- JFRD responds to a highway interchange with a semi that has flipped over a guardrail and on an embankment with the driver trapped and another passenger killed in the wreck.
This was a tricky extrication requiring the Special Operations team on hand to assist crews with freeing the trapped driver. Once the driver was freed, efforts needed to be shifted to removing the passenger who unfortunately was deceased.
Sit back and watch this RAW footage of a complicated extrication.

And thanks for watching...
Vehicle extrication sometimes gets complicated, which is why training is so key. Good job JFRD.
there is no doubt...thank you!
*AWESOME COVERAGE FAULOUS JOB FRIDE🚒🚒🧑🚒*
Awesome coverage. Fabulous job by all resonders...🤗🤗
Thank you so much
I'm a volunteer FF and these really help me to learn what I need to be more ready.
Thank you for putting these out!
thanks for watching! Keep learning
I agree. Great comment
@@choppermike3329 keep watching
So sad to see things like this happen rip and thank you to all the members of the first responders godbless
It is sad…and it is part of life as we do not live in a perfect world…cherish life
I have much respect for the men and women who have to tend to the recovery and then removal of the victims of a fatal or injury crash .
It isn't always easy
Awesome job done by all! I’m sure it never gets easy! 🙏
thanks
My boyfriend drives from lake city to Jacksonville everyday and works construction I worry about all the traffic and wrecks but you guys do a great job
they happen everywhere everyday! Just need to stay alert.
You guys are great, thank you for your sevice❤
That is so kind...thanks for watching
You all did an excellent job. Have a great day my friends, and stay safe ❤️🙂⚘️🚒.
thanks! And we will try!
Can I ask what a Special Operations Team is? Do they have extra training for extractions or more training then regular Fire Rescue ? I am completely impressed with what you heroes do and thankful to have emergency responders that are so well trained! They saved my Mom here in Columbus Oh after she had 2 strokes and were so quick she had minimal long term damage! So thank you all so very much for everything you do!! Your the guys and gals running in when everyone else is running out ....so much respect!!
High angle, confined space, heavy machinery...yes, they are generally advanced in the training department...they are also all members of our USAR team
Great job all. God bless you all in this difficult extration. Please stay safe and healthy. AND what is that horn that keeps blasting..? Please. 🚒🤗😢❤
Thank you!
That is the trucks horn…it happened in wrecks like this
@@thejfrd2490 Thank you. I never realized that. 😳 Be safe all!
we are here to inform the best we can.@@caroleknappsmith9010
EMS here. I noticed that your Coroner was not in any of your footage, are they responsible for removing the deceased? Fatalities are so hard on Fire, EMS, and families, because we never have the answers to the questions to why?
Because of the complicated positioning/entrapment, our crews actually removed this one
wow that guardrail didn't stand a chance! sucks that someone was fatally inured in this with the survivor trapped knowing that
A difficult situation to say the least.
I had some friends who drove big rigs. They had some horrifying tales about what cars and pickups did to them.
Sadly some of that is intentional for $$$
I Can’t Imagine How Difficult It Is on a Daily Basis How Hard It Is When You Are Faced With a Horrible Situation That it Effects Each and Everyone You Cares Deeply About Saving Lives on a Daily Basis And I Thank You For Sharing and Be Careful ☺️I’m joining your IG page
We knew what we signed up for...but we have to look out for each other just the same....thanks
I feel very sorry for the driver as the lady was probably his wife. RIP
that would be very unfortunate.
My husband is a big rig driver and although he’s rated as his company’s top driver with an impeccable safety rating, it’s people in cars and other truck drivers I worry about!
No idea what happened, but maybe the driver took that turn too fast. Condolences to the family and friends of the woman killed. Sad and tragic combined 🥺😓🙏🏻 Rest in peace.
We don't know what happened either...we just work with what we are presented with.
Jeez...looked more like a plane crash
Pretty horrific scene for sure.
Not sure if this is at the I10/295 ramp but this isn't the 1st truck to turn over there. I remember when a tanker rolled there some years ago.. sadly the driver didn't make it
I have been to 4 or 5 here myself
What state was this in?
Florida
Was he DOA?
One victim was
The guy in white playing with his radio 😂
Hardly playing....but thanks for your input
chief officers in the arms crossed position🤣🤣🤣🤣
What would you prefer to see?? Please tell
Showed ALL that work, then CUT most of bringing the driver, and ALL of *actually* bringing the woman out! I don't get it.
Can’t identify them…and not going to show a dead person
Thankfully, they believe in giving the victims privacy.
it is also the law...it's called HIPAA
But you also need to ask yourself, what if this were me or a family member, 'what would I want?'@@55VickyV
They are too afraid of showing what bad driving can do. So folks just don't see what these firemen/EMT see all the time. If only they just show it, folks will finally get it and drive better.
I drive a car every day
So do I
I don’t understand. Two firefighters are wearing sterile gloves, presumably to tend to the patient. Then, why did they put their gloved hands on the dirty guard rail. Doesn’t that contaminate the gloves and defeat their purpose?
The gloves are to protect them from body fluids.
they are not attempting to be sterile...we are not in a hospital environment...what we are trying to do is to protect ourselves from blood born pathogens and these gloves are part of our PPE (personal protective equipment)
Wtf is the need for so many uniformed standing crowding around?
Everyone wants to help and work...it happens at every extrication I have ever seen
How many hands would you want to be there if it was YOU trapped in the truck?
@@thejfrd2490 I've been a FF/EMT for over three decades and we have more uniformed personnel now than ever before and IMHO the more eyes, the more ideas, better safety for everyone. They catch things we may not be concentrating on.
@@choppermike3329 that is true

Absolutely you are right. I appreciate what firemen do. don't make it difficult and how they the job
