Always grind that tab off the back of the pad. it's absolutely pointless and in countries that salt the road it eventually makes the pad wear at an angle.
Any real person that does brakes the correct way with no your back pad. The indicator is supposed to be at the top, so there is an inside pad and there’s an outside pad.

Sometimes you can attach the calliper but when you tighten it up the wheel will bee locked. Ask me how I know. Great tip
