Just ordered it for $1008.98 total (with your coupon). Thanks. It just came down $20 for some reason. It was $118.99 before your code and your code brought it down -$17.85. Thanks again!
I just ordered this camera yesterday. Thanks for giving good clear descriptions without getting too technical.
How are u liking the cam? Been looking at this on Amazon..
I received this camera today and I’m very pleased with how it works. Thanks again for providing a great review and coupon. I’ll be purchasing my FPV stuff - probably around Christmas 🎄- and I’ll definitely try to use your site to save money and offer my support. 😎👍👍
DUDE thank you!!! This is great! I need a good action cam to put on my fpv drone! Nice demo!
Awesome video. I have made several videos on the Akaso V50 Pro and love what Akaso is doing for the money. I'll have to check this one out now. I have to agree too, that the camera view is more narrow than a GoPro, even in it's wide view. But for the price, it's definitely worth it. Thank you again for an awesome video.
I have been researching this camera lately and finally someone puts it on a drone! Thank you for the great review!
Glad I could help!
Perfect for my budget ! Definitely getting it . Thanks for the review
Thank you for putting the unboxing at the end instead of the beginning! I hate sitting through an unboxing before I even know if I'm interested in something. Great video. I've got on of these on the way to serve as a second cam to my Gopro.
Thank you for the comments Michael.
Thanks this looks like it will be great for filming my hunts this year as a second angle. great video I purchased through your Affiliate link!
Thanks for a great review. I just ordered through your channel and the discount dropped the price to $118 - WOWZERS😱😎👏👏👏
Great review. I might be getting one of these very soon!
Capt, your review above is amongst the best I have seen, addictive, and with clear voice. Great presentation.
Wow, thanks!
The DJI was surprisingly over exposed when you did the bright sunlight test, the Akaso handled the bright sunlight much better with a lot less whiteout, who'd have thought it.
Nice video presentation, i just ordered myself one yesterday. And looking forward to use it when we do pumpkin picking on a rainy day tommorow! All the best to u! ☺
Great job as usual captain! Totally agree with your assessment. This is a great little camera!
Thank you for this great videos. Honestly I think the image from the Akaso looks great. I think it’s worth buying
Veeery nice video Captain! I like your neighbourhood too, it seems very nice to me. Nice car🚗! You showed us all a lot, very worthful!!!
Picked one up as well, going to post some test footage from mountian biking soon. It's taken some tinkering and the stabilization definitely doesn't stand up to the dji or gopro. It works and for the price it's extremely well built. For vlogging and just walking and stuff it would be a great camera, but upgrading to a hero 8 in the near future due to the stabilization. Great review!
Nice job Captain Drone. I really love your videos. You do a great job. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much!
I would likely never shoot at night, so this is a great camera! That drone footage is awesome! And the Traxx 4x4 RC footage- was really good for that price camera! Would be great for my mountain biking videos and kayaking! Great review! Excellent job!
Great review, positive information and for someone who needs a camera but cant spend the extra $, you gave a great option.
VERY COOL ! And looks like a good price point !!
Thanks again Captain.
And this thing can do a lot !!
Very cool camera !
Maybe next up- you can show us how this can be mounted on a drone ?
Always good info, Captain,
Thanks,
Wulfy
I am so glad that I found this excellent, informative and detailed review even if it’s a few years old! I just purchased the entry level AKASO EK 7000 which I like a lot. The Brave 7 LE will be my next purchase. I find myself really excited about the AKASO brand of action cameras, and really don’t find it necessary to spend hundreds of dollars more for a camera that practically has the same performance and less accessories. I don’t know if you’re still posting video content like this, but I have subscribed anyway. Thank you again.
Thumbs up ere' Captain, great price for action camera. Many thanks for sharing the info :)
Just bought the v50 elite, then saw the review of this one and had to get that one as well.
Another well made video 👍👍👍👍👍
I was so impressed Steve that I purchased one along with an Osmo Pocket for my new blogging Chanel I will be launching soon in the UK. Thanks for sharing.
Superb review, thanks!
Great review. One of the most thorough reviews in this genre I've seen! I'm now a subscriber
Welcome aboard!
GREAT REVIEW. I just purchased one, looking forward to using it. As you say for the price you pay it will meet my needs perfectly.
Wow I love this action camera. And I love the way you discuss this camera you are amazing thank you
thank you captain for putting so much effort in this review. YOU NAILED IT😁👍🏼
Much appreciated!
My son received his Akaso Brave 7 LE from his mom and me this Christmas. Early signs are that it is a very good camera indeed for its budget price. Having read and listened to a number of reviews, we decided to buy him the Akaso, the price being the major factor. Well aware the Gopro and Osmo are by far better cameras but the prices reflect that.
Akaso Brave 7LE is not to be ignored!
How is it faring now?
First time I ever heard a higher price made something better lmao
Excellent review, main points needed covered, no waffle, good shots & edit, subscribed. Add timestamps for sections in blurb & you'll get million subs. 👍
I just purchased me one of these because you made a good point on how high quality this is for the price and I was needing a new action cam and the duel screen is a plus thanks Captain Drone
Good job Capt., thanks for your work.
I am new to all this and I so appreciate the quality of your explanations and your wonderfully succinct video!
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for a great video, Steve. I've ordered mine through your link and look forward to seeing what this can do. For the money, it definitely looks like a good deal!
Hope you enjoy it!
What a fantastic video!!!
Great review as always!👍🇨🇦
Great video, you put a lot of work into your videos and it shows!!!
I appreciate that!
Fantastic detailed review as always Steve... Best wishes to you for the New Year..👏👏☘
Happy new year!
Best review of Akaso brave 7le in UA-cam sofar.
Thanks
Thank you for the review. Just put my order in. The discount code took off $21 dollars! Woo-hoo!!!
For $118 it’s even better lol I get mine today
Excellent video thank you
great review thanks 🎉🤗i want to get this now 🤗
Seems like an overall good value and I came close to buying one, but after watching a bazillion YT reviews on generic action cams I've come to the conclusion that really good sharpness, dynamic range, flat grading profile, and very smooth stabilization (beyond just walking) only comes from the big names. For $199 the DJI Osmo Action with spare battery on Amazon now has fewer compromises. It's older, but overall still comparable to the GoPro Hero8. I felt that was worth the extra $. If I get around to configuring my jumper mulitiprotocol TX I might slap it on my old 5" quad...
Nice review CD!
Thank you for the discount I just bought it. Can’t wait to try it out
Cool! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Can you download the video’s and pictures from the camera when in the app when connected over WiFi to the phone?
Great review, Cap! I recently bought my first action cam, a Crosstour for only about $35, and it's worth every penny! LOL, no, it works OK and for the price no problemo. This Brave 7 sounds like it might be my next purchase. No way would I ever pay for a DJI Osmo thing. Well, not until I make my first million, anyway.
Haha, I just ordered the Dji osmo action, if you do your research like I have been doing you’ll find the osmo has dropped in price and is a whole lot better than the akaso
damn! this IS good! I hope I could purchase one this year.
Nice camera in a very sensible price.
If I wouldn't have GoPro 8 Black already then I would definitely wanted to try this Akaso.
I truly value your videos.
Thanks for reviewing this reasonably priced action camera Steve ! The RC hobby is expensive enough, so thrifty alternatives are welcome 😉
Very true!
So I purchased one on Amazon and got it today ( the Akaso Brave LE ). Amazon sent me a special offer so I got it for $119. Wow what a great little Action Camera. It is just as you described. You get a lot for your money. Very high quality in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing!
I use this same one, love it for recording my hikes
Thank you Captain for every video you put out is on the money , I just bought the Akaso off your link.
Hope you enjoy it!
Very impressive for the price. If I still ran action cams on my quads i'd give it a shot , but I just switched to the dji fpv system
Capt, you failed to mention the most important feature...that 1/4" mounting is worth 100$ sometimes but to have it on there in the first place is very nice. Thanks
Thank you Captain, qq, can you unscrew the lens protector to use Osmo Action's ?
Thanks for sharing
I don't think so.
Seriously considering one of these as a secondary camera for the motorbike... I think as a secondary where you're not worried about the audio, this could be a fantastic camera
Sir, You are great. It is a full pledged video. SUPER.
Looks great! I see the Brave 7 is on its way way for $149.99 and interestingly EIS 2.0. I think I’ll hold off until April to see some reviews
Outstanding review!
Thank you kindly!
I bought two to do documentaries (when gas is cheaper) and for stop motion animation. Talk about multi-use. I didn't know it had time-lapse as I just got them from Amazon for Father's Day yesterday. Thanks for showing the review. I also bought Movo wireless lavaliers to make up for the poor sound capture. I get two mic transmitters to one receiver which is perfect for traveling, interviewing, and filmmaking. For anyone serious about filmmaking, you should have separated sound from the camera - the poor sound quality wasn't a big deal for just this reason. My Nikon DSLR can't do most of the stuff this does and I was able to buy two, and the lavs for about 20% of the DSLR. Now that's budget filmmaking. Add good lighting and it's a done deal. Thanks for this simple video. You sold me.
this camera rocks it along w you review thanks
Thank you
If you review something, whether its a drone or FPV or action camera, you are still the great person who ia doing it. Great review again Cap
Thank you
I'm convinced now, i'm gonna buy akaso brave 7.
Awesome camera for the price. I bought an Akaso V50 pro SE about a year ago and am very happy. Maybe now buyers will see how GoPro are ripping everyone off with their crazy prices. And what you get with a GoPro. Nice one Steve.
Excellent video editing, composition and a pleasant performance. I assume by now that you have figured out that the narrower field of view on the Brave 7 is caused when you have image stabilization turned on. That's because the Akaso uses software to analyze each frame and adjust the composition to minimize camera shake and this operation reduces the field of view slightly to accomplish the same. I put up some motorcycle videos and came to the same conclusions, great camera for the price, perfectly acceptable performance for a camera at this price point, pretty disappointing audio.
I would love to know how or if you were able to use the external mic with the Brave 7 or did I misunderstand that demonstration ?
You cannot use an external mike with the akaso, that is the big let down that he failed to mention
Great review. Yours is the only one I've seen on the 7 LE that mentions the remote is rechargeable.
Glad I could help
thank u for the review.. how long will it take before the battery get drain?
Thank you so much Captain drone, I think it’s really nice action camera comparing to it’s price, what about timelapse on this action camera? Thank you so much again for sharing this useful video 💐
That is one Cool ass piece of work, the price is pretty low for a camera of that stander. Hop you have lots of funn with it Steve. And I will be telling a lot of my friends about it too so I thank you for letting us know the ins and outs for Drones as as well as the way you showed us the way the wea thing will look like in all tipe tiyp of light. All the best from Scotland my friend and Staay Blesst Freind. Tickty Boo. 🏴💢
Cap, I bought the 4 & 7LE because of your excellent videos! I subbed a couple weeks back & have a question. How do you activate that front screen on 7LE? Thank you! You're very articulate, easy to understand! Well done all!
Good review. My primary criticism is that you put music to the outside car/rc/drone videos and I would have preferred the ambient audio.
I just ordered this for $112+tx from Amazon.
I am planning to pick up the Akaso V50 Pro. I like the Brave but have seen a comparison and for my kayaking, that is the one I want.
Just picked one up dirt cheap to add to the collection of Gopro's and Osmo's. Honestly, the tighter field of view will fit in quite nicely.
Oh man you sold me i just bought a used gopro 4 black but i am living this akaso
I've a quick question. I was going to get one but on another review someone said when they put the micro sd card into their Apple Computer that it was reading the card in slow motion? I've a MacBook Air laptop. Granted it could've been a defective sd card to an older OS for the user's computer. In your opinion have you heard of any computer read problems? If not i'm going to get it.
I use MAC and PC and have experienced no such thing.
Interesting. I just saw another review of it earlier today by NorCal cycling. It's is a very different video than yours. Did he get a lemon? Also the image stabilization looks way better in the RC car than it did in his bike. Granted the bike is much stiffer when compared to suspension on the car but the surface looks way rougher than the road he was riding on. Great review as always man!
Also, I think I'm gonna try using my remote that came in a much cheaper akaso camera after seeing you use it. It seemed very convinent! I thought it was just a gimmick honestly lmao!
As on comment menitoned on the NorCal review, it looks like stabilization was not turned on: "infinity xtx
5 months ago (edited) @Drew Kime I am not seeing the cropping on the Akaso footage therefore NO STABALIZATION!!
@UCU5bLRr4Nbdfu-QMJYFMrJQ
Excellent review ordered one before the video finished. Do you know how many hours of footage you can record at 4k30 on a 128gb micro SD card?
I have no idea but it would be a super large amount of hours
Tnx for reviewing, just the video i was searching for. The only problem now is the brave 7 le is mostly sold out from where im from which is a good sign it is a good product.
Great video, thanks. Does it WiFi with iPhone ? Thanks
What is better in 4k 30fps video recording? Akaso brave 7Le or Apeman A100?
Thank you in advance for your response :))
Nice video!
Iam planning to buy action camera for vlogging! But thank's to you for reviewing the any kind of camera! Iam just a small vlogger! Iam from Republic of the Philippines! The smaller island in the Asia!
I have the 50X and I love it!!! Super easy to use, great video in 4k and the best part, it is dirt cheap.
can i use 50x for riding motorcycle? did you have any issues with the v50x?
@@suzukisv6507 Yes! I have it on mine for a year now. Great in 4k. I use it mostly in 1080. Video is smooth and zero shaking. Batteries run up to 90 mins each. You should get more batteries or use USB cable to constant charging.
@@alp3781 thank you cause i was thinking of buying DJI OSMO but if it is close in quality maybe akaso is the better option considering the money
@@suzukisv6507 I am so appreciative to Akaso that I am looking now to get the Bravo 7LE. These cameras quality for the simple life vs the dollar is unmatched. Make sure you get the memory card they recommending. Good luck !!!!
Nice camera video very good and price.
How's "Campark V40 4K compared to Akaso Brave 7 LE"? Thanks in Advance. Very prudent videos u upload I must say. :-)
Great review....What's the max size memory card? How far away can you be with the remote and phone?
I have the GoPro Hero 8 and am happy with the stabilization and quality of picture, but this one might be worth the effort to give it a try. I need a camera to use on my boat when offshore fishing. It would be clamped onto the tower and can quickly grab and get up close action, but would like the option to have it plugged up to either a power bank or external USB power to keep it going all day. I can't do this with the GoPro as it will overheat and shut down.
On my older GoPro Hero3 Black, I was able to connect to power and also an HDMI feed to my boat electronic display and view on the large screen. Again, I can't do this on any of the later GoPro Camera models, so looking for a different camera that can do this. Any idea on this one?
Great features great price excelint value A+
Very nice camera for the price. How long does each battery last in video mode? Keep on keeping on Captain. Thank you for all the fantastic reviews and videos.
In my useage, the batteries were lasting over an hour.
Hello sir I love watching your videos
Def wanted to buy the insta 360 but the overheating and the hack/workaround are a no go. I’m attaching this to a 3 year old and don’t want to risk the overheating.
This sounds like a better option minus the $500 price tag
Also, thanks for listing all the software and hardware for filming.
Dji called they would like their design back ;)
Lol
Got em
i bought the camera because i saw this video an did a bunch of research and it is a very sturdy good camera
Great feedback video. Easy to understand!
I see your external lapel microphone, which you say is/was connected to your Brave 7 LE, but the Amazon feedback says that the 7 LE doesn't support an external mic??
My lapel mic was connected to a digital external recording device and not the camera
Good review - thanks.
Can it be worn on the wrist without the waterproof case?
I don't need wifi etc so will be turning most of the jazzy stuff off. I just need a good quality cam with decent battery life. My GoPro lasts about 90 mins - how long would this last on one battery at 1080 with no wifi, no screens etc?
Thanks
Thanks for your review and the most important Point for us Pilot's, the fov are to narrow. Ok, the stabilazion are also important an not hypersmooth likley.
If I doesn't have a quad, then I would absolutely buy it. I like this cheeper one with a good picture for the price.
It would be interesting to know if the accelerometer data could be used with the plugin REELSteadyGo that gopro uses?
Does the touchscreen display flip when you choose image flip for when you have to mount the camera upside down?
