I think it's actually absurb that Niantic is charging so much for these events. $100 to experience the full experience of PoGo fest just comes off as greedy. Sounds like Niantic is hoping that since they released the dates for PoGo fest, those that are protesting the limited remote raid and the remote raid prices are going to be forget. I'm not suggesting anyone should boycott the event, but I do think it's important to remind Niantic that they're screwing over players who depend on remote raids for PoGo fest.
Boycott or not, those same people will be putting in the most money. I'm a day one player, and with all the changes, I haven't seen any different in my area. Remote raids held the game back for a long time and now we can all cram into a couple cars and hit raids again!
@@SoulessCreation My experience is the opposite. Remote raids made it possible for the handful of local players to actually get out and raid. Now it’s back to no one out playing, no one showing up for raid hour… 😢
Niantic’s main source of revenue is tickets. By far. It makes sense for them to sell these, since if they didn’t, they would make a fraction of what they do right now.

Actually what would probably make it a Go fest is releasing some more Gen 8 and and release Gen 9 pokemon.
I’m glad they let you preorder the shirts; now there won’t be a 100+ person line clogging up the park at all times.
Aug 26-27? You can not tell me Niantic hates the players. Late August is hotter than hot and some kids are back in school.
Is Trainer tips doing a dj set anywhere? Any suggestions for best (basic) area to stay? Randell park doesnt have hotels and Harlem might not be the top pick. Suggestions?
Diancie is the 15$ Pokémon. The clues are in the logo
I’ve never done a Pokémon go fest. What can you do if you don’t pay for the ticket but are doing it globally, and what’s the point of buying a $15 global ticket
Yeah for London. Live next to a Brockwell park. Fall out of bed into the park 😂
I see you with Pokémon on Game Boy Color turned on in the background!!! 🎉🎉
Going to the London one, first time ever (been playing since 2016)
So if I purchase for New York, I also have to purchase a Global Fest ticket seperately? Wasn't it combined last year?
No
I only live 2 hours from London, but I've already been to London twice in the last 9 months.
As much as I'd like to go, I dont think I want to make it 3 trips to London in one year 😂
I wouldn’t even hesitate!! I’m envious
🤨
@@AmyWiedy To Brits London is a horrible place to visit, unless you have a very good reason. It's really just a tourist spot, these days.
@Thurgosh to be fair, it's a completely different part of London.
So it'd still be a relatively new experience 🤔
I live in London :)
OMFG! It's finally come to New York @ Randall's Island. I cannot wait.
I’m not falling for the lackluster global event this year.
As a Londoner, I’d appreciate it more if the lesser dense cities get the event
GO FEST NYC 2023 LETS GOO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT
Larvista hatch from 2K eggs will give least Larvista candies and XL candies. Larvista hatch from 5K eggs will give mild Larvista candies and XL candies. Larvista hatch from 10K eggs will give most Larvista candies and XL candies. These are the differences.
Called it! Hope to see you in New York!
I hope that you don't waste your money on something that wouldn't be as fruitful.
@@pokechannel9758 I hope you don't waste your time thinking that what I use my money on is any of your business. 💁♀️
@@writingishard6112 I hope that you don't waste your time thinking that niantic thinks what the players want from the money they invest into the game.
@@pokechannel9758 lmao that sentence makes no sense. Seriously dude. Not trying to be rude but I didn't ask for your opinion. If you don't want to spend your money on going to the event that's your business. You don't have to go around hating on other people who find value in something that you don't. Also it's not just about the game. I'm going to New York to see my friends.
Keep up the amazing content!
Not gonna spend 100+ euros to get a passport to go to london, then pay another 100+ for transport and 30-50 for ticket stuff. Sad this isn’t more mainstreamly available for other europeans
2 GO Fest on the same day is about to be literally broken, they can’t even get the the game working right away with one, let alone 2 simultaneous.
i’d love to travel but it’s so expensive 😢 a drive to Seattle to play global go fest sounds just as nice though :)
Thanks for the good luck, I need it 😂
Can't wait to see your travel video, the parts I love the most are in the next one 👀
Take care Nick 😊
Hope I get to see you in Japan, Nick!! I won’t be able to go to Osaka and most likely not Worlds, either. But I hope still to see ya🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
this is becoming overwhelming
I’m going to Randall’s Park. It is just 30 minutes from home. 😁
Finally a GoFest in NYC, too bad I'm moving out of state. LOL
But will it work?
Started a campfire chat for London Go fest at the location, feel free to join for meet ups, arrange friendships and trades. Looking forward to meeting players from around the world.
Figures they finally do a NY event and I no longer live there, lol. I guess Central Park was too expensive or they couldn't get the permits to run it there after the craziness of 2016 and Vaporeon. I'll see if I can swing a trip back up there for this. I don't think there's a subway to Randall's Island so would have to get an uber or the wonderful NYC bus lol
Allegedly, the MTA runs X80 and X81 with "expanded capacity" for major events.
Working on the average exchange rate and adding ukVAT, the UK tickets should be about £24/£29, so Niantic are profiteering again.
I'll be in Japan that weekend for my wedding, guess we're honeymooning with Pogo
Pokémon GO Money Fest
"Do you want to log on? 1$"
Way cool Nick Thank you for sharing 😊‼️‼️‼️
When you already live in NYC :)
Randall's Island is a tricky Park to get to.
I can definitely do NYC, but I will never take off work and spend large amounts of money on a game somewhere where I would actually like to enjoy the sites and spend time with family and or friends and not spend a weekend in my phone
Which one are you going to Trainer? and other people, interested in where yall are playin
I think I’m gonna go to the new York one because it’s only ab an hour away from me and I could just chill in nyc
5:29 you can spend up to 100 dollars AT BKK HAVE IT YOUR WAY (i got a perfectly timed burger king ad)
Maybe Global - August 26-27 for me. Where is Niantic going to send you?
Wonder why August and not the usual June
Randall park is an uh… interesting choice
Does the in person ticket include the global one?
Probably not 😅
The one day ticket with the city wide experience add on sounds amazing
The raid, hatching, and city wide seems more sense for japan and New York I’m not sure about London
2:07 Early bird ends on June 15
The mythical pokemon is Diancie. Look at the Go Fest 2023 logo. Little pink gems makes it pretty obvious.
Do we know if we buy a ticket to New York will we get the global ticket as well? Don’t want to have to buy both
