They're the same. I had a Crossman vigilante long before this version of the bug-a-salt came out. I used to fill the rings with salt and tape both sides. 😂
I know this video is a couple years old, but is there any possibility of a barrel and drill guide being available, or info on where I can get what I need to make the mods myself?

Very cool what you have done with it. Sent you an eBay message hoping you might have one of these mod kits laying around, that perhaps was not sold and simply forgotten about. So if there's one available I'll buy it.

@Texoma Precision Pellet If you really want to see the Shred-Er's performance increased install the plastic barrel and work up some slurry loads (corn starch and salt mixture, with a drop of water)
Contact me through the website, I don't think I'm getting anymore barrels, but I made several that worked fine and just weren't particularly pretty (You don't see it inside the gun anyway). I will be happy to send you one.

Yes, hindsight is truly 20/20, but for those who have already laid out a bunch of money on a Bug A Salt, this gives them a new option for its expanded use.
I tried it with 38 special and a primer. Nowadays primers are too expensive for plinking so I'm looking at air guns. I want to get the Gamo air shotgun and will make wax and hot glue slugs

I just bought a “Crosman Tripple Threat” which is basically the vigilante with 3 barrels (including 8”).
