i just found out that my dog absolutely loves peanut butter lol.
Please make sure your peanut butter is xylitol free . xylitol is a sugar enhancer that is used in most peanut butters in stores and it can be harmful for dogs to eat . Buy organic peanut butter that is safe for dogs

Done all this! Samson is too smart. He takes it in his mouth and puts it on the floor and roll it around until the pill comes out…he knows he is trying to be tricked…I’ve crushed and put in vanilla ice cream …nope…he wont eat a weenie….doesn’t like peanut butter….he is a min pin 16 years old. He is a smarty…😁
Some dogs are very smart and can identify foreign items in their food, like pills! Sounds like Samson is determined to not want the pills - keep trying different foods he may usually not eat in case he's aware of what his normal food should taste like.

I appreciate you taking time to make this video, but you haven't met my dog. I've tried them all possible the one to crush the pill and add it to that might be the answer, .first, "Greenies" don't work. I bought a pack, nothing. The pill is an antibiotic, capsule, what seemed to work this morning was emptying the capsules into a hotdog, through away the capsule. the problem is how to separate the capsule? I can't believe that the pill manufacture won't do a pill like they do for heartworm medication.P.Cox

If your dog is ill and off food, then treats won't work.
Also if they're ill, then they're going to be intolerant to forcing their mouths open and pushing anything to the back of their tongues. As a one off then you can perhaps get away with it. But, for any long term illness like heart tablets and remembering this awful event will be suspicious of you putting your hands anywhere near them and your once loving pet will hate and despise you and be turned in to the biting dog from hell.
