- Taking the Honda GL 1800 Trunk Lid off so I can repair the cracks (caused by a phucking Kuryakyn luggage rack installed by the previous owner) over the winter.

I’m in the process of putting mine back on after getting it back from the painter. Had the holes filled and repainted the lid. Same exact issue with a different crap aftermarket rack!
I took hacksaw to pieces of ABS pipe. Placed pieces in jar with lacquer thinner. Caped jar let set over nite! Mixed compound is black but turns rock hard when applied to backside surfaces!
Good to hear from you Sir...
***** Thanks for stopping by for a look JE.
Nice little Winter time project.
Tim's Man Blog Should be able to knock it out before spring ;-)
Nice Goldwing and nice color. I can tell on my Harley trunk it wouldn't take much to crack it. I guess they didn't want to add weight by making it thicker.lol.
TheRedneckRailRoad Thanks for stopping by.
I'm curious how to go about a repair like that. Maybe plastic weld with abs rod....
Velvethamma I'm doing some research before I tackle it.
Nice Goldwing, lots of snow in your videos, are you in the USA?
Chris Caliente Thanks Chris, I'm in Manitoba Canada where snow is inevitable every year and it stays from about Nov to Mar so we have about a 6 1/2 month riding season.
Here in Memphis, Tennessee we only had two weeks of snow, but you can almost ride all year around,
nice bike. jb weld with a big flat washer to back up.
finpainter1 Thanks... that could work.
nice bike bud! lot of nuts and screws to get er off
***** Thanks, I think I might have dropped a screw or two.
Cool
wtbm123 Too cool to ride now.
Plastic weld?
iceman22st That's one of my possible plans of attack.
Watch out that little spoiler could have 2 sided tape holding it on........could be a bear to get off!
tomswonderfulworld I'll keep that in mind when I take a closer look.
that sucks that it got broken..CJ
CountrySideClub I guess it could be worse, not missing any big pieces.
I think a new bike is in order... can't be riding one with a cracked trunk lid sir.
***** Ah damn... I just changed oil, now I need a new bike ;-)
I couldn't watch the whole clip, the camera was jerking and no explaination of what was going on. Very poor vedio
+Freddie Ray I couldn't watch any of your videos Freddie....OH! you don't make videos do you. Have a great day.
