  • The USS Texas (BB-35) is a historic battleship that served in both World War I and World War II. Launched in 1912 and commissioned in 1914, it was the first battleship in the United States Navy to be equipped with 14-inch guns.
The USS Texas is known for its significant role in the Normandy landings during World War II, providing fire support for the Allied forces during the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944. The Texas participated in both World Wars and is a symbol of American naval strength and history. Today, the USS Texas is a museum ship, allowing visitors to explore its storied past and learn about the history of naval warfare. Its historical significance make it a popular destination for history enthusiasts and those interested in United States Naval heritage.
