Let me just praise each and every part of Hoseok in this album!! each rap, vocal is so different from each other. the flow is so beautiful. Also, the fact that he is finally getting recognized for his participation in the making of the album. He always participates a lot but this time finally, he is getting recognized for it. I'm rewatching this now before MOTS:7 comes out and it's just reminding me of last year and how amazing this time was ugh I cant wait for the album to come out 😭
I believe that a majority of this album is about self realization...We all know that kpop idols definitely don't have a "normal lifestyle" and Bts definitely had an abnormal teenage life as trainers so Im GUESSING they didn't really get a lot of time to you know figure things out as a teenager and about themselves. Being an idol is really hard as you have to put on a good image all the time ( like a mask) and sometimes the mask or the alter ego is extremely different from your true self (the one you don't show to the public or outside world) For example the image I show or the way I act at school/work is different from you know me sitting at home binging shows and eating ramen in my messy hair and underwear - you get the idea XD). That is basically what RM’s solo piece ‘Intro : Persona’ is about. Its about his personal growth. He is bringing up all his self doubt and "flaws" while asking the fundamental question of ‘Who am I?’ and trying to figure out the gap between his true self Kim Namjoon and RM. ‘Mikrokosmos’ ( linked to a cycle of piano songs by bartok) paints the world through human interest or seeing the small universe in someone's eyes (like Serendipity). In ‘HOME’, BTS finds refuge where their fans are. Its like a feel good song for armies ‘Jamais Vu’ is a unit song by j-hope, Jin, Jung Kook. Jamais Vu is french and is translated as "never seen" (also linked to a disorder of memory, in which someone who doesn't recognize famililliar things or even people (similar to the feeling I got from euphoria wonder). ‘Dionysus’ (greek god of wine and ecstasy) gives debut hip hop vibes. According to the website Greek Gods and Godesses Dionysus "was often called Eleutherios, meaning 'the liberator,' because his wine, music, and ecstatic dance freed his followers from self-consciousness and the restraints of society.
