I had never heard anything like it. From this i discovered Ride, Slowdive, Medicine, Sonic Youth, Catherine Wheel and so many others that added so much beauty to my life. Glad to see them at it again.
I have to say. I saw RIDE in Boston a few years ago, and this has always been my favorite song. And I don't mean my favorite Ride song, i mean my favorite song of all time and I listen to tons of stuff. So they are playing on the reunion tour and hit Boston and I'm a little bumded that the crowd isnt bigger and I listened to vapour trail seriously more then 1,000 times and now for the first time i am watching them play this song live and I swear I am overscome with emotion. I can't help that Tears are just streaming down my face. maybe the most emotional moment Ive ever had just over this song.
I don't think I ever expected to hear Ride on KEXP. I didn't even know they were still making music. This really takes me back, thanks for the memories :) :) :)

A friend introduced me to her friend in a bar years ago. We'd been chatting for a while when I asked him what he did. He said he'd been in a band called Ride. "Oh, are you Mark Gardener?!" "Yes." He was very nice about it. And I was able to tell him I love this song.

A buried treasure-type band from that era was called Swell. They were from San Francisco. A pure vibe that still resonates in 2022.
