    Great video. I did a cam chain etc. on a 94 BMW six and it was remarkably similar to this . Noted in this video some bolts are stretch bolts - I may have missed it but did you get new stretch bolts ? Am glad to see the engine does not need to be lifted to do the job . Glad you used a complete kit with all new gears . Seen folks put new chain on old gears - will rattle like crazy in less than 10K miles . Wish I did not know that. Even at $2K for the repair the mechanic earns their pay if doing it right.

      I did this job for a friend so I didnt even charge that much. I did replace all the stretch bolts and I agree with replacing the gears, you definitely need to do this job right to save money in the long run. Thanks for watching!

    Any update on how the phasers and chain are holding up? Assuming they’re the aftermarket ones you listed in the description from Amazon!

    I have a 17 expedition with 210,000 mi on it and I haven't had any issues yet so I'm going to go ahead and do the timing job before anything happens

      I will be working on the full length timing chain replacement with torque specs and tightening sequences and can have it live within the next 10 days. That video will take a second due to details. I would definitely replace it while everything is fine. Let me know if you have any questions during the repair

    What's the time frame for this job,Thanks in advance

      16-20 hours all together. I spread the entire job out over 3 days so I didnt exhaust myself. First day was strip down and be prepping for install the next day, 2nd day replacement, 3rd day put it all back together and test. Alot of work but ALOT of money saved as well. Thanks for watching

    Why did you not replace the oil pump belt?

    • @Sellthoseflippingcars
      @Sellthoseflippingcars  10 місяців тому

      The oil pump belt, as in the serpentine belt? Because that is the only belt I didnt replace with this engine. I didnt replace it because the customer stated they didnt want it replaced. Thanks for watching!
