Just heard this song on the rock station in the most recent "Saints Row" (which is actually really fun, IMO), and instantly fell in love with it. I love the abrasive and deliciously crunchy production, it sounds so dense and overdriven. I'll definitely be checking out this guy's discography.
Yeah, they seriously knocked it out of the park with the radio stations in that game. The game was already fun enough for me but hearing those radio stations sealed the deal.
Swampgeese I honestly can’t get enough. It’s so fucking crazy and awesome. Really captures my feelings of mania and how lost in something you can get sometimes
I’m on the most amazing roundabout of music in the history of music and they’re all so prolific! Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I can never get sick of any of them!!!!!
I might catch flack for this but, I had never heard of Ty Segall until the Saints Row Reboot and now I'm going back and listening to the rest of their work. Just found more music to listen to so please don't @me for being late.
Haha same here! I'm having a lot of fun with the game honestly - I particularly like the open world, it's amazingly detailed and is simply fun to traverse and explore. The dialogue doesn't bother me at all because it's clear that the writers are taking the piss - it's _so_ obvious that you're not supposed to think of these people as "cool", and frankly if you think violent criminals are cool you've got issues and no game should be encouraging that. Also I feel like far too many people - particularly conservatives, but almost _everyone_ does it - can't handle their political beliefs being challenged, scrutinised or even slightly questioned, so they immediately cry "it's too political!" or "it's woke!" in response, it's unbelievably pathetic and childish for ostensible adults to behave this way. My only major criticism is that there isn't enough genre variety on the radio stations - ideally there would be dedicated stations for house, pop, folk-rock and new wave/80s pop - but the stations that are there are great, especially Overdrive KVFZZZ 103.3!
This is most excellent Ty. Thank you for the dancing, scathing social critique, and the heavy riff synth drum psych jungle you just set down. Also, I feel your love for emotional mugger, which is one of my favorite and most revisited albums, so when I see those maniacal times creep in, I get really excited. Also, one time you kicked me in the face on a stage dive in Atlanta during the emotional mugger tour, and it really made for a great story. Thank you.
in a world where the music industry is full of fake artists, ty proves once again its authenticity, among other things I like to interpret the final as a parody of the video "the way you use to do" by the queens of the stone age, i don't know why
The album has got a variety of styles from just about every album he's made. It truly might be his best release to date. Wait till you hear it, I guarantee it'll blow you away.
@@rileysmith5289 It's still out there to download if ya know where to look (*cough* it rhymes with Lingdom Keaks "cough*). I couldn't help myself. However, if you do decide to download it I hope you still plan on purchasing it when it's officially released, as it's still worth paying for and Ty absolutely deserves to be compensated for this masterpiece. I know I'm still definitely buying it despite already having it.
Craig Taylor-Broad drop acid and listen to his “Melted” álbum or emotional mugger and I think you’ll swim your way to the other side of the pond young grasshopper
TubTubeTV me too :/ i quite loved his music until Twins. but then.. idk. there are a few songs, but still... (i could still add Fuzz, the band, to make it up for him.) but anyways i guess im loyal to his music and i follow it , so no offense , dear ty
@@MyHeadExplodez I agree man my favroite stuff of his are his old singles and melted as well, but fuzz is super gnarly they need to release something again soon
Hm, reminds me a bit of something like Black Moth Super Rainbow. It's cool to see Ty jumping around all over the place with his albums. I like how Thee Oh Sees have been on a steady cosmic projection with each album they put out, and you would usually expect most artists to do some kind of version of that kind of progression, but Ty's kind of like, dipping his toes in all sorts of rock and roll subgenres and smothering himself in them with each album, which is cool, too. You definitely can't guess as to what he'll do next. 🤟
From a newbie to a long term fan - where do I start with this guy? Quite an overwhelming back catalogue! I'm just glad I discovered him, albeit very late in the day!
Some of my personal favorites are "San Francisco Rock Comp" (2010) and the self-titled 1st LP from 2008 when he was doing the "one man band" thing. "Lemons" (2009), "Melted" (2010), and "Twins" (2012) are also tops. As well as "Slaughterhouse" (2010) and his collaboration with White Fence ("Hair" 2012). Lookit, he's never released a weak album. Period. But I think these are good jump-off points. Cheers!@@benwilliams5760
It's May 14, 2020, and we are about a week away from this being the norm here in the USA. People are getting weird and losing their shit. Love Ty Segall BTW.

The BALLS to make this one of the singles. I love Ty. Living fucking legend.
He must have known he killed it with this one...❤😂🎉 the song, the video, everything...
One of Ty's sickest tracks. Drums are kick ass, and the way the guitars and synths blend is filthy.
The bass!
@@Creaturefiendyo hell yeah, bass is great too.
