This is what rock music is about!
Shit I actually love this song because it embodies Ty's wish for everyone else to start playing music. I'm broke and going through some hard times, but I finally got an electric on Christman been playing every day recently and playing a ton of acoustic/slide guitar for about a year and a half now. I started late as I'm 23 I guess, but I've played a few instruments for a long time now and I really think I can handle this. Love ya Ty. AND THE END SHOWS HOW MUSIC CAN HELP ERASE ALL THE BULLSHIT in life!
It's never too late, go for it!
How's your guitar journey been?
@@estevang.4693 EXTREMELY excellent, holy hell this was almost seven years ago. I still play every SINGLE day (I played for a few years often, but now I rarely miss a day and obsess over it) on the same few guitars, but I've gained a few (Everyone should get an Epiphone). I've met Ty actually... he and his wife are incredibly sweet. Everyone should play guitar, it's an affordable, excellent hobby. Also extra advice, maybe quit drinking everyday if you do because it helped me, and be nice to your significant other because through all the twists and turns six years later they might be the one by your side! Thanks for the comment Estevan, what a throwback, I hope you're doing well!
Gotta watch it till the end
My first reaction was "Wow this guitar sounds gigantic". My first reaction after listening to it on vinyl "Wow it sounds even bigger". Then I read on the sleeve that this is Steve Albini production and I was like "Ok it makes sense"
Albini and Segall, fucking magic!
Criminally underrated band.
that scanners ending is a nice touch

FINALLY!
This song has some giant power chords that are so awesome. This is one powerful guitar sound man. The vocals are kinda like Marc Bolan of T. Rex fame.

Check out an album by Ty Segall called "Ty Rex". You might like it.

LOUD !
LOUDER!
LOUDEST!
Fuckin banger this !
Also for Mikal Cronin fans he was on an episode of the podcast "Hollywood Handbook" recently
I don't see what everyone's complaining about lol. It's not like Ty stopped making good music; he just released a straightforward (but still kick-ass) fuzzy garage rock song - and all good artists need simplicity every once in a while
Fuckin wicked.
ohhh!!
ya do
Pretty fucking sweet video
wow legends only i guess
YEEESSS
Freedom band come to Canada!
PLEEEEASE I'm so sick of artists either not coming here at all, or only coming to Toronto or Vancouver
❤
11!
I didn't know Marc Bolan fronted Black Sabbath??
jaguarsharkman you must be thinking of Yngwie Malmsteen
Bolan? Definitely. Sabbath? Nah.
@@OaksArmorial Fuzz sounds more like Bolan+Sabbath but this is Bolan-esque forsure
Legend has it he fronted Fleetwood Mac w/ Peter Green. Ha lol ah ha.
Legendary riff. Raw, handsome and wicked simultaneously!
don't you just hate it when people start bitching online? :)

Something about this song reminds me of Matthew Sweet.
Why isn't this song at Spotify?
Juan Martinez Viqueira I've been asking this question for a year now..

Fuckin T rex on the vain yeah
En incómodo e insatisfactorio que lo que están tocando los músicos en el video no sea lo mismo que esté sonando :'(
Sounds like Queens of the Stone Age
Sounds like Ty Segall to me.
@@vinyldiary6664 that’s an odd comparison, idk how you got ty segall
@@vinyldiary6664 Whos ty segall? This is John Bonham
Lets spot all of the cameos in the video... Not counting the band I saw Henry Rollins and Jack Black, but I didn't know who the women were. And also I think there were some other cameos hidden in the last shot with the spinning faces etc.
Fred Armisen at the start
Trillium Records Yeah, forgot to write him!
I think the woman in the wedding dress is his wife Denee
Susie I thought that too, but I couldn't tell because it was so little. :)
What? Lol she's ginger, Charlie has light brown hair
So muss das. (^o^)🤟🤟
if you like this you might like my brothers music. His name is Stu Morris
OMG hahaha
burp
Bless you
ohhh i would like this video but that would make the counter 666 !!
Cheap Trick
do I see a Rollins head in there?
This doesn't really sound like garage punk to me - it sounds more like hard rock. I suppose this is Ty's new direction and that's how it's supposed to sound - however I prefer his songs that have more of a garage punk flavor.
wondermint2 he almost seems like a 70's tribute band now
ty hasn't made garage punk in years, he's been moving to anything 70's and British for a good while now
It's true, he keeps getting called "garage rock" but that tag hasn't really suited him since, what, 2011?
It's just rock n roll my dudes no need to think to hard about it just jam
Sounds like Neo Psychedelia to me
looks a bit too much like King Tuff's Black moon spell to me, especially at the beginning
This is better than King tuff.
Gran Turismo Sport
if you like this you might like my brothers music. His name is Stu Morris
fred armisen lol
Henry Rollins and Jack Black?
I like finger better
Jack Black!!! LOL
Where?
Nevermind i found him. What the hell is he doing there though?
Song is not bad till the head exploding in 4:10
YES, It's interesting but it have a terrible annoying sound. like an alarm clock sound that I want to skip it.
Honestly, this is the weakest song on the record for me. It just feels like a tired rendition of something he's already done while everything else moves forward. Still, Ty's worst is better than most artists' best. Great video.
Hm, I can kinda see your point. This album reminds me of Twins in the sense that it really is a grab-bag of different versions of Ty. Break a Guitar seems to me like his big riff sound and frankly I love it. That being said, I really like this album and I think probably the song that stands out the most is Warm Hands or Mr. K. What do you think?
Andrew Rothrock Yeah, I kind of liked him bringing together all of his different sounds on this record. I just feel like he didn't push that heavy sound on this one hard enough. It could have been better had he sat on it just a bit longer. Warm Hands is definitely my favorite on the record though. The whole jam sequence is really cool coming from an artist like Ty.
cct17 I definitely see what you mean, the focus of this album certainly isn't how heavy it is. It is especially not as heavy compared to Emotional Mugger which is a total fuzzfest.
Andrew Rothrock Sorry, I was talking about the heavy sound he seemed to be going for on this song in particular, not the whole album. I've seen it described as the representation of that side of his sound a lot, but I just don't feel it. I really don't mind where he's been going with his sound though, however much I miss the garage punk days. I'm glad he's experimenting a little.
Seriously though, Emotional Mugger was such a wonderful anomaly of an album. Seeing Ty with the Muggers last year was LIFE CHANGING. I was repping the baby mask and everything.
I enjoyed this record but not as much as Emotional Mugger, this is a safer album for Ty, but I do think he wanted to portray his growth from his last self-titled. Warm hands is a step up for him though. There has also been rumors of a more proggy Ty record coming out at the end of this year so this might just be a record to push us over until the next one.
yea, weakest song on the album, but my God, that guitar riff and guitar sound.
George Reagan my favorite because the lyrics are kinda catchy AND THAT INSTRUMENTAL IS INSANELY GOOD
I was made in the rain!
why is even the music that was good 5 years ago becoming just as vapid as everything else.
Corniest shit ever lol
Wow, that was lame.
