The hardest part of Pulsatile Tinnitus from the patient's perspective is finding physicians and clinics who know what it is and what to look for. Looks like we need to visit New York.
Exactly
True Ben, I have visited ENT doctors and most of them don't understand it making it difficult to treat.I too think getting the right physician is a challenge especially for patients with pulsatile tinittus.
Exactly
Exactly right. I feel like I’m being totally ignored by both GP’s and the ENT consultant who looked at me blankly and said “do you want me to book an MRI or MRA?” I paid £250.00 for that. The problem with this situation is that it’s stressful trying to solve this and stress exacerbates any tinnitus.
Exactly it is a very difficult task to find a doctor in odisha
Thank you Dr Boddu for making this in simple terminology. Great presentation
Nice job Doctor, makes a lot more sense to me now.
I have had pulsatile tinnitus for over 6 years now.
I was diagnosed AVM fistula, one of the largest three neurosurgeons that consulted together on my condition had seen. I also was diagnosed with a glomus tumor as well as the time.
I have had 5 embolizations over that time, but none have helped...other than cutting off the flow of blood to the tumor with one of the early procedures. The last one I went through with approximately 3 years ago ended up having a complication that caused paralysis to my right vocal cord, right swallowing muscle and right soft palate. I had no voice for over 4 months and had to go to speech therapy to get what I have now back. This also caused me to choke on food and aspirate it into my sinuses when it was at its worst...cutting off my ability to take in air.
It's now worse than it's ever been. The pulsing is obviously constant, but the sound has increased in volume within the last 6 months. I also have always felt the sensation of the pulsing, as well as the pain and constant headaches from the ballooning vessels of the fistula.
People who don't have this just don't have an idea how debilitating this is. Getting through the day is tough enough, dealing with work and trying to do anything productive even more difficult. Sleeping is limited, rarely restful and I wake up throughout the night from the pulsing. I've been trying for the last 6 months to get my primary to give me a referral to get a second opinion, to which he's refused (he wants me to go back to my previous neurosurgeon). I tried recently to get other associates in his practice also to and have been unable to get them to either. I'm very close to my wit's end most days.
Be well soon ,I have it 4 years horrible symptom, look for Julian Cowan brilliant on you tube, helping people for nothing for years, best wishes from limerick Ireland 🇮🇪
Sorry to hear about it. Sad. Terrible even. Hope for peace and quiet and ability to sleep
The Best video I have even.
Thank you Dr Boddu. By far the easiest explanation of PT I've seen.
I've suffered from relentless PT 24/7 for 4 years. Initially unilateral, now bilateral. It's life-destroying.
Ive had MRI, CTAV, Ultrasound scans. All supposedly clear. Diagnosed as having "somatic PT".
I'm at a loss as to what to do now. 😢
I have been suffering from tinitus and now am convinced I have pulsatile tinitus. The sound my ear goes along with my heartbeat. I have visited ENT doctors and I think it's not a condition in the ear it has to do with blood vessels .The ENT checked my ear and said it's fine yet I hear the pulsatile tinnitus. I think I should have a chat with this doctor ,seems to understand this condition very well.
Thank you!
OMG I’ve had Pulsatile Tinnitus for 12 years! Each and every day night only goes away when im sound asleep..this is a wonderful podcast.
Thank you Dr !
hi, how do you manage to survive with this horrible whooshing noises daily?? I get it intermittently since a week now and i'm already depressed ;( please suggest can we habituate to this??
I'm from iraq and I have pulsatile tinnitus.. please how I can treat it. And where

I am facing the issue with vascular tinnitus

I have pulsatile Tinnitus on one side (left) My MRA and ultra sound of my neck veins were negative, no hearing loss and no sinus issues. My ENT doctor has suggested a possible TMJ damage to a nerve? any comment on that possibility? Nerve not vein causing pulsatile tinnitus? Thank you!
my ENT also said the same
i couldn't even get my ENT to do an MRI
DOES EXERCISES HELP FOR PULSATILE TINNITUS
Dr. Akintola mercy is good, he cured me of Tinnitus, so terrible.

Can medication cause this like Amiltripine or Ibrufen, because I've been on these due to 2 bulging discs and since taking them I've now got Pulsating Tinnitus!! Hopefully it will stop now I've stopped the meds.

I experience pulsatile tinnitus along with episodes of lightheadedness and blackouts when I go from sitting/laying to standing. Could it be what was mentioned, idiopathic intracranial hypertension? My sound is a whooshing sound so I would fit the artery category.
Your situation is exactly like mine. I can hear my heartbeat when I stand from a seated position. Also, I experience episodes of lightheadedness and blackouts. Also, I can hear my heartbeat in the ears when I'm moving around a lot or working out intensely.
@@octane4520 Hi Arc, please get an MRI done to rule out an aneurysm or any stenosis. Look for an ENT professional who will order the scan and who knows about PT. Luckily for me I live within 100 miles of Silicon Valley and found an ENT there who ordered the scan. It came back normal with unremarkable results.
However I have yet to find out what exactly is causing my symptoms and doc seemed to stop caring or trying to help me after the MRI.
@@Monica-gu2bg I'll be getting a scan soon. Gotta find an ENT
Btw, does pulsatile tinnitus affect your sleep? In my case, it doesn't as I don't hear any heart beat sounds when I'm at rest. I only hear it when getting up from a standing position, moving around a lot or exercising. The heartbeat lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. Is it exactly the same way you are experiencing? Like the way I described it?
@@octane4520 No it does not affect my sleep, the swooshing sound usually happens when I position my torso at certain angles (if I am bending, or not completely laying). It also happens along with the dizziness when I go from sitting/laying to standing. For some time, I experienced a different but constant sound on the opposite ear. It didn't matter if I was active or not I could hear it and it was driving me nuts. Thankfully it went away. My PT symptoms are better now that I am taking iron supplements (I am somewhat anemic). But I also stopped my weight training routine and started to lift light weights only, and light cardio. What type of exercise do you usually do?
@@Monica-gu2bg I do moderate intensity workouts. 5× days a week.
Also, good to hear you're recovering. Were you diagnosed with anemia?
Also, do you still experience blackouts and lightheadedness when standing up?
Cured of Tinnitus 🙏👉Dr. Akintola.

Definitely not all doctor are great, none are God. Only Jesus.
After many failed attempts with other brands, I finally found this brand. Weedborn products are the best and I don't think I will ever need to look for another CBD supplier. I would recommend for practically any health problem.
