Me and my buddy would spend weekends at skibowl parking lot sleeping in his 1980 Volvo. We would have to go back to Portland during the week to work which sucked but every Friday we grabbed our camping gear and snowboards and headed to govy
Also we were good at couch surfing employee housing until we got kicked out for sleeping in our car one night when our friend passed out and didn’t answer his door so we slept in the car and got woke up by a couple of douchebags kicking us out
Nitro Snowboards govy used to be a rad town. Back then Charlie’s Mountain View actually had a view and the timeshares and Robert store wasn’t there and windells was still the shamrock motel. Lol the good old days. And nitro snowboards I have been a fan since the late 80s and Damien Sanders was your poster child.
I am between two choices at the moment: Go to College to finish two more years and get a degree to have full-time work at a mountain resort, or stay debt free and live in a camper to live a paddling life all summer, and a snowboarding life all winter until I run out of my energy and go back on the road as a trucker to keep barely living.
@@johnnyc.3261 I am currently a trucker, and feel like I am wasting my youth. I have applied to college to finish a bachelor's degree, since I have an associate's degree already. My passions growing up were water sports and winter sports, and I want to make them a big part of my life again instead of endless miles day after day on the road. I don't make a great living with the company I drive for, and my quality of life is fairly low as a single nomadic man, so that's what I call barely living. It is time for me to make a major change to get my life back, so I am looking at those two options. Dumb, maybe. But true. Thanks for reading, man.
@@TheTWhite Depending on the degree..you could probably do it online and still work at a hill. I'd say split the difference...move to a mountain town for the winter...if you love it pursue your degree...if not trucking will still be there.
@@jonbrown9490 agreed-trucking will always be there. @Trent - try to get the best of both worlds dude as Jon says! and degrees these days-probably not worth the money in my opinion- so do it online for free if possible and if its not free it should be cheaper for sure! It's work experience that counts as much as anything these days anyways! Good luck dude - hope it makes you happy whichever option you pursue :)
He leaves them on the truck when parked at ski resorts - so anyone could come by and borrow one... Honor system. No one ever stole one. There were only a few that broke. - Humans are amazing!
@@@NitroSnowboardsOfficial In South Africa ,everything would be stripped from the truck while you out on the mountain. Amazing video, love the truck and beautiful scenery
i think the truck is awesome and kinda jealous of it. But if his goal was to travel less so he could snowboard more, why not buy a condo on the mountain?
Great job by the filmmaker. This is a nice little piece of art
His name is Jeremy Thornburg - we concur!!! Thanks.
4:34 I like how he just throws the snow he just took off the truck onto the car next to him 😂💀

Definitely neat storing the boards on the outside but I feel like permanent sun exposure isn't good for them.
