Neal, don't want to leave his box..... Because he is on 200 year old science, and the government won't ALLOW him to work on the cutting edge because that is reserved for military weapons.... So there's your science is a leader.... A scientist AINT a leader!!!

Yeah because I think the humor is more interesting to Neil than his ego in those moments. Theo is really good at making people feel comfortable. I find it kind of disgusting actually. A whole lot of people in this World die from all kinds of nasty ways every day . I think thats a nasty way of thinking about human death. Most people on this planet dont have the luxury of "Trying to save humanity" they just want something to eat and somewhere safe to sleep. Its like recycling...sure we can all do our part but even if we do thats like 5% of the pollution thats created by these massive corporations and their fleets of private jets and stakes in mines and oil and everything else. They love to tell the masses that its "on us" to do something. Its a joke, its on "Them".

I think it's the person usually. He jives with some interviewers better than others. I hope he doesn't go on Joe's podcast ever again, if he does I'm not listening. I realized it's not Niel who annoys me in the conversation between the 2, it's Joe. Because Joe thinks he's a fvkin scientist and forgets he's a comedian, and turns into the annoying student in class that's just trying to disturb the teacher... I like joe, it just depends on who he's interviewing, usually the science type people I really don't fw his interview's with them lately..ever since he moved to Austin, he always tries to turn some sht into a debate with the science people these days, idk wtf is going on with Joe because he used to not be like that. On star talk Niel has a comedian as a co-host a lot and it has been working well for years, and Theo kind of has a similar style of the guy on star talk, can hang with what Niel says, but doesn't try to overstep as if he knows more about astrophysics or science sht than Niel does.

They don't even know what 'interior happiness' is! Interior happiness, in case you don't know, is when a person is truly happy with his life and laughs easily at things. Some people are okay with that and others actually find it alarming... Because to them you actually can be a psychopath. No sh*t bro! The thing can go from one side of the spectrum just like that! From light to dark bzzzt EVERYTIME I met a Russian, and I was very happy to meet them, they ALL asked "Why are you laughing? What's funny?". I love this interaction. Way less awkward then the interactions between Neil and Joe Rogan. Joe is always trying to be the smartest guy in the room, and while he is incredibly intelligent, his clash with Neil can get awkward at times. Theo has a way with people (except Bill Burr LOL), where he can just make chill but smart comments and people work with it and feel comfortable. For example, his chat with Louis CK was excellent. Louie seriously appeared to be having a great time and even complimented Theo in several occasions. Keep them coming Theo.

I've often stressed the same thing myself when people create these artificial, man-made categories and try to make reality fit them. Education, for example, likes Bloom's taxonomy or hierarchy for learning. Not only does this not accuracy explain how people learn, but education pedagogy oversimplifies what Bloom said to begin with. All categories are arbitrary, human creations. They do not reflect reality. I enjoyed this interview. I found myself laughing throughout.

neil is a super rigid thinker. this is why he did well in school and can talk science facts all day. he can hear something, re-gurgitate it, and recite it. most scientists are rigid thinkers (although neil is not a practicing scientist). very few of them are willing to imagine the things they might not have been taught. this is what defines the great ones like Feynman, Heisenberg, Gell Mann, Schwinger, etc.
