I've been using mine almost daily for about 4 years now and they have slowly disintegrated over time. All of the cords are cracked in several places (lots of electrical tape), the rubber is peeling off the battery, the button controller no longer works ..... but the noise cancelling still works and they still sound fantastic. Not sure if I'll buy the exact replacements cause in Canada these things are almost $400 bucks with taxes nowadays ..... and for $400 bucks I want my headphones to be around and working correctly for more than 4 years. They do sound great though.
I've had my QC20i for 3 years (got 'em for my birthday) and I would not recommend them. The sound is great and they are comfortable, BUT, my QC20i generates a buzzing sound from the left earbud when plugged into my iMac and when recharging. So I have to use my Apple ear buds when using on my computer. I never use these for anyting else other than listening to music indoors, so I dont sweat in them, so they are well cared for but I am still having problems. I dont think the QC20i are all that robust for the price. Good sound, but sub-standard build quality. I found that after about 18 months the ear buds began clicking and was told it was because the batteries although rechargeable need to be replaced. Never again Bose - sorry.
did the wire all crack up after all the use?I had a pair of Bose early IE models. The wire cracked up in the end, exposing the copper inside. It is not a pleasant sight.
I have mine a year ago and I haven't had any issues with the wires. Just don't drop them. Regarding other issues sometimes I get worried about the battery's life cycle, Bose says it will last up to 500 charges and I use this earphones a lot, anyway, nothing lasts forever right?
Yeah but if you use nc while charging, you hear some buzzing noise, it's not that big of a deal, you won't notice it sometimes. If ypu turn off noise cancelling you wont hear it anymore but i like more that buzzing sound than white noise from outside😂
Um is maybe your most repeated non word coming in at my count 50 times during video ....dude use a pause instead of Um other than that your video was well made and informative

How to wrap the wire and put it into the carrying case? I got some creases on the wire at one side of the battery
i have been very careful not to put too much stress on the cord where it connects to the battery... kind of a strange design..
the wind noise can be very irritating
sorry bout that.
lol, i am not talking about you. i just meant that when its windy, you can hear loud wind noise.
ah yes of course, you are right. bumps and cars sometimes and wind can make a very strange sound in the headphone
