A lot of the game's UI components, such as the buffs in the top left, the drowning indicator, the HP and Mana bars, break when using a character with an HP value that isn't a multiple of 20. I've used -20HP characters in the past, but it turns out to be a non-trivial advantage. The fishron mount speeds up when the character is at less than or equal to half of their max HP, meaning any max HP value less than or equal to 0 will have a permanently boosted fishron mount. In the end, I've just accepted that the broken UI is part of the challenge.
This run is seeded, meaning the world is not randomly generated. Seed: 1.3.2.0845231719.

1HP hardcore has been completed on a random seed before by 404 island owner (albeit with major abuses - hoiking and mob cap exploitation), you can watch the playthrough here: space.bilibili.com/2075535/ch.... There are probably more completions that I don't know about.

Not taking any damage at all on the way to the moon lord is actually insane, especially without any crazy exploits. Even if you knew the whole world layout beforehand this is insane. Massive congratulations, i hope this is seen by the entire terraria community.

this is insane, i beat legendary mode on hardcore but i would never dare attempt a 1hp hardcore speedrun, even on classic. its so easy to take damage in this game and being able to do this in just over 2 hours is incredible

Ikr, especially when the game has things like thorn vines, spikes, traps, plus drowning dmg, crispy honey blocks(i hate these things), suffocate dmg, clearing the whole game without getting a single dmg is just insane

@@ytc4071 most of that is down to just brute forcing his way through this run. since he's using the same seed every time, doing hundreds of runs in the same world, he's probably going to remember where most hazards are lol. Not that it invalidates the run, but it's a huuuuuge asterisk.

@@user-ii6te7bt2f Иллюзии императрицы сами по себе не дамажат (первый момент), а колючки (момент через 10 секунд) начинают наносить урон не сразу, а буквально через секунду. Там видно, как только он вышел из колючки, она стала шире - то есть начала наносить урон. Первое появление - просто визуальное

@@Ferno556 Well, how do i put this.... I don't mind speedrunners using such tricks, but NMA implies using mostly intended mechanics, so in my opinion you should use unintended mechanics as little as possible.
How is it and unintended mechanic though? If the devs didn't intend it then they would make you save your position in the world when you left. It is pretty simple to do.
@@thegoldenraysoftheglorious1180 Maybe you are right, or maybe they just don't want to fix this because with IPs this big any change can make some people mad. It works fine for normal playthroughs, but existance of magic mirrors and recall potions implies you are not supposed to use it that way
The existence of recall potions and magic mirrors is so you can return to base, not despawn mobs. The NMA ruleset does allow relogging in case you were wondering
