remake has great SFX from Baker, great to see it get love. I don't agree it's superior to the 1949 original.
I'm guessing going to check out that Ultraman movie
Daimaijin sounds like a really good movie, but to say it is better than all the Gamera movies combined (which includes the Heisei trilogy)? No way is that possible.
methlokaiju I was referring to the Showa Gamera movies by Daiei, who also made Daimajin.
I have seen the host and it was amazing
Well shoot, I took like a majority of time. I really gotta get the hang of the whole "summarizing" thing
you're very pretty and I loved your choices here, but I wished your audio had been a lil louder :(
Travis Gubernick ummm, very pretty? Lol?
War of the gargantuans is best. Then Damjin😄
When is howl beyond the fog coming out?
It is one of the first non-Godzilla film produced by Toei
Where can I watch daikaiju eiga g?
YAY VARAN

That's ALL
I'm not really sure the Jurassic series counts as Kaiju films, since dinosaurs were actually real animals instead of fictional monsters
Varan is on criterion channel
Toei's version of Godzilla
I don't know what I just watched, but "Attack on Titan" 1 & 2 were freakin sick! Enjoyed every second, even though with the Subtitles distracting from the action, but necessary reading, I got everything but the end of part2, when Erin says "Now it all begins." Anyway, great suggestion, but not "War of the Gargantuas" except for the big battle between the 2 "Rock Stars,"lol. I ain't into Anime so there's nowhere to go from here for me. Tremendously underrated Apocalyptic movies! Kudos!
It's different to the anime? You mean it's actually good?
Does "Daikaiju Eiga G" literally translates into "G the Giant Monster Movie"? He he, that's clever
My favorites all-time:
"War of The Gargantuas" not only my favorite, but Rated #1 on many official lists. Still get chills seeing Green running! And eating the girl then spitting out her dress. Costumes better than CGI! CLASSIC!
No gorgo?
Some of these are in the Godzilla universe so don't they kinda count as Godzilla movies? 🤔
No because Godzilla is not in the movies
Also Toho Co Limited sued Colosso
12:00
You are no longer humid...
A nose not you!
YOU WILL BE DEFLOWERED!!!
There's a remake of Mighty Joe Young? Good lord, I'm glad I've never seen it.
Ray Harryhausen makes a cameo in it.
For Me Is Obviously Godzilla
Not Counting Godzilla Is Gamera 1965
Howl from beyond the fog was fucking amazing
What is the thumbnail?
Gehara the Dark, Long-Haired Monster
Well hia well I'm crockidon this is just my yt channel
*sigh* Satomi Ishihara is a special effect in and of herself...oh, ahem. Digressing! Y'all made some excellent choices, here, and I've actually seen or own most of them. Well done! Lousy background music, though...
YES!! King Kong '76 & King Kong Lives get some love for once!!
Yo where the f is cloverfield
Watch attack on titan movie and tell us what horror you saw
Feel free to check out my review on the live action films here: ua-cam.com/video/fLsE7IiBZGE/v-deo.html
Good list here is mine:
1-cloverfield
2-rampage
3-Pacific Rim uprising
4-gamera 3 revenge of iris
5-the meg
Nice list! You have good kaiju taste
No "Konto 55: Space Adventure" ? Dislike.
Never heard of it, but I am interested. Would you like to fill me in on what it's about?
@@TitanGoji I was being sarcastic, don't worry. It's an obscure science-fiction comedy from Jun Fukuda, and I love it.
@@thatguyfromm7878 You had me at Jun Fukuda. Anyway I can get a physical copy?
@@TitanGoji You can, but it will cost you more than 50$. I'd be willing to help you if you keep the file for yourself. Plus, I uploaded the soundtrack on another channel; you can already make your mind on whether or not you're interested.
@@thatguyfromm7878 Well, at least it's not as bad as Gunhed. That thing goes for over $100 nowadays. And since I am a fan of Jun Fukuda's work in the Godzilla series, I'm pretty interested in seeing his work outside of that. And I promise to keep the file to myself.
attack on titan the movie is awful compared to the manga and the anime but they did use puppets instead of cgi
I don't like attack on titan live action it's make me disappoinment
Ok hear a ???? for you all how many kaiju movies coming out on theater world wide thats inclouds kong vs godzilla ??? in 2021
