This one goes well beyond a song into a mantra. Lol. I am a christian who has always struggled with my faith. I got saved in high school and immediately got fascinated with predestination, Calvinism, apologetics etc. too confusing for a young Christian. I’ve also always struggled with mental illness. Im not alone or unique in this, but it is my my own history. This song encapsulates so much of that. Truly great reaction. Apologies, I generally don’t share that much but needed to this morning. Thanks
Hey man I'm glad you shared! I'm sure there's not a new Christian out there that hasn't had struggles with faith. When you first become a Christian it's awesome you feel like you have super powers and then after a little while when that new Christian smell wears off you start asking questions. Just ask God to answer any questions you have. He's big enough for us to ask him questions. He'll give you the answers you need when you start struggling in faith weather it's the way you think he'll answer or not.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥........NF passion and aggression when he raps/sings is why some parents consider this 'violent".....this is my all time fave NF track.......just spitting truth and FLAMEZZZZZ #nfrealmusic
I remember when this album came out, I was 14. Its crazy how artists change just as quickly as we do. Im only 20 now and I've listened to him since I started listening to my own music
Tims, black torn jeans, black shirt, black hoodie, black hat and painted smile. That's his style. U keep rocking ur boots. Like he said in the search about preforming and his fake smile. "I look at the crowd and see so many faces, yeah That's when I start to get anxious That's when my thoughts can be dangerous That's when I put on my makeup and drown in self-hatred." Loosely related to the therapy session album was a collaboration he did with futuristic. futuristic got horrible reviews after his 1st album and it sounds in this song that NF kind of changed his style. Also NF talks about how he got into the music industry and coming up in it and why he doesn't do drugs. At the end of their song he and futuristic are sitting in a therapy session. Songs called epiphany.
I genuinely love how real you are with your reactions my friend. I haven't been on your page in a while because I've been busy with life but I'm glad to be back❤
I use to work at Walmart and day I hated working the worst was Sunday. 1. I missed out on going to morning service with my family and enjoying the community aspect of church. 2. The meanest customers I’ve had to suffer through were 70% of the time still wearing their Sunday best coming in at 12pm and being hangry and rude. 3. Several of them would have the attitude of “see kids, this is why you need to stay ing school and church.” When I couldn’t ever get a Sunday off cause they supplied the demand that made it so hard to get a Sunday off. So yeah I agree with your sentiments if just going to church isn’t a cure-all, you actually have to put in work and let god work in you.
Great reaction. I agree with your opinion on the pressure he feels when people tell him his music saved them. Thats got to be tough especially if he's going thru his own struggles. But as you will see he just continues to put out great music time and time again.
I know it sounds like he says "Christian is not the definition of a perfect me", but he actually says "Christian is not the definition of what perfect means". NF tweeted this one day and I was surprised.
I think the only way people could interpret NF as violent is if they just heard the anger in his voice (in some of like his tracks, kinda like this one) or the beat might sound aggressive? I don't agree personally, but if you just heard the music at a glance without actually hearing lyrics maybe it could be interpreted as aggressive
I think a lot of the parents are trying to shield their kids from the realities of depression and anger things like that. So they say oh this music is aggressive it's violent as a reasoning for them to not listen. He not only talks about those things but he talks about dealing with those things.
On the journey with you. I didn't pay attention that I hadn't subscribed yet I usually listen to your NF reactions while I'm working . But definitely subbed
I know the type Trev... sometimes it be like... ''Just found out ya'll not ''perfect''? I'm unsubscribin'... Here's your pamplets. Take 2 of these do confession in the morning and may God have mercy on your soul !!''... In a future track NF has a line where he states... ''I used to judge everybody that wasn't like me till' I learned it was wrong!'' ;)
I'm in my 50's and some people have told me they didn't realize i was that old to which i responded "that's because I act immature" :) Isnt that the way it goes, when you're 26 you kick yourself in the butt to act more mature, when your 53 you laugh and take it as a compliment that someone thinks you're young! I feel like Nate probably had a similar situation that you were talking about with the woman and church. I think because he is considered a "Christian" rapper that some people expect him to sing about God. I'm pretty sure the same woman who accosted you is probably the one who judged NF's music :) I always had the impression that this song is directed toward Christians and most likely Christians within the church. Kinda like NEEDTOBREATHE's song Difference Maker. Side note: If the mood stikes you ... if you ever feel like picking up your bass and playing the parts you are picking up in the background some people might enjoy it because they don't hear music as technically. Just a thought.
I really enjoy your reactions! I know it's not on the NF Journey but it's at the end of this album, "Lost In the Moment" ft. Andreas Moss is a song I think you would like and I hope you react to that one too. Have a blessed day!
I just came across you in my feed, and I love NF, so I watched your reaction to 'The Search'. I really enjoyed it, and now I'm 7 reactions in and still going! One thing I wanted to point out in this song, though, is that the little girl who speaks to him about abuse is saying her mamma was being hit by her daddy, not her. It's still a form of abuse to her, in my opinion, but I just wanted to let you know :) Thanks for putting out these great reactions. I look forward to going back and watching them all! Also, I see you're a Gospel Musician, so I'm hoping to see some of your music as well.
You're 100% right idk how I got that mixed up. I noticed in outro that it was the girls mom not her. I really appreciate you checking out my videos. It really means a lot. Hopefully they all somewhat entertained 😆
Great reaction! Did you catch how he drew the black smile on the mask and spoke about it? Basically people expect him to be happy look happy even when he does not feel that way so he paints that smile on
Can't wait for you to see How Could You Leave Us... You almost cried before, this will almost assuredly get you there. But be ready for it. It's a hard song, but so real and good.
By the way, I'm so excited for you having 11,000 subscribers! I remember I joined when you had about 5k. So proud of you and I look forward to you hitting 50k cuz you will! Guarantee by the end of this year
What I want to say in the situation you asked what do you do? I can't say it here but I'd make sure they feel as much pain as they cause someone else. Show them so much love almost within a inch of their life.
I am so glad I came across your channel! NF and Tom Macdonald is 2 of my top 3 artists together with Falling in Reverse (FIR). Tom Macdonald and FIR was supposed to tour together but was cancelled. Please PLEASE check out "popular monster" by FIR! The singer Ronnie Radke is a genius and videos are worldclass!!
People say he’s violent because people like to put a rapper in 1 category and choose to be ignorant as he sounds aggressive well I say he’s passionate and just expresses his emotions but if these people actually took 3 minutes to listen to his lyrics they would soon understand it’s not violent
Trev, you're too sweet! 11:34 it's OK to call us OLD! 🤣🤣🤣 We EARNED IT and i AGREE, there comes a time when ya gotta GROW UP and quit doin STUPID SHxx!!🤷♀️ ✌️❤️🔥🎶🤗

This is and always will be my fav NF song. Not super related to the song even. Its just.... imagine if i had someone to talk to like that. I cant, 🤷 I can go to a therapist. But i know they'd just tell people. Its their job to take notes about my weakest moments. And just exist holding that? No.
Child services suck!! We tried helping a couple kids, and Child Services didn’t do nothing and the boyfriend murdered a little 4 year old precious girl and he got life and the mom got 15 years for not stopping the abuse. Families get ruined and people suffer anyways.😢
Yeah they definitely never helped in my cases either. They'll be like we'll check on it and then call the family in question and be like we're gonna come meet with you next month in Friday at 1:52 PM and I'm just like bruh anybody can pretend to be good for an hour.
Jesus did not come for the righteous, he came for the broken. The church should be filled with broken people that have found a solution to regain their joy and salvation. Also. No one persons sin is greater or lesser than another…ALL have fallen short of the glory of God and are given grace if they chose to follow him. God bless you my man and continue you person journey in Christ! Seek him first and he will guide you to the fellowship you need.
The Bible doesn’t say you have to go to church to go to Heaven all you have to do is accept Jesus in your heart and accept that he died on the cross for your sins

That’s awesome
When you said you were 26, it reminded me of an NF bar, " I'm 26 but feel like I live in chapter 1"
He doesn't wear that fake smile anymore. Like I told you before I saw him in 2021. He did that during his Therapy Session & Perception tours.
Ahhh okay that's cool he's growing I guess

I know it sounds like he says "Christian is not the definition of a perfect me", but he actually says "Christian is not the definition of what perfect means". NF tweeted this one day and I was surprised.
WOW that makes it even more fire
Its ok to smile now and then. I know his music is deep and some on the dark side of life. But you can still enjoy yourself.

Parents see him as dark and rap about his life and parents hate the idea that their kids relate because they the parents are then so great.
