Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department responds to commercial building fire

- The initial dispatch for JFRD was for a woods fire...it was then upgraded to a commercial building fire. The fire started to the rear of the structure then spread and caught the building and its contents on fire.
This was a commercial yard furniture business with a packed warehouse with a heavy fire load. Crews had to go defensive from the start as this fire was way advanced upon arrival.
Sit back and watch this RAW footage of a heavily involve commercial structure fire.
The business was not occupied and there were no injuries reported at this fire.

And thanks for watching...
Hopefully there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, and yeah a lot of fire blowing through the roof of that building.
Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
No injuries...as stated in the description.
@@thejfrd2490 cool
@@ronfreniere8769 thanks
Great video. Good use of saws. Safety officer should be doing some helmet tapping about the PASS.
Thanks for your input.
So worried about the PASS when literally everyone is outside and can be visually accounted for.
I notice some guys have black helmets & some have yellow. Is that to distinguish based on certification level??
No sir...Black are firefighters or engineers...yellow are officers, Lieutenant or Captain, white are chiefs, and red is Hazmat
Just wondering why the callers, dispatch and fire ground audio is no longer here.
It wasn't available for this fire...we include it when we can.
I know this is an old post but does anyone know what started the original fire before the building got involved
IOt was turned over to the state...but have my own speculations that we won't put on social media
@@thejfrd2490 OK fair enough
thanks for understanding@@albertomadeirajr7824
Tell camera man to chill😏. Putting out fire overrides “the shot”😊
I am the camera man...the people I told to move we doing ABSOLUTELY nothing...would you rather see their back instead of the fire...I'll send you a photo of a back if that's what you like.
They didn’t pin the waterway! 😮
very astute of you to notice...love how everyone likes to point out the mistakes like they are perfect and don't make any...
Yes, they didn't and made a mistake...but it still worked.
@@thejfrd2490 Here to help 😉
@@TomManning-cs4el That's a great point...because we are not perfect and every fire we fight is not perfect...Honestly...the fires we do textbook, I cannot get there fast enough to show that...they are out by the time I arrive...so most of the videos are from really big fires, or where things have not gone "textbook"
Thanks for learning with us!
Lol can they not hear their own pass device going off?
It is common at defensive fires to have the pass alarms going off because of lack of movement as hoselines are manned outside.
when was this
Palm Casual furniture at Beach & SJB in 2019.

Definsive fire with no life hazard, commercial structure..trying to save what’s left of the building
Yes sir! No need to risk a life with no lives to save!
idk how/why that PASS is just going off nonstop for so long. Poor PASS etiquette leads to complacency and makes us desensitized to it's importance when it is alarming for real reason, especially at a larger scene where people are easier to lose track of. Not to mention it's annoying.
A defensive attack makes each firefighter stand still much more...the alarms are sensitive and the firefighters get locked in on what they are doing...I don't think you are just hearing one of them going off...but yes, they should make more of an effort to quiet them.
