Good to have you back! The lesson came just in time for me too, I'm in the process of switching to 3 or 4 fingers, not sure yet what I end up with. Playing with the thumb makes me feel like losing control over my muting, and I'm using floating thumb already.
Nash J. Yeah man you do lose muting when you play with your thumb, but you’ll find that if you use your ears as you play you’ll find ways to keep the instrument sounding musical. For example the left hand can actually mute while playing. It’s something that I discovered have crept into my playing without me really thinking about it. Good luck!
Always love your lessons and playing dude! Welcome back. I was excited when this popped up and now I’m inspired! Cheers.
